Who else remembers the original version of Family Feud (1976-1985)? The original, classic Richard Dawson era. (Real name: Colin Lionel Emm) There was the network version on ABC that premiered on Bill Cosby's 39th birthday; Monday, July 12, 1976, and the nighttime syndicated version that premiered in September of the following year. For a period of time, the ABC daytime version always preceded the soap opera Ryan's Hope that followed at 11:30 A.M. Central time. I also can vaguely or very vaguely remember when the All-Star Family Feud prime time specials on ABC were a big deal. Yesterday, I received as a parcel in the mail the sixth edition of the Family Feud home game by Milton Bradley which I had bought from an Ebay vendor. It was an open-box item, parts never taken apart and played upon, so otherwise a new or like new item. Also own the other seven editions that Milton Bradley put out, a total of eight editions released between 1977 and 1985. The other seven editions I have are all still sealed. In addition, I own two still sealed printings of the 40th Anniversary Edition game from Endless Games, and the cover art on the box is a welcome throwback to the aforementioned original, classic era of Family Feud. To be honest about Dawson kissing the female contestants, I cannot really say that I had a problem with it.
Not a huge surprise at all, just noteworthy for our already flailing offensive unit. Will always love TG, best of luck & go get paid.
