A list of puns related to "Florida State Seminoles Football"
1979 was only the second time FSU finished ranked in the AP Poll (they finished 14th in 1977) and arguably the season FSU first broke into the national conscience in earnest. FSU would finish 5th next season and would be no stranger to the AP Poll from that season forward.
Here's a really great Season Summary
Some games to remember from the season include:
September 15, 1979 at Tampa Stadium, Tampa, Florida
vs Arizona State W31-3
Notes:
September 22, 1979 at Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, Florida
vs Miami W40-23
Notes:
The defense again was vital, allowing only 234 total yards (101 rushing, 133 passing).
FSU forced five more turnovers (4 INTs and 1 fumble).
Monk Bonasorte added two more INTs to the two he had against Arizona State.

LSU struggles passing going 10-26 with 175 yards and 2 INTs (Both by Bonasorte)
FSU throws for 312 yards 3 TDs and 2 INTs.
The two teams combine to go 1 for 4 on field goals.

Corpse Reviver #2
I chose this for FSU because the program used to be a perennial contender, and now they are looking a little more like a corpse that could use some reviving. Maybe Willie Taggart can revive this corpse for a 2nd time after the Bowden era.

Preparation:
Pour a little bit of the Pernod into a coupe, roll it around until it coats the walls of the glass. When done dump or preferably drink.
Combine all ingredients into a shaker with some ice cubes, shake for about 8 seconds and double strain (hawthorne strainer + fine mesh strainer) into a coupe and serve up. Garnish with lemon peel.
Taste:
Tart, clean and very lightly sweetened. The Pernod wash adds a little bit of depth as well.
History:
This is historic, class drink from 1930s recipe book, The Savoy Cocktail Book, (which is a beautiful book/great coffee table book if you're interested), published by Harry Craddock. Craddock is one of the godfathers of cocktails mostly because he was one of the first people to methodically document and collect recipes. The original Savoy Cocktail Book included 750 cocktail recipes.
