Upcoming film “Happy New Year” (literal title) has finalized its star-studded cast lineup!
“Happy New Year” centers around the people who come to Hotel Emrose, each with stories of their own, and build new relationships. The actors cast in the movie are Han Ji Min, Lee Dong Wook, Kang Ha Neul, Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, Won Jin Ah, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Young Kwang, Go Sung Hee, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Kyu Hyung, Jo Joon Young, Won Ji An, Lee Hye Young, and Jung Jin Young.
Han Ji Min plays a hotel manager who is always on the ball when it comes to work but is hesitant to confess her feelings to her male friend of 15 years. Hotel Emrose’s young and competent CEO who has an obsession for even numbers is played by Lee Dong Wook. Kang Ha Neul will be a job-seeker who has failed the civil service examination for five years and was even dumped by his girlfriend. YoonA takes on the role of a confident hotelier, while Won Jin Ah plays a musical actress who puts her dreams aside for a moment and works as the hotel’s new chambermaid.
Seo Kang Joon plays a singer-songwriter and radio DJ who has finally risen to stardom after a long period of being a no-name. Lee Kwang Soo will be the manager who has to watch on while the artist he has worked with for a long time grows into a superstar and receives offers from big agencies as the expiration of his contract approaches. Kim Young Kwang and Go Sung Hee will act as a radio show PD (producing director) and a jazz pianist who get from their first encounter to preparing for their wedding in the blink of an eye. Lee Jin Wook plays a plastic surgeon who comes to the hotel’s lounge every Saturday night and waits for a special person to show up.
Lee Hye Young plays the hotel’s main doorman, and Jung Jin Young plays an entrepreneur who returns to Korea to attend his daughter’s wedding, only to find his first love from 40 years ago and dream of a midlife romance. Lee Kyu Hyung will be a fortune teller who frequents Hotel Emrose and tells his clients’ fortunes. Young actors Jo Joon Young and Won Ji An will play a high school swimmer and a high school figure skater who are embroiled in their friends’ “confession challenge.”
“Happy New Year” will be helmed by director Kwak Jae Yong of “My Sassy Girl,” and “The Classic” and produced by Hive Media Corp. of “Inside Men,” “The Man Standing Next,” and “Deliver Us from Evil.” Filming began on April 19, and the movie will be released both in theaters and through TVing.

Han Ji Min (Familiar Wife, The Light in Your Eyes) and Jung Hae In (Something in the Rain) are confirmed to appear in ‘Spring Night’ (literal title). It has been confirmed by MBC representative on January 29. It was previously reported that Son Ye Jin considering to star in the drama.
The plot is about a couple that has been together for a long time. When the topic of marriage comes up, they begin to re-evaluate their relationship. All of that is complicated when potential new love interests appear, and they start to realize what their real feelings are.
Han Ji Min will play a role as Lee Jung in, a research libraries. She will showcase lives of women in their thirties. Jung Hae-in as Yoo Ji Ho, a warm and upright pharmacist.
The drama will be directed by PD Ahn Pan Seok and writer Kim Eun who have worked with Jung Hae In for JTBC drama “Something in the Rain” last year. The drama is set to premiere in May.

It tells the story of a woman who lost time before she got to use it all and a man who lives his brightest days by doing nothing and wasting them away. It will be a fantasy drama that follows the lives of two people who live in the same time but also live in completely different times.
Kim Seok Yoon PD and screenwriters Lee Nam Kyu and Kim Soo Jin will be working together again, with their previous collaborations including productions like “Awl,” “My Wife is Having an Affair This Week,” “Old Miss Diary” and the “Detective K” film series.
Kim Hye Ja(Dear My Friends) and Han Ji Min(Familiar Wife) will both be playing the role of Kim Hye Ja, a woman who finds herself with the ability to travel through time. The character is an extremely positive and loyal person who hopes to become a news anchor and can’t stand by when she sees injustice taking place. Despite having the power to manipulate time, she finds herself caught in a complicated situation no matter what she does.
Nam Joo Hyuk(Bride of Habaek) will take on the role of Lee Joon Ha, who wishes to become a reporter. His character has been so focused on running full-steam ahead towards his dream job that he has become someone who is throwing away the best days of his life and living a lethargic life.
Son Ho Jun(Terius Behind Me) will play Kim Hye Ja’s older brother Kim Young Soo, who isn’t bogged down by time and is full of mischief. He works as a content creator and is expected to bring big laughs with his character.
“Dazzling” began filming in October and is expected air on JTBC's Monday-Tuesday drama timeslot in 2019.
