A list of puns related to "Hamilton Song"

Dont know what else to say, sums it all up perfectly.
Iβm kind of bored and wanna hear what you guys say
For me itβs a tossup between wait for it, if the World was wide enough, and satisfied
Here's what I think:
Anne Boylen- Say No to This
Kathrine Parr- Who Live Who Dies Who Tells your Story
Kathrine of Aragon- Burn
Idk about the others, but I want to spark discussion.
Thereβs a slow part sung by Thomas Jefferson in Whatβd I Miss (starts around 58 seconds in this video) from Hamilton. I love that style of music but havenβt had success finding songs that channel that slow style of music and singing. Is there a name for that genre, or other songs that channel that musical style?
U.S government is the subject were learning about and im using multiple song to help me memorize and all major marks are checked so far so neat huh
I just had an idea for a TDP song parody! I was listening to Alexander Hamilton and thought "What if the citizens of Xadia sung about Callum, Rayla, and Ezran as if they're telling a tale about 3 legendary kids (and an animal companion) who changed Xadian history?" BROOOO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?!
Even though it makes me cry and makes me very angry at men, itβs still amazing and there is so much emotion and anger and sadness in elizas voice, itβs beautiful

Okβ¦ please donβt say βYouβll be backβ I donβt think itβs a true villain song cause in the context of the musical, King George III is not that important. So I think Aaron Burr is the villain and his villain song is βWait for it.β Itβs in the first act so itβs set up for everything else he does in the musical. And the line βwait for itβ comes back in multiple songs. So thatβs my pick, I want to hear yours.
Hello! This is my first post on here, so what better first post than something I've had ready since summer last year.
I'll cut to the chase:
Now look, I'm not saying 'Satisfied' doesn't have genius lyrics, or that 'Guns and Ships' isn't blindingly fast, or that 'My Shot' doesn't represent Hamilton's character perfectly, but I personally believe that 'The Room Where It Happens', taking into account the choreography, the performances, and the rest of the show leading up to it, is the best musical number in Hamilton.
I promise I have good reasons
(I wouldn't've made a whole ass subreddit about essays and analyses if I didn't lol)
Here we go:
Let's start off with something simple:
When you're listening to The Room Where It Happens, the first thing that immediately jumps out at you is the style of the music, and especially that intro. It's just so different from everything else in the show, and it makes the song so much more memorable. There's a reason you remember You'll Be Back or What'd I Miss - those number just stand out so much, and for good reason too.
These style choices were very deliberate, and always represent the character singing. What'd I Miss is very specifically 50s-60s rock instead of the 80s-90s Hip-Hop that Hamilton & Co. have been using for almost all of act 1 - it shows just how much Jefferson has missed, and how behind the times he really is. You'll Be Back takes this to the extreme, with a classic, regal atmosphere that shows just how stuck in the past Britain was (and still is tbh).
The Room Where It Happens does this too - it's a slick, jazzy, showtune, which stands out against the rest of the show and, importantly, emphasises how behind Burr is - remember that he's been waiting and waiting for most of the show at this point while Hamilton and his friends have been blazing forwards. So now, he's so behind that his style of music is completely different from everyone else.
And the final cherry on top: Burr goes right back to rap in the very next number, Schuyler defeated. Chef's Kiss
Here we go. Here's the meat:
Without a doubt, one of the biggest strengths of The Room Where It Happens is it's storytelling. It starts off from Burr's perspective, where the general events of the meeting are laid out. This is brilliant because it's enough to give us useful context, but only just t
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have recently been listening to the Hamilton workshop (from may 2014) and its so cool to hear the original draft of songs before it got to stage and hearing the changes that were made. But i wonder why they changed or removed songs entirely because i think they were better than the ones that came out on stage. For example i absolutely love the original one last time to the one that got released and really wished let it go could of stayed. Does anyone else have any songs that they prefer or do you prefer the songs that got changed later on.
The link for the workshop for anyone who hasnt seen it. (it has most of the origanal cast besides washington and peggy/maria)

Just something I realized today that is all. what do you think?
https://strawpoll.com/acyxv6g5z
(By continuation in the poll, I mean the songs like Aaron Burr, Sir and My shot, where the second song happens at the same place, or at least the transition between songs)
Was there a political scandal in Albany regarding corruption sometime in the late 1700s? Was Hamilton somehow involved? I know that the musical has a lot of issues in regards to historical accuracy, but I was hoping that maybe there might be a bit more to this than a throwaway line. The song also mentions the Levi Weeks case, but that might not be helpful timeline-wise because within the context of the musical it's before the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and the murder trial took place in 1800.
I have an audition on Friday for a singing role, Ive been inbetween songs for the past two weeks but i decided βBurnβ fit my vocal range well and thought it would be a good song to sing, however i have been reminded my performing arts group is PG only, and Burn is not considered PG. Does anyone know of any songs similar vocally but more appropriate i could sing for my audition.
The song has to be from a musical or a film as the theme of the show is film night, thanks :)
I'm trying to see if there's a full song available from season 1, episode 6 (The lazy lizard school of hedonism) of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia. The song plays at 18 minutes and 50 second into the episode.
The lyrics are as such:
Casey, a student, looking for a teacher in life
so he enrolled in the academy of lsd-25
when he saw the lawman's reality it was just black and white
he set out on a mission to chemically show them the light
I found the audio producers on Linkedin, but don't know which one to ask, and don't want to bug them.
Hi all! Iβm posting from mobile, so I apologize for formatting issues.
I absolutely LOVE hamilton, and have been listening to the soundtrack since I was in 5th grade, when it came out! I am currently pursuing musical theatre, and there are a few songs in the musical which compliment my voice and I would love to audition with them. However, as said in the title, Iβm white. I realize that Lin Manuel created the musical to be specifically performed by PoC, so Iβm not sure of whether it would be appropriate or not. I am not trying to provoke or offend anyone, I am simply trying to get an answer so that my actions donβt negatively impact others or appropriate or benefit off of the work of PoC.
Please also feel free to link any articles you have found about it, since I have not been able to find one about Hamilton. Thanks!
Edit: Hello again! I wanted to thank everyone for your advice and feedback on this matter. I really appreciate what you all had to say and will take into account your thoughts were I to choose a Hamilton song for an audition. Also to clarify things: Iβm a soprano and I couldnβt sing King Georgeβs songs well at all. I absolutely did not mean to offend anyone or seem racist, so please let me know if I did and what I can do better! Lastly, I understand that music is meant to be enjoyed by everyone, but I brought up the question because I didnβt want to be culturally insensitive or profit from something that isnβt right to profit from. Thanks again!
I think there are LOTS of underrated songs in the musical, but what about the ones that are just too popular? I personally think itβs Schuyler Sisters, but what do you think?
Taking into account musical styles, choreography etc
Edit: Thank you all for helping out! I intended to read the Wikipedia plot and listen to the songs. I eventually found the TGC edition and I'm thrilled. So glad to finally see this. Thanks again!
(Dalinar:) I saved every vision you sent me
From the moment I saw them, I knew I will fight
You said I will fight
I thought I will fight
Do you know what Navani said
When we saw your first vision arrives?
She said
"Be careful with Sadeas,
He will do what it takes to survive"
He and his thrill flooded my senses
Their shardblades left me defenseless
We built us battlefields out of cities
We built our last war
I'm re-watching the visions you wrote me
I'm searching and scanning for answers in every line
For some kind of sign, of when she were mine
The world seems to burn
Burn
(Adolin:) You published the visions he sent you
You told the whole world how you brought yourself to kill my mom
In clearing your name, you have ruined our lives
Do you know what Shallan said
When she read what you'd done?
She said
"You have born to an radiant,
He has flown too close to the sun"
You and your words, obsessed with your legacy
Your sentences border on senseless
And you are paranoid in every paragraph
How they perceive you
You, you, you
I'm erasing you now from the narrative [note, not in the song: this is why Dalinar has so little parts in RoW] Let future cosmere fans wonder how Evi reacted when
you broke her heart
You have torn it all apart, and you were watching it
Burn
Watching it burn
(Dalinar, in front of cultivation:) The world has no right to my heart
The war has no place in my life
They don't get to know what I said
I'm burning the memories
Burning the memories that might have redeem me
(To Evi) I forfeit all rights to your heart
I forfeit your place in my mind
I can't hear your name anymore
And no more the memories of when you were mine
Of when you have burned
