A list of puns related to "Funny Grand Canyon"
Brand Canyon.
Since I couldn't shower thought this. I mean it lives on that grey line between both.
Especially considering Ulysses specifically mentions Caesar watching Graham fall to the bottom - itβs not like he fell 100 feet and got caught on a tree or anything.
Thatβs a like a half mile fall onto solid rock, whilst on fire.
Planning a one-week trip for the middle of March and we donβt particularly care about Las Vegas but thatβs where weβre flying into/out of so weβre doing a loop β Iβd love to make the most out of our short time to explore. We arrive in the mid-afternoon and Iβm wondering whether it would be better to head straight to Springdale area and begin our Zion journey the next day or stay local for the night and drive up the next day, spending some time at Valley of Fire. Is that worth waiting an extra day to start Zion or should we fast track to Zion to get more time there? It could also be an option to stop by Valley of Fire on our last day since itβs pretty close to Vegas (if weβre up to it).
TLDR: wait extra day to go to Zion to see Valley of Fire or head straight to Zion area from Vegas?
Edit: you all are the best!! thank you for all of the tips and tricks! Iβm even more excited to go now!
Hey everyone, my girlfriend and I are fairly new to camping but we are planning a road trip through the Grand Canyon, Zion, and possibly Bryce Canyon in March. We plan to tent camp but have our car if it gets too cold. It would most likely be a night in Grand Canyon 2 nights in Zion and maybe a night In Bryce if we have time.
But I do have some concerns about the weather and temperatures in March at these parks, does anyone have experience camping in these parks around March/early spring? Weβre currently planning for around 32Β°F or a little below once the sun goes down but around 50Β°F through the day.
What sleeping pads and bags do you prefer? We want something affordable and compact but weβre not too worried about ultralight weight gear. For reference we have a Trekker 2 Tent. I was looking at 30Β°F rated sleeping bags, should I get 20Β° to be safe? We will also be able to have blankets and such considering we will have the car.
Thanks for your help in advance
My wife and I are heading to Vegas from 21 - 24 January.
My flight out of Vegas leaves on Monday 24 Jan at 11pm. My wife and I were thinking of renting a car for the day and driving out to the Grand Canyon. From my research I can see that the drive is about 4 or 5 hours. So I was thinking about leaving around 5 am to arrive around 10 am, staying until about 3pm, before driving back to LAS to drop off the car. I'm guessing I'd be back around 8 or 9 pm, which should be plenty of time to get into the airport and do the security check.
I'm just wondering if maybe there is something I'm not taking into account (traffic, road conditions around this time of year, etc)? To anyone that has done this drive to and back in a day, do my time estimates seem feasibly accurate?
I've always wanted to see the Canyon and figure I might as well do it now being as how I'm going to be closer than ever, but at the same time, it would absolutely suck if I missed my flight.
Appreciate any feedback!
