I was scrolling through Twitter when I saw a tweet from Greta Thunburg, when I saw that she had changed the name of her twitter account to Sharon. Does anyone know the reason why she's done this, or is it just a mistake?

Is there a “full name” for Greta? Greta just seems like a nickname to me.

The only one I can think of is Margaret and I’m not a fan. Any others out there?

These directors tend to employ (not uniformly, of course):

• Naturalistic and/or improvised dialogue
• Overlapping dialogue
• A mix of actors and non-actors
• Non-closed sets
• Mistakes and imperfections written into the script and/or naturalistic acting
• Medium-sized budgets

I have been very taken with films from these directors, including Blue Valentine, Lady Bird, Good Time, Uncut Gems, and The Florida Project. I think I would also lump Kennth Lonergan's Manchester By the Sea in with this group.

To me, they represent a portion of Hollywood finally deciding that authenticity is the most important element in making the viewer feel closer to the story.

The first impulse many might feel is to call them mumblecore, yet this would be incorrect. Mumblecore's core (heh) is very low-budget, low-stakes, unfocused plots with limited or no soundtrack.

These movies have bigger budgets, higher stakes, (often) more engaging plots, and great soundtracks. To me, it's as if these directors combine the best of both worlds — they take traditional mid-budget indie filmmaking and merge it seamlessly with the mumblecore aesthetic.

As someone who feels cast aside by overwrought Hollywood dialogue and productions, this crew of directors has been a welcome influx of fresh air.
