What's the best and cheapest option to get the antigen test to fly back to the U.S? Preferably in Granada?

My husband and I are finally planning our honey moon and we've decided on Nicaragua and Costa Rica. We will be there the first two weeks of June. We prefer slow travel and like to spend our time walking around cities, eating, and visiting museums/historic sights/markets.
So far the plan is to spend the first week split between Liberia and Granada and the second week will be spent in Verdad, Nicaragua. The week in Verdad is going to be at a resort, which we've never done before. So far the Verdad booking is the only thing set in stone.
My questions:
With our preferred activities in mind, would you recommend different cities besides Liberia and Granada? From what I can tell, they seem to be two staples. Since we are going to have a full week on the beach in Verdad, I'm trying to prioritize a slightly busier and more urban setting the first week of our trip.
How walkable are both Liberia and Granada?
In terms of general safety, ease of getting around, and walking around at night time, how difficult is it for both Liberia and Granada? For points of reference, my husband and I have traveled a decent amount in both Europe and Asia. I like to use a mental scale with Delhi on one end and Tokyo on the other.
Does anyone have any advice for traveling from Liberia to Granada? I'm not 100% comfortable renting a car and driving ourselves, so right now I'm looking into buses. If anyone has any specific companies to look into I would very much appreciate it.

We are arriving into Liberia at 2pm. We have a rental car reservation on Nicaragua side but it closes at 5pm. In case don't make it in time to pick up the car, we are thinking of taking a local bus to either SJDS or Granada.
Does anyone know till what time do these buses run? Is it safe after sunset?
