Buff cards, nerf cards, remove cards, etc. Itβs all up to you.
Gears
Gears are a concept that I have been thinking a lot about recently. I believe this is a great way of doing 3 things:
- Bring new "cards" without impacting general progression
- Decentralizing some cards off of specific archetypes or win conditions
- Bring back the excitement of getting a new rare card without making it impossible to level up
What are Gears
Gears are a new type of magic item, that would allow you to get a new version of an existing card. This new version wouldn't be stronger than the normal card, but instead have different stats and elixir costs to change the way the card is played.
How would Gears work
You can obtain gears by opening chests, in challenges, or even in the shop. Once you obtain the number of gears necessary (this number could be 1, 10 or even 100), you're able to gear up one card. This process could be instantaneous, or maybe take some time, like in Clash of Clans. This card has the same level as the non geared up version, and you can choose between the geared up version and the normal version at any time. Supercell could try to release one new "gear up card" every one or two months, as they're basically an existing card with some differences that would take less time to make than a new card from scratch.

Multi Inferno Tower

The Multi Inferno is the geared up version of the Inferno Tower. It is able to target 5 different targets, but the damage progression (How long does it take to the tower to deal more damage) would be twice as slower as the regular tower. Maybe a higher hp and immunity to stun would be something to consider as well. The idea here is to make it a low risk low reward tower, that can deal with the support troops as well. I believe it should cost 5 elixir, just like the inferno.
Defensive Xbow

The Defensive Xbow is the geared up version of the Xbow. It has a smaller range (not able to hit the princess towers), but with a higher lifetime and the ability to target air troops. Its purpose is to not be a win condition, but more of a defensive tower that would (unfortunately) pair well with very defensive archetypes. I believe 5 or 6 eixir cost would be ideal for this xbow.
