A list of puns related to "Game Boy Advance Video"
If you'd like to encode videos with Meteo for the Game Boy Advance Video player:
- I recommend using the VSDC video editor, because it is able to put out a "MS ADPCM" audio stream (you can use any app you like, but it's a must to encode audio in "MS ADPCM")
- Personally I recommend to create a new file/project in VSDC already set to target resolution you want Meteo to put out; max. resolution 240 x 160 (216 x 144, 192 x 128, lowest resolution that makes sense: 168 x 112); you can use any resolution between max. and lowest resolution, but keep aspect ratio
- IMPORTANT: the framerate HAS TO BE SET to 30fps in VSDC, bec if you change FPS in Meteo to 15, 12, 10, 7.5 or 6fps, it'll always take the source fps and divide it (if source fps is e.g. 10fps, and you set fps in Meteo to 10, you end up with a 3.33 fps video!!!
- IMPORTANT: It seems you need to encode the audio stream as PCM, but the size will be too big; therefore I'm using VSCD, you can set audio to "MS ADPCM" (which is an audio format from that time), and mono (stereo makes NO SENSE bec it doubles the size of the audio stream, only if stereo is necessary for some reason [and it's not neccessary if there's a guitar playing for 2 secs on the right channel in a 4 minutes rock song]; "MS ADPCM" will put out an 64kbps, 16,0kHz, 4 bits audio stream (trust me quality is better than you think, the audio files of Max Payne 1 and 2 were encoded in this format); you can also change it to 11,025kHz, it'll save some size if needed (e.g. for longer videos)
- use MPEG4 profile at 100% in VSDC, it'll increase quality of the Meteo encode, you're ready to encode your file FOR Meteo with VSDC
SUMMARIZATION::
- max. resolution: 240 x 160, min. resolution: 168 x 112- FPS HAS TO BE 30fps!- Audio should be encoded as "MS ADPCM", mono, 16,0kHz or 11,025kHz- video format has to be MPEG4, set quality to 100% (recommended)
LET'S GET TO METEO!
With that pre-encoded video you can tinker around with Meteo, to give you a useful number:
I was able to encode a 21 minutes long video, 240 x 160, 16,0kHz, mono, and 14kbyte/s@6fps- the result is "nice" for it being a game boy advance video; anything that goes beyond 21/22 minutes (basically "a simpsons episode", is going to be problematic)
P.S.: Music videos up to 5 minutes are "fine", videos up to max. 15 recommended (AVGN?) are "good", and cartoon/tv shows episodes up to 22 minutes are, uhm, "possible" (cut out that intro!!! :-)

I saw it mentioned on the Wikipedia page for GBA video, and on the GBA Video Fandom Wikia, I saw a page for it there, with front and back box art, and a supposed release date of October 9th, 2007. Thereβs also a page about it on GameFAQs, which had the side box art too, but aside from that, it didnβt help. I canβt find any other info about the cartridge online, and I didnβt see any eBay listings or anything. Also, the front box art does look like one of the versions of Shrek 2βs standalone box art, just reading βShrek & Shrek 2β instead of just βShrek 2.β So, does anyone know whatβs up with this?
(And no, I didnβt see any roms either.)
#On this day (November 25) in Nintendo history...
Donkey Kong Country: Blockbuster World Video Game Championship II was released in 1994 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in North America. In this platformer game, developed by Rare, a few select levels return from Donkey Kong Country with the addition of a point counter and a few minor tweaks to encourage scoring, the goal being to score as many points as possible. The game has a time limit of five minutes, which is displayed at the centre of the screen. After the allotted time, the game freezes.
Killer Instinct Gold was released in 1996 for the Nintendo 64 in North America. In this fighting game, developed by Rare, aside from a few graphical downgrades and the loss of some alternate endings, the gameplay remains faithful to the arcade release Killer Instinct 2. Console exclusive features include Training, Team Battles and Team Elimination Battles. Killer Instinct Gold, along with Cruis'n USA, was one of the first games to be shown running on Nintendo 64 hardware.
Game Boy Wars Advance 1+2 was released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance in Japan. In this strategy compilation of the Game Boy Advance's Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, developed by Intelligent Systems, there are a number of differences between the Japanese and US editions. Many of the character and place names have changed. In the original Advance Wars, the caricature designs for the COs from early Japanese screenshots has been revived, although they have not been carried over to Advance Wars 2.
What are you favourite memories of these games? How do you think they hold up today? Hash it out in the comments.
(I am a bot. I think that I'm posting Nintendo events from this day in history, but if I've made a mistake or omission please leave a comment tagging /u/KetchupTheDuck).
Hi there! I'm here to sell some of my games for cash in an effort to declutter. If you buy at least $30 worth of stuff, I'll ship it for free to the continental US; otherwise, I'll add that cost to your purchase. In the case I have more than one of an item (e.g. my Switch cases), prices are per item.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your time and have a good day!

... keep reading on reddit β‘Probably this has been asked several times, but I still have some doubts. I hope someone can help me to understand.
I'm aware of EZ Flash IV, EZ Flash Omega and EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition, but I don't know which one is better... or are there better alternatives?
Are there issues with saving games and loading save files using anyone of those carts (in particular for PokΓ©mon games) when the battery is dead? I'm so scared about the idea of the battery to die in the future, and to lose all my game progress. Yes, probably the battery takes a long time to die but, seen that I'm not able to replace it, it is a big issue for me. So I really need to understand how it works! This has priority over money.
Where to buy a good flash cart? I'm looking for eBay, but I don't know if those carts have a low internal battery, so I've asked for more details in the previous question. If saving and loading save files is not a problem when the battery is dead, I don't mind.
Is it possible to back up .sav files, in order to restore them later? For example, I would like to extract a .sav file, manipulating and replacing it, so I can launch the game with the new edited .sav file.
Thank you!
Game Boy Advance on the Playstation Classic Video Tutorial
Hey everyone, I have another video tutorial for those interested in playing Game Boy Advance games on the Playstation Classic. It's pretty simple so the tutorial isn't that long. Of the two cores recommended (Mgba and gpsp) make sure you include the bios file if you go the gpsp route. When playing these games on the big screen I personally prefer to use bilinear filtering, imo it cuts down on the pixilated look when playing these on a larger screen. If you have any recommendations on what system you want me to hit next feel free to leave a reply. In the video I cover:
I'm using Autobleem 0.6 beta 2 and Retroboot 0.8 and the process is very simple. I hope this could be useful!
What video game on the Game Boy Advance (GBA) would you like the Nintendo Switch to have?
