1 am and I need to get up in 4 hours yet my stupid body and my stupid mind won't let go of the understandable and deserved tongue lashing I received today from a person who had every right to ghost me and not explain why. Years of trying to get an explanation from this person and I guess one needs to err on the side of extreme caution when you get what you wish for, rarely does it ever turn out pleasantly.

Going to be a fun day.

If you're not aware, r/Games has decided that today, they'll be closing the sub for April Fool's day because of a growing trend of every phobia under the sun in the gaming community, and they want to show that's not how loyal consumers gamers should be.

Are you serious? How do you turn a day of the year about messing around with your friends into your own virtue signalling circle jerk about how "woke" you are? While the rest of the site is doing funny stuff that makes it worth looking if something has changed on a sub you're active on for the day, these people have found a way to not only not do that, but to do something that's somehow even dumber.

The establishment went nuclear over the weekend. The Democrat establishment, the corporate media and the wealthy elites declared war on Bernie and threw everything they had at him to stop him on Super Tuesday. We were certainly overpowered. It was an impressive show of force. They control the media and have the power. They laid ambush and we had little time to respond. Their effort was overwhelming. BUT...they failed to do anything to blunt our momentum. Bernie got basically the same number of delegates he was projected to get on March 2, 2020 before they went crazy trying to stop him. In fact he got +10 delegates to what he was projected to get before they pushed the nuclear button on us.

Here's the likely allocation of the delegate distribution. Numbers are from the GreenPapers They are nonpartisan and do math. The projected numbers are from 538 on 3/2/20. They prognosticate based on polls and modeling. I wrote the projected numbers down on 3/2/20 they changed significantly after the establishment went nuclear.

1,512 delgates - 41.9% of the delegates have been decided. - Bernie has 625 - 41% of them. Biden has 698 - 46% of them.

There are 3,979 pledged delegates - 1,991 are needed to win on the first ballot.

Bernie needs 55% of the remaining delegates to reach 1991. Biden needs 52% of the remaining delegates to get to 1991.

As you can see the establishment plan did not work to take out Bernie. It boosted Biden, there's no doubt about it. But Biden is a terrible candidate. He has an awful record. He is unfit and can't think clearly or speak in complete sentences.

Now that it's between Bernie and Biden we know what to do to beat him.

So for those who don't know, I've been behind a fair bit of the modding in this community via running the modding Discord and helping out other modders behind the scenes, being involved in balance or coding advice for a number of mods, though I also have a fair few mods of my own - recently, I released the Rogue Knight and have been working on the Maenad and Moonlit Dungeon, and I currently have several other side projects in progress, like the Silent class mod.

I also had the wonderful opportunity to assist Red Hook with the CoM Balance Update - I wrote this changelog and, alongside Marvin Seo, made a number of suggestions that found their way into that update, as well as some things that made it into later updates, such as When Hit effects, Quirk Tag enemy mashes (prominently used in the Falconer mod by Marvin Seo), and the update that fixed the modding limit (thanks again Red Hook!).

I also had something of a crisis situation recently (details here) but things are looking up and I've been continuing to mod and get through school and my jobs in spite of it. I'd like to thank everyone who helped out, as it's made a huge difference in my ability to keep working on mods and also not end up homeless.

I believe Covid is The Storm. Do you have your popcorn ready?

Now to be clear i don't have all the answers and a lot of this is not based on facts, but let's throw some ideas around. Obviously the "corona" virus is real and people do get sick. This happens all the time and will continue to. But I believe Covid-19 is a hoax by the White Hats.

They have been diagnosing people in senior homes with Covid in Canada, without a test, that have never left the house. I know someone could bring it in but this is ridiculous. I think this is it, it all makes sense to me.

In Iran Covid has killed many leaders and in Italy, the quarantine has allowed the police to arrest Mafia members they wouldn't normally be able to.

Remember White Squalls were supposed to be a phenomenon of the imagination. but ended up being real.

Think mirror. In this case the virus is a hoax but The Storm is real.

So how would this happen? China would have to be onboard. Trump and Xi would have to make a deal that nobody knows about. Seems like the Chinese are starting to get better now and the virus has stopped spreading. The virus is going away and China is fine. But we'll talk about that again later.

Many years ago (more than 15), I worked as a programmer for an Oil and Gas automation company. This means we would design and build the computer systems for oil and gas plants, commission them, and support the operators during day to day operations. Because of this, my company ran a 24/7 support phone. Every week a member of my team would get the phone and be expected to be available to answer calls 24/7. We had enough people on the team that it would roughly equate to getting the phone twice a year. Most of the employees of this company were salaried, and the 24/7 phone was written into their contract. For every phone call they took, they could charge a minimum of 1 hour in banked time. This was a good deal for them, and made the 24/7 phone easier to handle.

 

I was a little different than my coworkers in that I wasn’t a salaried employee - I was an hourly contractor. My coworkers would bank their time but I was just paid out biweekly. My contract also stated that if I was being paid by the company, I had to be available exclusively to the company. This was added by their HR department because a few years before they caught an hourly contractor running side jobs for other businesses at his desk. This also meant that if they wanted me to be available exclusively to the company, they had to pay for my time.

 

For two years I knew the 24/7 phone existed but had never had to take it because according to my contract, if they wanted me to be available they had to pay my hourly rate after normal work hours to ensure that I was available to answer the phone when it rang.

 

Then, as in most corporate stories, my completely awesome manager left for greener pastures and was replaced with an absolute tool. After a month of being in the office, he decided it wasn’t fair that everyone took turns on the phone except for me. He declared that I would be put in the rotation effective immediately.

 

I didn’t want to cost the company a ton of money, so I tried to explain that if I’m on the 24/7 phone that means they have to pay me 24 hours a day for 7 days. He scoffed and told me I obviously didn’t understand how business worked. I told him he didn’t understand how my contract was laid out and that I’m an hourly contractor, not a salaried employee. He insisted that to be a team player I had better take the phone or look elsewhere for employment.
