2. The Runways! Brook Lynne Hyttes was a joy to have on our runway, and AKERIA! Maskini was such a COOL theme - I still think about Nina’s and Shuga’s! The bubbles from Scarlett and her horror look! Yvie and the pink jellyfish! There was just so many good ones.

3. The lip syncs!! Of course, Yvie and Brook Lynne, but the iconicness of Nina vs Silky! Also, loved seeing Rajah perform even though it was a lip synch. Scarlett’s scissors!!

4. The hilarity. I’m a silky fan so that’s probably why, but everything was so funny! Britney vs Mariah talk show and how funny that was? HOW FUNNY Good God Girl was (opuleeence). Silky DRAWING HER EYEBROWS WITH A SHARPIE. SOJU being scared of 6 inch heels?

5. Unpopular but yeah, I liked Trump the Rusical. I thought it was cute! I know that there was controversy about Mercedes, but honestly, she didn’t seem too bothered and girl, she was meant to leave at that point.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

One of the questions often asked by fans is ‘when did character xyz appear in the webcomic’? I started to think about who is and isn’t in the webcomic and realised that the list is quite extensive.

As it’s quite long, I’ll start with the discussion. Basically, if a character absolutely doesn’t have to be in the story just that moment, ONE will leave them out of the webcomic. I've wanted to cover Childe for a long time now, but got held up by IRL stuff and of course, the release of Raiden and Kokomi. When leaks confirmed his rerun in 2.2, I was sure that waiting was the correct move. If all goes well, this will have been posted before his banner drops in US servers. I also am working on my writing, I think my last post on Kokomi came off as too condescending or even narcissistic. That wasn't intentional- I was writing the post really defensively. I'm posting to Genshin subreddit. People here are ruthless. But it was still my mistake, so I hope to fix that.

Tl;DR; Childe has many selling points that make him strong; he enables Xiangling, he has quadratic scaling, accessible nuking/frontloaded damage, and his hydro application is very very strong. Reverse-Vape Xiangling comps are very good. He also frees up Xingqiu for the other half of abyss, which matters a lot for f2ps who don't have Hydro units. But, if you don't need to free up Xingqiu, you really shouldn't feel pressured into rolling for him. Childe rotations are hard but rewarding. Polar Star is super okay, and his constellations are weak.

Introduction:
Childe's banner is obviously met with a lot of controversy. I won't deny that other characters are all in desperation for their own reruns. With the announcement of Ittou, it is now guaranteed that either Ganyu or Albedo specifically will have to wait over a year for their own banner to return. This is frustrating for most players. I won't argue against that. But blaming Childe here is wrong too. He is definitely a really powerful unit and it is absolutely worth considering picking him up while the opportunity is on the table. He isn't for everyone, though, so I'll do my best to show his true strengths and weaknesses to help players make an educated and informed choice on whether or not he's right for your account.

Defining Childe's Role in Genshin Impact:
A lot of players have major misconceptions about what it is that Childe wants to accomplish in a team. You've probably heard terms like "enabler" or "driver" thrown around, or are stuck trying to make him a hyper-carry like Diluc or Xiao. I'll be very clear: Childe is, for most team comps, an Enabler. The best way to think about what this means is by comparing it to a traditional carry.

Part 1

For an hour, I thought I was free. Then I heard their voices. They came back for me. After I posted the first account, Mr. Danley and Arilyn ran down the stairs to look for me. I walked towards them, knowing hiding wasn't going to work. I knew I was likely going back to 2071 no matter what.

"There you are," Arilyn said.

"I don't want to get killed," I said.

"You won't be killed. Just please... don't use unauthorized equipment without approval," Mr. Danley said.

"Trust us. We'll keep you safe. You can look at the interesting stuff on the internet while you are there," Arilyn said.

They were trained in this field, so it was possible for them to keep me safe. I thought time travel would be cooler than this though. I went back to get the watch, then I handed it to them.

"Good thing you set the return time forward by one second. Otherwise a couple unstable black holes would've opened up," Arilyn said.

I didn't know that could happen. The idea itself sounded terrifying. Yeah… I shouldn't have just taken the watch. Arilyn set a time. The bright white portal opened up, then it turned into blackness. We each walked into it.

The surroundings changed back to the polished and repainted 2071 surroundings. We were back in 2071. They said I'd be safe. Since they were trained, I trusted them. I didn't hear any creatures clawing at the window or the door, which was relieving, but I knew they could be back at any second.

I followed Arilyn and Mr. Danley upstairs. I looked out the front window for a bit, observing the street to see if there were any Purlaws. It was too dark to see anything outside, however. Luckily, I didn't hear anything outside, which was promising.

Mr. Danley stayed for ten minutes before leaving. I heard his quick footsteps to his car. As his car started, the growling came back. As he drove away, the chilling sounds of all those claws running down the road followed him. They stopped seconds later. They couldn't catch up to a car, which was good to find out.

Arilyn showed me around the house. I'd be lying if I said I didn't recognize the place. It was the house I used to live at, at one point. Now there's a wall TV, a built-in wifi modem, a small heater, and a nice painting of New York City dated to 2055. At this point, I wanted to document everything in my notes, so I began here.

New Zealand was on its second Covid lock down. I was being a bad citizen and had travelled farther than the recommended distance from my place of residence. There was a nice secluded beach that was quite a drive out to, but it had great privacy. I needed to get out of the house. Working from home was driving me mad because I was having difficulty separating my work life from my personal life.

Wake up and roll out of bed. Go on computer and do work for 8 hours. Log off work account and watch videos or play games on the same computer for the rest of the day. Snacking unhealthily. This was my life for the past month and I was getting depressed that news of an extension to lock down was spreading.

So that’s why I was at a beach more than an hours drive away from my home. I had to get away and I did. I knew I would need to be back at it again once the weekend was over but I was trying not to think so negatively for the sake of my mental health.

I walked for a long time. The beach was not a slope to the land but it lay below big mud and rock cliffs. To get down to the beach you need to use a set of stairs built by boy scouts in the 80’s. Its a great view from the top and the isolation is worth it.

Its not a very straight beach either. You need to follow it by walking around the cliffs. There’s a lot of blind corners. So it was when I came around another bend that I saw it.

The biggest beached whale I’d ever seen.

To be fair I had never seen a beached whale before so any beached whale would have broken that record. The actual sheer size of this thing was hardly comprehensible as it lay there in the sand right in front of my eyes. The closer I got to it the more unreal it seemed. It was also strangely shaped. I figured maybe it was two whales lumped together and I possibly had a confusing perspective. I jogged closer to it I was so excited! I had only ever heard about finding these things.

Half of the creature still lay in the ocean. I couldn’t tell if the tide was coming in or out. Its massive tail floated in the wash; black as ink.

It looked more like a giant eel than a whale. I couldn’t tell where the split in the tail was.

When I neared it, stood next to it, kicked sand on it and touch its skin I still was mind-boggled from its existence and size. I’m struggling to find words to explain it.

It’s like when you’re by a building that you’ve lived next to for years and you have just accepted that the sun won’t ever touch your house because of it.

Heard they've been doing some shady business.

Hey everybody. I can't speak for everyone else here, but when I read about the new Unfinity Set I got really excited about the new treatment of Silver border cards. I know that the community is a little split on this, but I will admit that prior to this article, I did have the mentality Mark was worried about: I didn't view these cards as "real" Magic cards. These cards are meant for casuals like me, and I totally never even considered them.

It's interesting. Me and my friend group almost exclusively play commander (pretty much the casual format) when we're together, and yet we follow all the rules and legal ban lists and never once really bothered with agreeing to anything outside the official rulings, lists etc. (and I have the feeling most other casual players operate this way).

Giving new life to these unset cards to casuals like me is very welcome. But that got me and a few others on here thinking, what about all the other cards from the past un-sets? If all cards were to be reprinted tomorrow under the new Acorn stamp system, which ones would be made eternally legal? So that's what I set to find out.

I looked through the 480 cards on Gatherer and found 110 108 cards that should be made legal under the parameters set out by Mark in his article:

The following cards should stay silver-border / be given the Acorn stamp treatment:

• Cards that don't work within the black-border rules
• An element of "cards matter" that black border doesn't reference (flavor text, as an example)
• Cards that require interacting with people outside the game
• Cards that require a physical or vocal component
• Cards that reference a state external to the game (are they able to see something from their seat, for instance)
• Cards with some effects that just don't feel right in black border

For those who sent birthday cards and asked: It was a wonderful birthday. Friends offered meals, entertainment and the BFF took the day off work, which really surprised me, to spend the day with me. He also took me to see TSO, first concert I’ve been to in 3 years. Also saw a movie in the theatre for the first time in 3 years.

I returned to work in November after being on medical leave for 2.5 years. It’s a big deal to me. I’m working part-time but still super grateful.

I think the community has a huge tendency to over-exaggerate characters meta status- every new unit is either the next Ganyu and completely broken, or worse than Qiqi and un-usable. I'm not going to argue that Kokomi is any good, but I think characters deserve a lot more analysis and have a lot more nuance in their kit. So in this post I'm going to give her as fair of a shot as I can and use her in as many team compositions as possible to give her a decent-enough analysis to make a conclusion. This post serves as my Kokomi Review. If you're interested in more detailed analysis, please do further research, I only have so much room in a reddit post and cannot go over everything. Also, this is a theory-crafting post, if you're here as a Kokomi waifu enjoyer (she is quite cute) and love her kit as is, please feel free to ignore my writing- this post really exists to serve meta players and no one else.

Everlasting Moonglow was guaranteed to be a niche weapon- Kokomi has a lot of HP scalings and is obviously incapable of critting, no? So of course her weapon wasn't going to be as generic as something like Thundering Pulse or Mistsplitters Reforged. But I think the real tragedy is that this weapon is questionably not even better on Kokomi at all when compared to other weapon options:
