A list of puns related to "Frank Rijkaard"
This season is so much like Rijkaard's first season. It was Laporta's first season. Rijkaard had a worse start than Koeman's, we were 9th at new year's and 12th was our lowest point after matchday 18. We then picked up a win streak in the league from there, for Rijkaard it was the arrival of Davids, for Koeman it was changing the formation, but it was too late, lost the league by 5 points. Still lost the domestic cup and the Europe though, for Koeman it was Supercopa and Paris, for Rijkaard it was during quater-finals of CDR in late January, and UEFA Cup, equivalent of Europa League, in March. And people were calling for Rijkaard's head much more than Koeman right now. Rijkaard benefited from not having a direct replacement and Cruyff backing him up, whereas it sucks for Koeman in this regard that Xavi and Pimienta are two options ready to go, and Cruyff, who no doubt would have backed him up, unfortunately is not alive. Suppose Pep retired ~3 years earlier and is an option just like Xavi and Pimienta is, and you (Laporta) are free of any pressure from past club legends like Cruyff to make the decision, would you sack Rijkaard and bring in Pep, or anyone you think is equivalent of Xavi/Pimienta back then.
Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone has tried Frank Rijkaard's 88 rated CB card in game?
I've around 400K coins and fancy investing in a decent CB. Is he worth the coins?
He never played for them but managed them for some time.

Lost in 3 finals yesterday. Panic bought Rijkaard. Was triggered and lost next 3 DKT in first round. Thought that I finished all my attempts and had even posted here asking if I should sell Rijkaard. Out of the 2 comments, 1 comment asked me to try and mix up my 2 teams( I had put my team pics). I managed to do that and then won 4 games in the row in divisions (division 4). Then by chance I found out that I had 1 attempt remaining in DKT. Tried my luck there and won it conceding only one goal in those 4 games. Rijkaard was amazing at CDM. Thanks Trypanosome21 for the suggestion. It helped me win my very first DKT
Edit : This was the team I won it with https://ibb.co/gbgqWc
I need a cdm , petit and rijkaard have similar stats . Which you recommend me ?
Does anybody know why this guy has gone up so much? He was 300k this morning and now he is 350k?
Hey guys, having read a few negative opinions regarding Rijkaard, thought I'd offer my two cents and try to balance the books.
Played 12 games with him now, including a full division 1 run. Usually about Gold 1/Elite 3 in Champs to give you a rough idea of my skill level. For me, he's incredible. Use him at CDM in 41212 with Petit at LCM, and if I take the lead, go 4231 with him and Petit at CDMs to control the game. Only lost once in winning division 1, and he was a game changer in that.
His positioning is exceptional, and so is his tackling. Very quick as well, also worth noting I had a shadow card on him. Shooting was decent, can't say too much as only had one chance with him to score which he did, and his heading is also very solid. Originally had Kante in this position, but Rijkaard is 2x the player, his size and power just make him exceptional. A slight downside is his dribbling, however I don't tend to go for mazy runs with my CDM, so don't feel it's too detrimental, and he can still dribble perfectly well, just won't pull off any swerving runs. A bit clunky, but not hugely noticeable at all for me
In all, I'll be looking to complete the SBC tomorrow with all the packs dropping, and hope to have swayed the general perspective so far. TRY THE LOAN THOUGH, but hopefully even if you were on the fence regarding the loan, I've got you to go ahead with it.
Tl;dr: A few negative opinions on this sub of him so far, but he's exceptional for me, and was the key player in winning div 1 title. Great tackling, positioning, strength and passing, and will be getting his permanent card for sure.
Thanks for reading.

I'm a quite new football fan... We all know that Frank Rijkaard was brilliant at Ajax and for Holland as a player. He seemed to have a very promising career as a manager for Barcelona with winning the Champions League. What happened to him since? Why isn't he considered for the top English jobs, for example?
What do you do for a living?
I live a quiet life in Amsterdam with my family. I don't work in football, I have other businesses.
What memories do you have of your time as Barça boss?
I'm really proud. I had some very happy times there. There were some sad times too, but I always try to paint Barça in the best way I can.
You started something there that still endures. Is that how you see it?
We arrived at a club that had not won anything for several years. The first half of that season was tough, but then everything began to click. It was thanks to the players, especially Ronaldinho. He helped found that new-look Barça.
What do you think when you look at the career of that little Argentine to whom you once gave his first start?
Messi is just phenomenal. I'm pleased to see what he's achieved in football. However, it wasn't just Messi; it was the Iniestas, Xavis and ValdΓ©s's too. All those players arrived on the scene at the same time and went on to write their names in footballing history.
What was the secret to Barça's success?
The club has always been successful with its foreign imports, but the day arrived when the club's academy players came of age, had the experience and valour to take over. Thanks to that the club enjoyed a golden era of success.
Let's talk about the club's current crop of players. You coached Arda at Galatasaray.
A huge talent, a massive heart and a great footballer. He's already shown as much at Atlético. He's hard-working and technically strong. Arda Turan can bring something special to this Barça.
What do you think of the current Barça side?
It's too early to say. Messi is out injured and the team now have to keep going without him. We'll see how they do. Aside from him, Barcelona have enough talent to achieve their goals.

Who was/is the greater player?
He was 2 years coach of Netherlands, and then got Sparta Rotterdam relegated for the first time in their history. What did Barca see in him?
