OCN’s new drama “Watcher” has confirmed its main cast.
“Watcher” will be a psychological thriller that follows three people whose lives are destroyed by a tragic accident as they become a team that uncovers corruption and fights against people with power. With an interesting premise of good cops catching bad cops, the drama will talk about the various facets of humanity in a new way.
Han Suk Kyu (Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim) will play the role of Do Chi Kwang, the head of the anti-corruption team. He was a thoughtful, elite police officer who felt pride in catching the bad guys but after a series of events, he uncovers corruption in the police force and realizes the importance of internal monitoring, and he becomes the col and exact team leader who doesn’t let personal relationships cloud his judgment.
Seo Kang Joon (The Third Charm) will play Kim Young Goon, a motor patrol officer. Though he is a warm and affectionate person, he hides all of that at his job and acts cold and distant. He had applied to work as a motor patrol officer because he wanted to work alone, and by chance, he meets Do Chi Kwang, who has something to do with something that happened to him in the past. Though Kim Young Goon had tried to erase his shocking past, meeting Do Chi Kwang leads him to join the anti-corruption team to find the truth.
With them will be Kim Hyun Joo, who will play the popular lawyer Han Tae Joo. After being admitted to the police academy, she changed paths to become an elite prosecutor. During her career as a prosecutor, an investigation she got involved in went too far and she almost lost her life in the process. Since then, she has set up her own private law firm after quitting her job as a prosecutor, and fate leads her to the anti-corruption team.
The production staff stated, “‘Watcher’ will be a psychological thriller that follows the duality of human beings through various investigations. This drama has been in the works for over two years, and we are doing our best to create the greatest drama. Han Suk Kyu, Seo Kang Joon, and Kim Hyun Joo will play characters they have never played before, so please anticipate it.”
“Watcher” will be directed by Ahn Gil Ho, who worked on “Memories of the Alhambra” and “Stranger", and the script will be written by Han Sang Woon, who wrote “The Good Wife.” The drama is set to begin airing in the second half of the year.

However, producers of 'Come Back Home' gave a different reason for the delay, stating, "The program title was confirmed later than expected, so the filming schedule was naturally delayed."
As previously reported, Jo Byung Kyu is currently facing bullying allegations, which his label denied. While the first netizen who made the accusations admitted he posted false information, a second and third netizen also spoke up.

A new JTBC variety show is headed your way!
On April 10, JTBC shared new details about “Most Normal Family” (literal title), an upcoming TV program that will reveal the relatable everyday lives of celebrity families.
Unlike other family reality shows, “Most Normal Family” aims to analyze the root of conflicts and offer families guidance and solutions. The program will depict relatable concerns, such as a married couple in disagreement over their child’s education, a parent and a child who become awkward around one another after living apart for a long time, and a mother-in-law interfering with a married couple’s relationship. The families will also work to solve these problems with the help of experts in family psychology.
HaHa, Jang Sung Kyu, and actress Han Go Eun will appear as the show’s MCs and “family solution helpers.” Han Go Eun will provide honest suggestions and ideas for solutions as a “most normal wife” who has a close relationship with her husband and parents-in-law. As a husband of nine years and a father of three children, Haha will lend realistic advice from the perspective of a “most normal father.” Jang Sung Kyu will also add witty commentary and give fun advice as a “most normal husband” who succeeded at marrying his first love and is now a loving father to his son.
The program will also feature in-depth advice by experts from various fields, including Dr. Oh Eun Young, who is well-known for her appearances on the SBS show “Our Children Have Changed.”

TV Chosun’s “Going to the End” (literal title) is a reality documentary where entertainers explore amazing phenomenons from all over the world and experience them firsthand. It is a documentary that is interesting and touching as well as funny and warm.
The real experience variety show “Going to the End” is composed of four parts: “On the Way to School” (literal title) starring actors Lee Kyu Han and Kim Jin Woo, “Luxury Wild House” (literal title) starring close friends and comedians Heo Kyung Hwan and Park Sung Kwang, “In the Line of Fire” (literal title) starring comedian Jung Sung Ho, and “Producer Don” (literal title) starring Don Spike.
Shin Dong Yup shared, “When I first received the offer, I was interested in the project because it was different from existing variety shows. There are two kinds of programs I usually host. One is a program that is really fun, and the other is a program that I can experience things through, relate with, think seriously about life, and reflect. When I saw the proposal for ‘Going to the End,’ it was close to the latter. I was curious about the new world I would be able to see through the program, and because the cast members were juniors I am close to, I was more attached to it. Also, the latter programs I have been in were successful in the long run.”

“Shall We Chicken” is a show where three hosts compete with recipes and the winner is decided by viewers’ votes. The show will devote time toward researching recipes and learning about the basics of cooking.
The three hosts of the show are Kim Joon Hyun, Lee Kyu Han, and Girls’ Generation’s Sunny. During the first day of filming, the three celebrities received a mission to showcase their cooking skills.
Lee Kyu Han said, “A recipe is something you glance at” and was the most laid-back of the three hosts. Showing his confidence in food, Kim Joon Hyun stated, “How much could skinny chefs possibly have eaten?”
This is Sunny’s first cooking show and it took her a long time to prepare the ingredients. However, she was able to surprise everyone with her skills by paying close attention to the details of the recipe, making viewers look forward to the growth of her cooking skills.
“Shall We Chicken” premieres on May 12 at 9:30 a.m. KST.
On January 3, a source confirmed that the three actors will be working together for the upcoming drama “Ugeumchi” (working title).
The drama will tell a story of two brothers who have different mothers but share the same father. They get separated during a riot that is now known as the Donghak Peasant’s Movement in 1894, where religious leaders of Donghak (translates to “Eastern Religion”) and the peasants of Jeolla Province joined forces together against the government that was pushing for the growth of Catholicism at the time.
Jo Jung Suk will appear as the older brother Baek Yi Kang who was born out of wedlock as the son of his father’s wife’s slave. With a sharp look and cold smile, he speaks with sarcasm in his voice and likes to pick a fight.
On the other hand, Yoon Shi Yoon will play the role of the younger brother Baek Yi Hyun. While he is the youngest son in the family, he is also the first “rightful son” born under the wife. With a graceful appearance and speaking manner, he shows much respect for his older brother.
Lastly, Han Ye Ri will take the role of Song Ja In. She is the only child of Song Bong Gil, the peddler of peddlers in Jeolla Province. With both charisma and courage, she also runs a shop where she trades goods for money, striving to be the best peddler in the history of Korea.
“Ugeumchi” is written by Jung Hyun Min of “Jeong Do Jeon” and “Assembly” and will be directed by Shin Kyung Soo of “Three Days” and “Six Flying Dragons.” It is set to air early 2019 as SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama.

##Description of the show >Knowing Bros is a school-themed variety program that invites guests (or "transfer students") into their class for a day. The classroom, which is the first regular part of the show, has the guests ask personal questions about themselves for the cast members to answer. The humour is quite direct and the cast members don't hold back much.
