Climate: The climate is severely dry nine months of the year, and average annual snowfall is only 46Β cm (18 inches), due to the rain shadow effect. Western passes receive small amounts of fresh snow each year but remain traversable all year round. Low temperatures are prevalent throughout these western regions, where bleak desolation is unrelieved by any vegetation bigger than a low bush, and where the wind sweeps unchecked across vast expanses of arid plain. The Indian monsoon exerts some influence on eastern Tibet. Northern Tibet is subject to high temperatures in the summer and intense cold in the winter.
Himalayas, on the southern rim of the Tibetan plateau
Terrain: The geography of Tibet consists of the high mountains, lakes and rivers lying between Central, East and South Asia. Most of Tibet sits atop a geological structure known as the Tibetan Plateau, which includes the Himalaya and many of the highest mountain peaks in the world. Tibet is often called "the roof of the world," comprising tablelands averaging over 4,950 meters above the sea with peaks at 6,000 to 7,500Β m, including Mount Everest, on the border with Nepal.
Wildlife of Tibet: The forests of Tibet are home to black bears, red pandas, musk deer, barking deer, and squirrels. Monkeys such as rhesus macaques and langurs live in the warmer forest zones. Tibetan antelopes, gazelles, and kiangs gaze on the grasslands of the Tibetan plateau. There are more than 500 bird species in Tibet. Because of the high altitude and harsh climate, there are few insects in Tibet. Snow leopards are hunted for their fur and the eggs of black-necked cranes have been collected as a delicacy food. Tibet also has a large Yak population.

Je Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa (1357-1419), is the crown Scholar of Tibet and Yogi who made the Nalanda Tradition of Buddhism flourish in Tibet. Lama Je Tsongkhapa Day, also known as Ganden Ngamchoe will be celebrated on today, December 29, 2021. Ganden Ngamchoe, literally βGanden Offering of the Twenty-Fifth Day,β or Lama Tsongkhapa Day, is a celebration of the anniversary of Je Rinpocheβs (Tsongkhapa) parinirvana. Je Tsongkhapa was one of Tibetan Buddhismβs greatest scholars and yogis. Lama Tsongkhapaβs brilliantly illuminated essence of Buddhaβs teachings shines through and guides Tibetan Buddhists worldwide to this very day. He is the author of Lamrim Chemo β The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment β and other profound texts. Lama Je Tsongkhapa is also the founder of the Gelug tradition, the same tradition as H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama.
This year marks the 602nd glorious anniversary of Je Tsongkhapaβs Parinirvana. The great Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa, the founder of the Gelug Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, the refiner of distorted Buddhist practice in the Land of Snow was born in the Tsongkha region of eastern Tibet in 1357. Tsongkhapa was the fourth of six children in peasant family.
The story goes back to the time of historic Buddha Shakyamuni. Tsongkhapa, in one of his previous incarnations, was a young boy who offered the Buddha a clear crystal rosary and received a conch shell in return. The Buddha then called his disciple Ananda to him and prophesied that the boy would be born in Land of Snow, he would be the founder of a great monastery, present a crown to the statue of the Buddha in Lhasa and be instrumental in the flourishing of the authentic Dharma. The Buddha gave the young boy the future name βSumati Kirti,β in Tibetan, Losang Drakpa.
All this occurred exactly as the Buddha had prophesied. The conch shell that the Buddha had given the boy was unearthed during the building of Ganden Monastery and, until 1959, could still be seen in Drepung, Monastery in Tibet. The crown still rests on the head of the Buddha in Lhasa. Further prophesied by Guru Padma Sambhava regarding Je Rinpoche (Tsongkhapa) that a fully ordained monk named Losang Drakpa would appear in the east near the land of China. He would be regarded as being an emanation of a Bodhisattva of the greatest renown and would attain Buddhahood.
Tsongkhapa took the lay vows from the fourth Karmapa at the age of three. When he reached

Without further ado, I present the Tibetans.
Affinity: Builder
>The mountainous terrain of the Tibetan highlands make large constructions very difficult, and even in modern times, there are very few densely populated settlements. However, Tibet is dotted with many monasteries and temples built with a distinctive architectural style adapted for the cold, arid climate and boast impressive sizes given the relative scarcity of construction materials. One famous example is the Potala Palace, continually worked on over the course of 45 years and still stands as a reminder of the devotion of its builders.
Legacy Trait: Ganden Phodrang: +3 Influence per State Religion Follower worldwide; +3 Unit Combat Strength on District and all adjacent Districts in Capital
>The Ganden Phodrang is the name of a bedroom in Drepung Monastery and served as the living quarters of the Fifth Dalai Lama, the founder of the Lhasa state. It has since become a way to metonymically refer to the Tibetan state under the rule of the Dalai Lama as a whole. Exerting religious and political influence, Tibet first enjoyed the protection of Mongol khanates and even while under the nominal suzerainty of the Qing were granted a degree of political and cultural autonomy that other minority peoples did not enjoy. Qing bannermen on several occasions were even dispatched to secure Tibetan borders against encroaching foreign elements.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
