Drats! Foiled again!
You know he always got-ham.
"It's the bread and butter of pranks!"
Sauron-wrap
I was hungry. So I Czeched the fridge. ๐จ๐ฟ Nothing was there, so I was Russian over to the nearest restaurant. ๐ท๐บ I grabbed some Turkey, but it was layered in Greece. I Haiti ting food that isnโt Swedened. ๐น๐ณ๐ฌ๐ท๐ธ๐ช I felt like I could Italy food in my house. ๐ฎ๐น
So recently there's some news of a student taking food from the community fridge that doesn't belong to them. I'm in charge of making a parody of Iggy's Azeala's song "Fancy". I want to make a joke that uses both things.
The best I can come up with is What does your food in the community fridge and the parody video have in common? It's gonna be as cool as if you found your food in the fridge.
I'm sure there's something better.
He was showing me his food. He grabbed a slab of meat from the fridge and dropped it down on the counter in front of me. "This meat is from the best cows in town," he said.
I said, "It's a nice offer, but tell them they haven't cooked it properly."
First off, I'm new here. I've only been a dad for a few years but, I'm not sure i'll ever be able to top this and the circumstances of the set up were so chance and specific, I will never be able to use this again. This is what inspired me to seek you out and tell my story.
So, like most thanksgivings, we went to a relatives house and had very large but unusually early dinner. We went home and by nine or ten o'clock we had the little one off to sleep and my wife and I were getting hungry and wanted something simple. She asked for fast food and I was willing to oblige.
I drove to Taco Bell and it was closed. I called my wife, "sorry Taco Bell is closed. What do you want from BK?". I then drove to BK and discovered it was also closed. Called the wife "Sorry honey, BK is closed. What do you want from McDonald's?". You might see were this is going and, if you haven't already guessed it, Micky D's was closed too."Ok, I'm just going to the gas station. What do you want?" She asked for cheddar fries and I was willing to oblige. Got in side, no cheddar fries! I grab her funyuns. She like funyuns, it will be fine. As a joke (not the one we are leading up to) I called her on my way home and told her the gas station was closed too.
I got home, told her the truth about the gas station and gave her the back up back up back up back up back up plan bag of funyuns. She joked around about the number of times I had failed her in one outing (keep in mind, I had been giving her a hard time through this whole event) and then asked me for a soda from the fridge. So is This when the magic happened. I was opening the fridge when the gravity of the situation and what was at stake here suddenly struck me. I closed the fridge, got out a glass and filled it with water. I brought it back to her in the living room. She says "why did you bring me water?"
THE FRIDGE WAS CLOSED!
My dad likes to toss things in the house. Ask him for a soda? Catch! Need mayo on your sandwich? Heads up! You get the idea.
Last night the family was in a rush to get dinner on the table, so needless to say food was flying. My younger brother was at the table catching things and putting them on the table while my dad stood at the fridge throwin' shit. I guess my dad threw the barbecue sauce to early because my brother wasn't ready and it made impact right in the family jewels.
Brother (on the floor): Dad, you got me right in the balls!
Dad: Oh I did?
Bro is now doing that thing where you're in pain and you're talking while gritting your teeth/ holding your breath.
Brother: Yes! The barbecue sauce. Right on the dick.
Dad: Well which was it, did I hit your balls or your dick?
Brother: Same difference!!
Dad: No no no, there's a vas deferens between the two.
Me: God damnit dad, that's perfect. I'm using that.
So here I am, using it.
I was building a new deck at the back of my house for a grill. Then I decided that it needed a counter for food prep, holding beers, etc. Well now that I have a counter, wouldn't it be great to have an outdoor fridge? Yes, yes it would. Needless to say, the size of the deck got a little out of control.
My wife sees the framing going up and says, "What do you need all this space for?"
I say, "Grilling meat and relaxation."
She responds, "Are you planning to do yoga while you grill?"
I say, "Yes. Downward Hot Dog."
She quips, "Careful, you wouldn't want to burn your little Warrior."
I was cleaning out the fridge at work and noticed some of the tuper ware had dates on them. Me "hey you, thanks for dating your food" Them "ayy no problem" Me "when are you guys getting married??"
Every time we had dinner and someone said the food was hot, my dad used to say "I should have cooked it in the fridge!"
I remember once we were all around the table, and someone mentioned that joke, and my grandfather remarked that it was a good joke. Weird.
