A list of puns related to "Funny Dill Pickle"
I need a jar of pickles whenever I go out for groceries. Everything is fine though as they aren't that expensive anyway.
I noticed that if thereβs even a tad bit of sandal in a frag, a bunch of people will say it βopens with dill pickesβ. Whatβs up with that? Like what is the science behind it. I personally never experienced it.
The recipe is very simple. Spread peanut butter on bread, and add sliced pickles.
My grandmother used to make this kind of sandwich for my father, who was born in 1930. I'm sure she ate them herself before that, so this recipe must be at least 100 years old.
My own family never made it, but occasionally they made jokes about it. I wondered what they were talking about, so one day I tried it and it was wonderful. The crunchy pickles break up the peanut butter so it doesn't stick to your mouth, and the vinegar flavor compliments the peanut butter, and best of all there is no sugar in the sandwich like you would get with jam or jelly. It's a very satisfying sandwich. I have been eating it, off and on when I think of it, for about 40 years.
Everybody thinks this recipe sounds weird and my husband won't even try one bite of my sandwich. But it's good! Does anybody else eat this?
edit: Wow, thanks for the feedback, apparently it's a lot more popular than I thought!
Iβve seen these online and I love pickles and I love pizza. Are any restaurants serving them around here?
Iβm craving kosher dill pickles but I now live in the UK and the pickles are NOT the same. Theyβre way too sweet. The only ones that are close are the ones you get at McDonaldβs.
So my husband is out at the pub with some friends and before he left I said that if he passed a McDonaldβs that Iβd like him to get me a burger and ask them for a cup of pickles.
So he texted me now and said he canβt wait to come home and give me and the baby a cuddle so I jokey said canβt wait for those pickles but he said might be tricky to get them since they werenβt going to be walking past any places now as they are staying at the same pub. But said that he promised he would get them one day.
Iβm 32 weeks pregnant and I would like to think Iβve been good so far lol I havenβt once asked for him to go out and get me anything and my cravings havenβt been so bad. But GOD do I want pickles. There is a McDonaldβs 0.3 miles away from our flatβ¦I might just walk there myself π
So yes, that's a thing.
There's a cheese house in Ohio that's ridiculously popular here. It's called Grandpa's Cheese Barn! in Ashland Midway between Cleveland and Columbus. And they make a ton of food and cheese. One of those things is this absolutely delicious freaking dill pickle....hot sauce. And it is GOOD. Holy hell am I blown away. Seriously good.
The pickle is the star, practically hits you in the face: "I'm a pickle!" No subtle hints here just tasty with some medium heat. Maybe medium low. But you will feel it on your lips 10 minutes later. This ones a slatherer, more then a dipper or dunker. I'd prefer it a degree hotter as I'm sure some of you would. But it's...that's a good word for it...tasty, so very tasty.
Recommend.
I'll let you all know next time I go down.
That is all
It's like a fat bomb as a bowl of soup.
You'll need:
Beef broth 1L
6 heads broccoli (it's kind of a lot)
2 cups half n half cream
Cheddar cheese half a brick
Baby dill pickles approx. 20 2.5" length
1/2 cup Olive oil
2 packs bacon
1 cup pickle juice
Salt
Pepper
Oregano
4 cups water
Shred pickles and broccoli heads with cheese grater using the hole size you'd use for shredding cheese. Keep the broccoli stems and chop them up finely. Cut up the cheese into half inch cubes.
Cook the bacon obviously, I do 400 for 10 minutes / flip 4 minutes. Almost a crunch, not burnt. Chop it up into 1/4" pieces.
Add 4 cups of water to the pot to boil the broccoli in the beef broth for approx. 18 minutes.
Turn heat off. Add 1.5 cups of cream, 1/4 cup olive oil, 3/4 cup pickle juice.
Mix the remaining 1/2 cup cream, 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/4 cup pickle juice separately and put it in the fridge for tomorrow because there'll be broth loss after it has been in the fridge over night.
Add the bacon and pickle shreds. Let it cool to slightly above room temp, add oregano, a palm of salt and pepper, stir.
Add a handful of cheese cubes into the bowl you're eating from. If you put them in the pot at a high temp they'll melt and disappear.
If you live by yourself you'll probably want to freeze half after it's been in the fridge overnight as it makes 1L+7.5 cups.
Holy hell is it good.
Edit: use full/heavy cream - and I'm not sure if adding olive oil is good or not. I was assuming high fat kept you fuller for longer.

Burger King in Canada is doing a promotional Dill Pickle-flavoured chicken nuggets. I wasn't too keen on trying these despite liking dill pickle chips and nuggets. i didn't think they would pair well, but I was so so wrong. If you enjoy dill pickle flavours, then you'll enjoy these!
