A list of puns related to "Graeme Swann"
Watching Skyβs 2013 Ashes coverage and see Swann bowl, itβs still sort of mental too me that he just upped and quit 6 months later...
I know at the time he got a huge amount of criticism for it, he also changed his reasoning from being injury based when he first announced to a few months later saying he just didnβt feel like he was good enough anymore..
Whether it was the right time for him to go or not, it still now looks horrendous to do it mid series, especially how that series was going, it just feels like he was downing tools and hopping off before the ship sank completely. I also think it makes all his criticism of KP on that tour entirely hypocritical.
KP mightβve been acting a knob but he turned up every day and he stuck it out till the end...and even then he had to be forced out rather than quitting.
It usually is not a big deal to see players throw F bomb on field but I kind of noticed him mutter the proper "FUCK" at which I freaked out. He was ranting and had a lot of passion at the time. I hope he isn't booted off the air for this mistake as he keeps the dugout lively and entertaining. Am I the only one who noticed it or just a mishear?
"... telepathically link myself to the umpire..."
"Umpire, please touch your watch if it's the best day of your life."
βQuick, quick, quick, come out of the kitchen; only one second left of the CEAT tyres strategic timeout.β
It is a famous stumping where prior paused for morkel to leave the crease. It happened in a test match during South Africa's 2012 tour of England. It was available on youtube earlier but is removed now.
My guess is cook because he has had a very bad tour and the press will look for a scapegoat.
(No offence to swann was meant in the naming of this post)
Stumbled across this new cricket show with Graeme Swann.
As a massive fan of Swanny, enjoying it so far!
A great insight into how Ashwin thinks about his bowling. Really liked his explanation on how he goes about developing his subtle variations. Also talks about how he was never really athletically gifted and how he had to work really hard to overcome fitness issues. Graeme Swann contributes equally to the discussion, talking in detail about how he went about bowling in test matches. Wonderful listen! Highly recommended.
