Okay, maybe not a princess? I don’t know how it works, sorry for the sensationalism. But her mom IS princess Tatiana von Fürstenberg. Everyone says Sarah is boring and poor but it seems like that mighhhht not be the case?
Sarah is married to Russell steinberg. It’s pretty hard to find anything about him, he’s a comedian? Who cares. The important thing about him is he was married to actual princess and mega millionaire Tatiana von Fürstenberg, daughter of Diane von Fürstenberg and Prince Egon something or other. They have a daughter together, Antonia.
DVF is obviously famous as a designer, but she’s also remarried to billionaire tv exec Barry diller. Barry was openly bisexual it seems and critical of trump. He’s also been with DVF since before Antonia was born. Maybe none of this matters, EXCEPT:
They all seem really close, despite the divorce. Russell’s first IG post on Mother’s Day this year was to Tatiana (before his one to Sarah!) and Antonia constantly posts about how cecelia (Sarah’s daughter) is her favorite person and just got a tattoo of her name. When Antonia posts pictures of her art, she’ll tag DVF and Russell’s mom.
All that’s to say... knowing that they’re so close, Sarah doesn’t seem like a bad move?? If we see Antonia on the show, we’re one degree away from fashion royalty, real royalty, and liberal (ish) billionaires. Do we need another season of classist ramona shitting herself or selling alibaba face cream? Sonjas crumbling mansion? When we could mayyyyybe see Sarah helping Antonia get ready for the MET BALL?! Also, Antonia seems really sweet and down to earth. She’s a typical gen z (??? whatever 20 year olds are) body pos, no makeup, natural hair, art girl and I love to see it. She’s the anti-Avery.
Anyway, thoughts? even though I’m not YEARNING to see 35 year olds living in Brooklyn (I literally am one except I moved to LA recently) but I feel like the potential is at least there for something new and exciting? If we get elyse or whoever else from the UES, they might be interesting personally but we’ve already read that story, you know? I feel like at least with Sarah there’s potential for new stuff, a new story.
Edited to add: we truly deserve better. Living in nyc was great because there’s a mix of 1. old money families with massive brownstones and wings of museums named after them and Picassos in their homes and 2. Younger people who maybe aren’t as rich but their currency is street cred. They can g
