A list of puns related to "Fossil Wrist Pda"
I am just wondering if everyone else's wrist-mounted radar is a little blurry? Everything else is crystal clear but when I try and look at my wrist it is a little blurry. I am thinking I may need to adjust my eye to eye distance but before I went through that I thought I would ask.
What would be a good smart watch that doesn't contain nickel ,that has a good battery life and customization that also does fitness .
Just wanted to share a quick anecdote in hopes that others having the same issue may have a solution..
TLDR: The Fossil 5e doesn't work if you have tattoos on your wrist. My girlfriend's tattoo blocks the 5e's proximity and HR sensor abilities.
I bought my girlfriend a Fossil 5e a few months back. I have the Gen 5. She loves it but has constantly had issues with G-Pay, HR monitor, and automatic lock/unlock since we got it. G-Pay would always just say 'check your phone' during checkout, but nothing would pop up on her phone. Her HR monitor would work but was really inconsistent. And we have it set where it's supposed to stay unlocked as long as it's on your wrist, but the moment the display goes to ambient mode it would always lock itself.
I went through all the settings over and over to make sure everything was correct. Did factory resets a bunch of times. I thought maybe since it's new it just needed an update. Update finally came and we still had the same issues.
It eventually occurred to me that these problems were all proximity sensor/HR sensor related. I figured it was just a bunk proximity sensor/HR sensor issue and was about to return it and just get her a Gen 5. But then I decided to wear it for a day to try to figure it out. Sure enough, the whole day it worked perfectly!
That's when I realized that the only difference between my wrist and hers was that she has a pretty large arm tattoo that goes down to her wrist. I flipped her watchband around so she could wear it on her right hand that doesn't have a tattoo (which sucks, but whatever) and BAM! Everything works perfectly now.
I did a bit of searching and apparently, this used to be a common issue with early smartwatches but with newer models I haven't heard it mentioned much. It's really weird, it's not like she has a solid black blob or anything where the watch sits. It's a normal tattoo. There are definitely people that have darker skin than her tattoo, so I don't think it's just about the color or darkness.
Maybe something with the ink? I'm amazed that a tattoo completely blocks the watch's HR and proximity abilities...
Hi,
I have a Fossil Gen 4 Q Venture that just stopped working all together and the back popped off just randomly. I had a look inside since the back was off and its out of warranty anyway and nothing looks damaged yet the screen wont light up, even though the button presses give vibration. With absolutely no way to reset the watch, I am frustrated and annoyed at this brick.
I am ready to spend $5-600 on a new one, but not Fossil. They seem to have ongoing issues with the backs of their watches. I love the designs. There's just not enough out there for feminine wrists and sadly the watch I want looks like a PipBoy on small wrists, as someone commented on a different thread :P
Ticwatch Pro 3 is what I want, but it would look terrible on me. I am a small woman, standing at only 160cm and tiny hands. I literally wear kids clothes sometimes!
I looked at the tic 2 plus, but it doesnt have a speaker! The Fossil Gen 4 Juliana looks perfect, but I am scared of the Fossil brand now. Even the Diesel watches are owned by them too :(
Any suggestions?
TLDR; looking for wearOS enabled, speaker, small wrist, preferably feminine design but will settle for anything that doesnt look like an entire tablet strapped to my arm.
Hi,
for a certain time now my fossil gen 5 activates it's display when turning the wrist, though I have deactivated this function.. It happened suddenly, because it was fine since the beginning
anyone know what that could be?
I have my Fossil set to lock when I take it off my wrist, and this works, and I like it this way
However, something changed recently (I don't think I've had a software update) and now every day or so it will start locking even without me taking it off my wrist
Rebooting the watch fixes it, so it makes me think that the process that controls the wrist/pulse sensor crashes or something after sufficient uptime

I love the look of the Fossil Gen 5 so I finally got it when the prices were low last week. When I put it on, even the last hole in the band was just a tad bit loose on my wrist. Is there any 22mm silicone bands that you guys recommend that will fit smaller wrists?
EDIT: Bought the Barton band and one silicone one from Ali Express.. will update when they arrive
Listen, I love the PDAs in S.t.a.l.k.e.r as much as the next guy. But out of curiosity. Why are stalkers sill using PDAs? I mean its real technology and I understand that some would but the games are set in the early 2010s. Shouldn't some stalkers coming into the zone have cell phones or something? I donβt what the phone market in Eastern Europe was like back then but I could see a random stalker wiping out an iPhone 4 or something. What do you guys think?
Yeah, realistically, everyone would have some sort of modern, sturdy cell phone. But the localized transmissions and "community" with the PDAs is cool. It just feels like stalker, you know?
Hello! I am currently trying to find a 3rd year anniversary gift for my partner and I wanted to buy him a skeleton watch to replace one of his that has bad memories attached to it (which makes him not want to wear it). Unfortunately I don't have a lot of money to spend on it and as much as I would love to buy something in the $300+ range, I have to stick to something under $150. I found the Forrester Automatic ( Sku: ME3180) and find that it is quite nice and different from a lot of the watches he has and would be a nice addition... HOWEVER, Fossil is known to have quite bulky and big case sizesand my partner has a wrist that is 6.5" and would need something not as bulky. I bought him a diver watch (FB-01 Three-Hand Date Stainless Steel Watch; Sku: FS5652) from Fossil for this past christmas and it was super bulky and as big as he can go and I want to avoid getting him another bulky one or something bulkier. I originally wanted to get the Forrester with the leather strap because it looked less bulky but it is now out of stock lol.
SO anyways, I want to hear insight from others that might have it or similar watches and how bulky they are? Does anyone know of any dupes that aren't too expensive as well? I just really want to get him a skeleton watch as I want him to be able to wear one without bad memories (he got it from someone who was toxic and he has bad memories from them and it kind of tainted his experience wearing it). I think 43mm is the max he can wear (he has a Samurai Seiko that is beautiful because it isn't as bulky but is I think 42.5-43mm).
Long story short, my girl and I got caught PDAing in our car two nights ago in some street. Two police guys showed up on their bikes, we were only there like 10 minutes and someone complained. It was a pretty dark alley but I guess we got caught.
Anyhow, the dude took my info and I was stupid enough to give him my real address, I didnβt have my ID on me so I couldnβt give him my ID number. I kinda panicked but the guy calmed me down and after writing everything in a notebook, heβs like I can let you off for 1 lac. Obviously I didnβt have that kind of money, he told me to go to ATM but I didnβt have my ATM card and my parents can track my account anyway.
Him and the three other guys settled for 22,000 which is all what I had and they kept saying weβll set you go for the rest of yourself and your family.
Iβm just worried I gave my real address and if they might show up. If anyone from my family finds out this happened Iβd be dead by now. Iβve been worrying they might show up out of nowhere.
For those that are unaware thereβs a profile of autism called pathological demand avoidance. If there is a demand or expectation put upon me it then becomes a completely impossible task. Itβs a mental block and I physically cannot complete what needs to be completed. Looking online I found that thereβs no real treatment or solution for this problem and itβs completely ruined my life. Going into work is a demand and one I struggle with the most, Iβve had 5 jobs this year ending up quitting all of them since it was something I had to do and my brain wonβt allow me to do it. I freeze up and get upset, it causes meltdowns that itβs something I have to do. I started an access course to try to get qualifications to go to university but going in is so difficult because itβs a demand. I canβt make any deadlines for my essays because my body wonβt let me complete them. I canβt even reach out to my tutors and let them know this is going on because it triggers my PDA. Iβve had this issue my entire life and now Iβm an adult and donβt have people looking after me anymore Iβm so completely stuck. Iβm going to end up losing my current job because I canβt go in and I donβt know what to tell them. Sometimes I canβt even shower or brush my teeth because itβs something I have to do. Whatβs worse is thereβs no treatment, I looked at least for a support group and theyβre all for parents instead of for people it actually effects. Iβm never going to recover from this, I hate living like this. Iβm going to ruin everything like I always do because my brain wonβt let me just be normal and get on with life. As you can imagine this comes with some very dark thoughts when I feel so disabled by my PDA. A sick part of me wishes I had a chronic illness so I would have a real excuse for why I canβt do the things I need to do, then people would have the smallest amount of empathy for what I go through every day.
