I'm currently thinking of doing my Extended Essay on the songs from the musical Mamma Mia! by ABBA, and I was just wondering if there are anyone out here that recently did their EE on music.
I am personally slightly concerned for myself as it's my music teacher's first year handling EE, and I'm not entirely very well versed with music theory (even though I'm taking it HL–.. the new music syllabus is more flexible than the previous, thankfully).
Personally, I was thinking to do it based on sequencing in two songs (still deciding between Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, and the Winner Takes It All), or based on key characteristics of ABBA through the song Mamma Mia (or some other song from the movie).
Do you guys reckon it's too basic of an idea or if I write well enough, it'd be good?

I would love to hear which topic you did it based on, why you chose that topic, and how your overall experience while writing the Music EE was (or is so far, if you're a 2022 grad)! :)
