I love that Swedish (and Nordic overall) names are becoming popular. Really, I do. But I am getting really tired of seeing Astrid or Freja/Freya be the go-to name any time someone asks for something Nordic, or specifically Swedish sounding.

Hi all,

I'm a non deity worshipping practitioner but two nights ago I had dreamt of the name Freya. Now I don't know much about deities as I am fairly new to my witchcraft practise and so I've never felt the urge or need to worship a deity in my journey as of yet but I was wondering why I suddenly out of nowhere dreamt of the name Freya!?

I am vaguely familiar with her name as I know she is a norse goddess but I know little else apart from that.

Could this mean something?

I'm quite new to my practise. And I haven't felt the need to worship deities as of yet. That's not to say that I'm not interested to as I'm rather eclectic atm and am learning through a varieties of resources.

However, two nights ago I had a dream of the name Freya. No image, no face just the name. That night during my meditation three images came to me.

I am aware that Freyja is a norse goddess and was wondering perhaps whether she is trying to reach me? Are the images I've seen related to her? Could anyone help me with this?

I’m having a baby girl in two weeks! Our daughter is Nina Harriett and the last name is two syllables. We decided on Freya a while back, but can’t decide on a middle name. We want to do a three syllable middle name to balance out the first and last names. My husband likes old fashioned names like Rosalind, Lavinia, and Marigold. My first choices are Violet, Olivia, and Renee (only two syllables but I still like it). I really like how Nina Harriet and Freya Violet kind of go together. What other middle names go with Freya, bonus if they are three syllables. Thank you, nerds!
