A list of puns related to "Get License"
You need an ID to buy booze, you technically need one to buy razor blades, a weapon and I'm sure that there are other things you need one for that I did not list. Everybody seems ok with needing an id for those things but as soon as you mention a form of ID to vote some people flip out and whenever I bring up one of the above things usually you get silence. If voter ID is racist I should be able to call the cashier at 7-11 a bigot when he asks for my ID to buy beer. The whole argument IMO is dumb.
Or is this a myth?
Edit: thank you everyone for your responses! A little more information on why I asked--I heard this many times growing up, especially in high school (c. early 2000's). I haven't thought of it since, and I just randomly remembered it yesterday before posting here. So, it's not like I believed it all these years, I just didn't give it anymore thought. I know it is an absolutely absurd notion, but as an American I know the U.S. can be a strange place and some whack ass shit goes down here sometimes. So honestly, I would not have been all that surprised if it were true to some extent.
I took a crash course.
If you violate traffic laws on a bike like rolling a stop sign, failing to yield, not using a bike lane when there is one, or holding up traffic you should get points that go against your actual license.
Your workout shouldn't cause a traffic accident.
Disclaimer: this is speculation, there was a couple news articles pointing out that Microsoft might attempt to buy out ea after the Activision buyout.
Madden is the number 1 selling sports game and half their users will no longer be able to play the game because it would only be on Xbox/PC. If this happens, this might be our best shot at getting rid of the exclusive license. Thoughts?
My view: I doubt this happens but Iβm curious what would unfold if it did.
My daughter is a Good kid, good grades, no real issues. She works part time and buys her own stuff. She paid for half of the drivers training and is going to be paying her own insurance.
Issue: She keeps 'forgetting' to crate our old cranky chihuahua. That leads him to poop on the floor anywhere his highness feels the need. He is a touch spoiled but he is also very old and a rescue. He gets away with a lot.
Previous punishments were as simple as a stern talking and she had to clean the carpet where he pooped. This is getting old, as she keeps saying she forgot and then gets cranky when she has to clean the carpet.
My thought is to not take away, but push back her getting her license by a week per pooping incident. I feel like she is just not crating him and willing to deal with the consequences, but the behavior has not stopped.
So, Redditt, would I be the asshole if I told my daughter that every time our royal highness old man dog poops on the carpet because she didn't crate him at night, the date of her drivers license gets pushed back by a week?
About six weeks ago my 21 YO son (driver) and two friends were the victims of a road rage incident. They were on the interstate in the far left lane when another vehicle began making attempts to move into my sons lane while beside him forcing him onto the shoulder at 70 mph. This happened three times total when my son finally lost control and hit the concrete divider spinning out. Unsurprisingly pieces of his car went flying and hit the other car causing a minor scrape. My son and friends were all fine thankfully. Officers at the scene cited my son for failure to control which was a 165 dollar fine and 2 points. Of course the other driver made a claim on our insurance. Now six weeks later based on the police report, my sons and his friends statements, and their own investigation out insurance agency has denied the claim finding my son not at fault. I know he has no chance of getting the money he paid for the ticket back but I donβt know how long points staton your license in Ohio. Is it worth it to pursue getting them dismissed given the circumstances?
okay as a preface, i know the obvious fact that you go to ICBC get your L, wait a year, take a test, get your N, wait a year, take another test, get the full license.
however i don't have any family members or close friends who can teach me. i spent $2k on lessons last year and it totalled up to maybe 14 1.5 hour lessons? the entire time the instructor explained that they're not a replacement for practice on the road.
i've been trying to get my license since i was 16- i'm 20 now and i still don't know anybody who will get in the car with me, regularly, so i can practice. for gods sake i've already bought my car itself.
anyways i was wondering if I was missing a huge piece of info, are there any services/instructors who could assist here? or am i SOL until someone i know personally gets their N and can take me?
Not in a million years going to happen. I can see it now. FES: "why the hell aren't you grabbing carts" Me: "I'm constantly being called to drop stuff" FES: "Thats not important grab carts now!" Person who needs something dropped: "Hay can you drop a pallet for me" Me: "I'm sorry but the FES wants me grabbing carts.", Person who needs something dropped "That can wait I need this dropped NOW". Cashier who needs a loadout : "Hay can you help someone load a fridge into their truck", Me: "Well right now I am on the reach truck" "I can't", cashier getting ticked off "who do i call", me IDK Id do it myself but I am too busy on the reach truck". There are many more that I can come up with. No way in hell am I getting my licenses. Side rant there really needs to be someone in the store whos main job is to drive lift equipment.
Never felt more aligned with the βDonβt Tread On Meβ crowd than I do right now.
Been thinking about it for a long time. Just a matter of weighing what I wanna do I guess. Work for myself. Any input is appreciated, as long as it is structural criticism.
In many of his songs he references walking and smoking, and not having a license.
"walking down the block i ain't whippin the coupe"
" See the day i get my license imma have something for em"
and in a Th@ Kid music video he is sitting passenger side while requesting the speakers to be turnt up and for the windows to be rolled down, presumably so he can enjoy the breeze, possibly so everyone can hear the music
wondering if he drives yet or not, maybe he has a phobia of driving.
Hi all! I graduate with a electrical engineering degree in May and will be eligible to take the exam for my master license in Wisconsin from my understanding. Is there a place for me to get experience once I get licensed, or should I work first and get experience before getting licensed? Iβve wanted to be an electrician since high school so Iβm pretty excited Iβm getting close to being able to!
Edit: the reason Iβm asking is I donβt want to be useless or make mistakes as a supervisor. At this point guys w a journeyman know vastly more than I do. EE doesnβt teach much on the practical or day to day electrician stuff
Iβm 16 going to turn 17 later on and want to get a license. I have a radio that I only listen on to see what other hams talk about but I actually want to get a license to get on the air. Do you need to be 18 or can you be underage?
EDIT: in USA
I realize its illegal to drive without the physical drivers license, but I can't get an appointment at the DMV until Friday. My license is not suspended, I have a picture and the license number which I could give if pulled over. What would be the worst thing that could happen? Just a ticket?
My(21F) fiancee(31m) have been together for 2 years. He never had his license so I do all the driving everywhere. He failed his first exam because of the camera on the car, even though the instructor would have passed him. We had this argument numerous times, but it only got worse when I had to drive us home after I gave birth a year ago. Now I am forced to get up early at 5am to get our daughter(1f) ready and pick him up at 7am. Then make him dinner and lunch before driving him to get to work at 7pm. Our job is an hour and half away and I make that trip for him 3 days a week. As well as driving my self to work the other days. I can't group our days being it's hard to get a set schedule at the hospital and my mom who watch our daughter has a rotating schedule as well. It's slightly easier now since I got a new car with ac since my old one didn't have it. I drove that old car a lot in the heat with our infant and for him it wasn't an issue. But if I wanted us to go down the street as a family it was a no go all of a sudden. Recently, I had to practically beg for him to have a friend drive him because I wanted to spend Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Or I get irritated and upset because on the way home my baby girl cries. She hates being in her car seat for 3 hours or more and it's frustrating that I can't do anything for her. He gets annoyed that I bring it up constantly and says I argue just to start a fight. I got called selfish because he does more than me and now ignores me when I bring it up. I just thought it's important for him to get it especially since I want to go to college for nursing. Which I'll have to depend on him as a stay at home dad for when I go to school and work. I thought I was right, but now I'm unsure.
Edit: I appreciate honest the feedback. Honestly, he knows to drives and is not afraid. He only works to pay a fraction of the bills. I am literally the financial support, maid, chef, chauffeur, and personal assistant all in one. I do everything and I complained about it multiple times just to be told that this 2021 and everything is 50/50. So I just keep it in because I'm lost.
