Hi – I'm trying to figure out how to do my hair like Gena Rowlands (mostly like her hair in Opening Night & A Woman Under the Influence).
I really like how voluminous and bouncy the curls are, but I like that they're not like ringlets. It seems more natural somehow.
I also noticed a KIND OF similar style (but longer and straighter on top) by Sissy Spacek in Badlands.All these films were early to mid 70s, so I don't know if that helps. I really like it and want to try yo recreate it on my own hair. I saw a tutorial that created something similar to the style but with foam curlers. Is this the only way? Is there an easier way to do this style?
For reference, I have hair that's about shoulder length, so a style like Gena Rowlands would probably be better to reference...it's probably a bit shorter than hers, so I may have to wait for it to grow out before I can do something like that.
