A list of puns related to "Great Unknown"
I've been gathering information about a Great-aunt no one in my family seems to know. The little I do know is that she was institutionalized in 1940 for 15 years, during the height of lobotomies, sterilizations, and other harrowing psychiatric care. I would LOVE to get any help or insight into getting more information on her. I haven't been able to get much of her medical history and even had to hire a lawyer to get her death certificate. My Great-aunt never married or had children, her parents and siblings are all dead. Because she was institutionalized, no one in her family talked about her so there is little information that has lasted through generations. I have been working on discovering my purpose in life, I think telling Glenna's story could be a start. I have written twenty posts on my blog so far about my journey. I would love your feedback!
Thanks!
When I say unknown I mean extremely unknown, Iβm a major film buff so I even know of things like Draculaβs Death 1921, HΓ€xan 1922, and even lesser known things than those. Thatβs the level Iβm talking about. Also no exploitation films because thatβs not really the mood Iβm in for right now, Iβm asking for more gothic-esq films. If it has anything to do with the classic monsters (Universal Monsters) then even better.
Since βTerra Incognitaβ had some problematic associations, the theme has been renamed to βThe Great Unknownβ:

(I mentioned this in the stickied thread, but given that single comments on old threads often donβt get seen, I figured I should probably make it a top level post.)
it has all gone FUBAR, as the gue'vesa'la would say, thought Por'El Vior'la J'karra, as she watched a gue'la light walker tumble into a combat trench, the hole that was created by a spear of light started cool into a sickly gery.
A few humans from the local military rushed to the fallen walkers canopy and tried to pry it open, probably to get the pilot out. Cursing their foolish yet honourable bravery she broke cover from her foxhole and fired her pusle rifle at the strange xenos trying to wipe them out, gangly creatures of rustic orange with more arms then were necessary, and penchant of stealing things. Dropping three of them that tried to charge she landed next to the walkers leg and felled another. Another lance of light and one of her crisis suits, lost its arm.
"Rally to me men!" A voice boomed, curilng in on her self she looked back and saw what was, hopefully the last human commissar on this planet.
A staccato of hissing pops sounded from above before a gue'la landed next to her.
"Thanks for the cover!" He yells over the wails of gunfire. "Pull back to the line!" Several more beams perfated a nearby bunker. "Emperor damn it, I'll cover you go!"
"Leaping!" She yelled back and mimicked shooting after running. He nodded and smiled.
"See you back at the line!" He tapped her shoulder plate, she bolted he fired. Blue beams lanced around her, a few knixked her armour, stumbling from another near miss she roll into the fall and spints to a blacked glass pit, in it were the charred remains of two of her firewarriors, grabbing a glassed rock chunk she turns back and tosses it at the walker, sighting her rifle she starts to shoot as the gue'la shifts towards her.
Leaping frogging back the two make it to the trenches.
Private lorhrain, as he is named thanks her again, before they and thebothers around them, fight off another wave.
J'karra finds her self in the ad hoc command bunker, if what she can read from the low and high gothic on it, was a shipping container.
Inside frusted yells for orders could be heard.
"And I am telling you I cannot reach the bloody commissar, he is not picking up his vox." What appears to be a aide yells into a rather crude boxy device.
"He was at the front, if i heard his voice correctly" sheb piped up.
At this the aide looks at her and sighs, "ok then, well how are your forces doing, wretched xeno" the last of his sentence was a harshly uttered whisper, she heard him still in the small confines of the command bunker
