A list of puns related to "Hamerotz Lamillion 4"
I just finished all seasons of TAR, TARAU, and TARCAN and I am now interested in watching the Israeli version of TAR.
Among the TAR hardcore fanbase, the four English-language versions of the show are considered the important ones: CBS's in the US, Seven's and 10's in Australia, CTV's in Canada and the now-defunct TAR Asia of AXN which lightened up the darkest parts of the Dark Age with Asias 2, 3 and 4, all of which helped to counter the 14-15-16 stretch. However, the non-English language versions of TAR also have hidden quality within them, like TAR China Rush (not to be confused with TAR China without the Rush) which was a high-effort tourism stunt where any English-speaking citizens from anywhere in the world would participate in an otherwise normal race solely within China's borders. Or TAR Latin America, which was akin to TAR Asia in it allowing multiple countries' teams to form international rivalries and draw in viewers from across the whole continent. Even while these two get overlooked constantly, one thing that the hardcore fanbase, even those who haven't seen it, will all agree on is that by far the best international non-English (and maybe even best overall) TAR version is HaMerotz LaMillion.
Before I get to why Hamerotz is so brilliant (just as a translation, HaMerotz LaMillion literally means The Race To The Million), I want to talk about the production company that produces it: activeTV.
Do they sound familiar? I may have mentioned them before. They are the elusive geniuses of the franchise who can turn stones into gold, sprout flowers from the earth and raise corpses back to life (as far as TAR is concerned). Every legendary TAR season not made by CBS was set into motion by their team.
They got their start as the production company hired to do TAR Asia 1. It was shit. They had a really low budget, but that doesn't quite excuse their bumbling with the execution, the fact that they reused multiple things from the US version and made them worse, as well as the lack of creativity found in that season overall. However, a bad first foray did not reflect their true potential, and they would rebound with the outstanding Asias 2, 3 and 4, all of which are held solidly in the top 1/3 of English TAR seasons, with colourful characters, interesting tasks and which displayed an overall mastery of the format. Sadly after Season 4, TAR Asia would disappear in 2010 (around S16-17 US), only resurfacing to deliver a last hurrah in the form of 2016's TAR Asia 5 (which despite being on another shoestring budget ended up being just as good as the previous three). activeTV w
... keep reading on reddit β‘I mentioned in Part 1 that the summer of 2019 saw three foreign TAR seasons air simultaneously. Today, I'll be looking at the third of these three seasons: HaMerotz LaMillion 7.
Note: Leg 11 was double-length. I count the two parts of Leg 11 as two separate legs for statistics purposes.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Luck-based tasks that are located directly before the Pit Stop are one of the biggest sins that course designers on TAR can commit. They can easily render the previous portions of leg entirely pointless and leave the finish order entirely up to luck. These happen from time to time and they're annoying, but not terribly common.
But on the sixth season of TAR Israel, there have been no less than EIGHT of these in the 12 legs so far. It's, quite honestly, infuriating. Here's a quick rundown:
Leg 2 (New York): Teams had to listen to popular Israeli children's song which lists various countries and how they say 'hello'. They have to search New York for people who are from these countries (IE, tourists, not immigrants), and bring them all to a "UN Judge" so they could all say hello in their native language. It's entirely luck-based whether teams can find the correct people in New York's sea of people, not to mention it's pretty much luck if these people agree to walk all the way to Times Square with them or not.
Leg 3 (Honolulu): Teams are given part of a Hawaiian shirt pattern, and must look through 15,000 shirts in a store for one that matches their pattern.
Leg 6 (Cartagena): Teams are given a pallet of panella cubes, and must pick them up and eat them (gross) until they find a tiny race flag hidden under one of them. (The popular celebrity team found their flag under the FIRST one they picked up)
Leg 7 (Kingston, Jamaica): Teams choose from 150 bowls of sugar, and must blow the sugar out of the bowls using only their breath (spraying it in their teammate's face in the process) until they find one bowl that has a banana hidden under the sugar.
Leg 8 (Moscow): Teams watch the Red Army choir sing a song, and must decide which one of them is only lip-syncing. Each member of the choir is holding a sign with a destination, and only the lip-syncing person is holding the location of the Pit Stop. Teams only find out if they're wrong after traveling all the way to the incorrect location. This one is a bit debatable, but teams were placed up in the balcony where it's pretty much impossible to find the one lip-syncing person without just guessing.
Leg 9 (Bishkek): One team member has to wander around the largest market in Central Asia, looking for one of five hanging signs with a multiple choice question about Kyrgyzstan, which they must answer to get a code to unlock a box back at the entrance with their partner. Not only is it luck-based if they can find the s

Here's a list of countries that international versions of TAR have beat the US version to.
Cuba - Cuba has been visited by the Canadian, Israeli, and Australian versions of the show, however the Australian version was the first to visit the country. Cuba has yet to be visited by TAR but with relations between the US and Cuba getting warmer it's becoming more likely that TARUS will be able to visit Cuba soon.
Czech Republic/Czechia - This came as a surprise to me but TAR Asia actually visited the Czech Republic, or Czechia whichever way you like to refer to it, about 2 years prior to TAR's S15 visit.
Indonesia - Both TAR Asia and TAR Australia visited Indonesia prior to TAR 19's visit to the country, however TAR Asia's visit was the first. TAR Canada later visited Indonesia during the heroes edition.
Kyrgyzstan - The Israeli version (HaMerotz LaMillion) is currently the only version to visit Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is also the only "-stan" country to be visited other than Kazakhstan.
Bosnia & Herzegovina - The Israeli version remains the only version to ever visit Bosnia & Herzegovina. Sadly this leg also visites Croatia so there still hasn't been one full leg in this country.
Nepal - Again the Israeli version remains the only version to visit Nepal. The US version was supposed to visit Nepal three times but it got cut twice because of a lack of a scout and replaced once because of interference with Diwali.
Georgia - This came as a surprise to me as well but again the Israel version visited Georgia about 1 year before TAR 28's visit.
Israel - The Australian version and, by default, the Israeli version are the only versions to visit Israel. HaMerotz LaMillion has the first visit to the country however TAR Australia has the first full leg in the country.
Laos - The Vietnamese version of the show visited Laos about 3 years prior to TAR 31's visit.
North Korea - The Vietnamese version remains the only version to visit North Korea. It will likely stay this way due to political tension with the western world and North Korea not recognizing Israel.
Dominican Republic - The Latin American version of the show remains the only version to visit the Dominican Republic.
Curaçao - Technically it's a part of the Netherlands but if you count constituent countries as separate countries then the Latin American version remains the only version to visit Curaçao.
Guatemala - The Latin American version remains the only version to visit the Guatemala.

If you have a gut feeling, weird moment or simply not trusting the car behind you, remember the rule of 4
You know like, after a weird date, that person you cut off and he is raging behind you, at night after class, after work going back home or simply not trusting that car that as been behind you since you came back from the shopping center.
Itβs a good thing to know the streets near your house, driving around a few blocks to see where you can do this rule of 4
You take 4 consecutive left turns or You take 4 consecutive right turns.
So in essence, you are doing a square and coming back to the start point.
Ex: you are going back home, this car is on your tail and something feels off. Before arriving home or you continue pass your home. You proceed to take a left turn then a left, another left and finally a left.
The probability of someone in a spur of the moment doing 4 left turns with you is extremely low, either they will fork off at a intersection, enter a driveway, park in the street, make a u-turn or simply continue straight.
This makes you go back so you can go home without that car behind you. Helps you clear your mind of the doubts, is that car really following me. Doesnβt show where you live.
A simple 4 left or 4 right turns, doesnβt take more than a few minutes.
Then you can listen to the song and rate it or something...
Have a wonderful day/night :)
EDIT: it's getting kinda late here... I'm going to sleep and I'll continue tomorrow
EDIT 2: I'm back
I'm a massive fantasy reader and WOT ticks all my boxes. I love the characters and the world. But I just can't. I've never made it past book 8, even tried the audio books. I've tried skimming and chapter summaries. I know how it ends and it sounds amazing. I want to get there so badly...
But I can't get past the slog. From about the 3rd book a pattern develops where the first 1/3 of the book is a recap /rehash, middle 1/3 is a very slow build up, and then the final 1/3 is bloody amazing. I cannot slog through 2/3 of a 1000 page book to get to the good part, and I especially cannot do it for multiple books....
I was about 200 pages into book 7... and then decided to read Salem's Lot instead. Loved it from start to finish. No slog. Life's too short. Read what makes you happy.
Edit to clarify: I like crypto myself, got a punk rock vibe to it. I just don't know what all it gets used for. Also the job in tech is internal tools dev at a medium sized game publisher.
Edit again: Guys the whole point of this post was I don't know shit about what I bought. Regardless of what I think seems like it's worth investing in I'm the LAST person you should be asking for crypto advice. I've gotten multiple DMs. What the fuck lol
Yep. I think about this constantly, I understand the use case for something like Bitcoin. Transfer money with no middle men. I get that.
What the hell are these other chains supposed to be doing? Half my damn portfolio is Ethereum and I genuinely can't tell you what you're supposed to do with it. Why would you develop an app on a Blockchain? Let alone how. Is there some inherent benefit here? God I have no clue.
For the longest time I just thought it was like providing a decentralized version of something like AWS or Azure, like a grass roots server host. Holy shit I was wrong. There's all sorts of shit you can make apparently.
But yeah idk. Feels good to come clean. I got into it cause it seemed like a smart investment and so far so good. But I'm amazed I've not come across any real application of it in my day to day life so far that I'm aware of at least.
I cannot be alone here right? Please. It's wild to me that I understand more about the idea behind what an NFT is (supposed to be) used for than any application of any other blockchains.
Idk if anyone else is in this camp and feels dumb you're not alone. I feel ya.

I mean i know the rock itself can form 100k years ago but the base particles that made that rock are 4b years old isnt it? Sorry for my bad english
