A list of puns related to "Five Day Locker Piece"
You can read it here :-)
A guy was selling a sideboard online. I contacted him about it and said I was interested. He told me that one of the legs was broken and would have to be reattached. I have fixed many pieces of furniture in the past and I told him that was no problem, I would be able to fix it. He acted very worried and asked me if I was sure, saying that the furniture could not be used without a leg and did I know that? I said again that it was fine, and I would fix it.
We agreed that he would drive with his truck to my house (maybe a forty five minute trip) and drop it off. My brother would be there to to help unload and carry it.
When it arrived, he turned to my brother and told him that heβd fixed the leg for us. I went to go look at his fix. What heβd done is glued it back on, smearing a thick layer of gorilla glue all over the side of the cabinet and the leg, and drilled several huge and obvious silver screws into it, splitting the wood into several places. Heβd turned a simple fix (which I have done before) into a total mess.
I told him that I wouldnβt be buying it, because heβd messed it up and I didnβt want to put effort into fixing this mess. He turned to my brother again and said, in an offended tone, that heβd fixed it, that heβd saved my brother (not me, my brother) a large amount of work. My brother said βtalk to her, I donβt know anything about it.β The guy got very mad when I again insisted I didnβt want it, and said that heβd driven forty five minutes so we should just suck it up and buy it. Eventually he left, though. He posted to the group heβd posted the furniture onto, ranting about buyers who waste his time.
My brother thinks I made the whole thing into way bigger of a deal than it needed to be. My parents agree and think, with the time heβd invested, I should have bought it.
AITA?
Hey r/onguardforthee. Over the long weekend I published a blog entry about joining Hugs Over Masks Facebook Group, covering some pretty far out conspiracy theories: https://www.reddit.com/r/CanadaPolitics/comments/inta9y/i_joined_canadas_largest_antimask_group_and_its_a/.
The post spread really quickly in a day, thanks in large part to a few Canadian subreddits (especially r/canadapolitics, where a copy of this post was removed for not being substantial). On Monday I shared it on my personal Facebook page and it got their attention. The leader of Hugs Over Masks posted both in the Facebook Group and publicly to his followers calling on them to swarm my personal Facebook page.: https://imgur.com/h66QLrK
By yesterday, I had more than 250 comments on my Facebook page from angry Hugs Over Masks members. Here are some of the first few: https://imgur.com/GqO2Ett, https://imgur.com/9qUfKZp
Some of them were pretty much what you'd expect, some were more hateful. One shown picked up on my last name being Jewish and made an antisemitic comment. A great deal of them just went to detailing graphic sex acts involving gags or Justin Trudeau's dick, thinking that the most insulting thing they could say to a stranger is that they're gay and have kinks. Dozens accused me of working for the "New World Order" or "MSM" and getting paid large sums of money to write my blog. I've never really gotten personalized hate mail for anything before so this was very new to me.
Using fake profiles still in the HOM group, I could see that I wasn't doxxed. No death threats or legitimate threats of violence were made. It was still stressful as I had to warn my family to take some precautions regarding our social media activities. It could have been much worse and I learned a lesson in making my posts more private. This post is still public because I figure it's out of the bag anyways.
Then, yesterday morning I found out that Fresh Daily (freshdaily.ca), a Canadian Buzzfeed type of news site, liked my article a lot. They actually liked it so much that they posted a watered-down article citing my first hand experiences. They didn't plagiarize my writing, and they did hyperlink to

There can be more levels if you want or more things per level if you want to really get expansive. Sorry if my iceberg example wasnβt that great, but I just did it off the top of my head. What would you put?
