this was a hit, 2008-2014. also the guyβs name that he dropped is very caucasian
Platform(s): Wii
Genre: Over the shoulder Fishing
Estimated year of release: Mid to late Wii lifecycle [2007 to potentially 2010]
Graphics/art style: 2D paper-dolls in 3D very similar to Parappa the Rapper, with bright colorful skies and dark dreary waters.
Notable characters: Fisherman, the Kraken from Clash of the Titans as a "boss"
Notable gameplay mechanics: You could consecutively hook fish to get bigger and bigger ones - catch a small fish, that becomes bait for the bigger fish, that becomes bait for a huge fish, all the way up to bosses.
Other details: I remember seeing this game in a Nintendo Power or other similar magazine in an advertisement. It had the fisherman on a boat at sunset with a bright orange sky and he was fighting The Kraken in the distance. The gameplay mechanics noted above were taglines for it. Have looked through Wii game catalogues for fishing and games by the Parappa artist (who did make a really bad Wii game that involved a Marching Band) but could not find this one. It's been on my mind for years as I love weird fishing games.
Or is he just a massive troll who does a really good job of being a horrible "rapper?"

Since The Venue @ Hub closed in 2014, Fargo has had a huge hole in concert facilities. If you are unfamiliar, it was in the Avalon building on 25th and had a main level and a mezzanine. Click here for a picture
It was big time for concerts (see list below) and unfortunately with our current facilities, most of these shows are not possible. It's not because they don't want to come here or didn't draw well. No place to put them
At the time the Venue added the mezzanine level, it was the #98 largest club in the nation with a capacity of 2,800. It was a sweet spot for shows and it routinely got Minneapolis shows
We now see less concerts like that because:
- The Fargodome is way too big
- Scheels arena is too big at 6,000
- Bluestem, The Lights and Fargo Brewing, are outdoor facilities, and can only be used in the summer. Plus they can't go late with noise ordinances
- Fargo Theater only holds about 1,000, but no general admission and it has permanent chairs
- The Sanctuary holds around 800.
- The Hall at Fargo Brewing & Aquarium is under 400
How can we get a 3k seat indoor concert facility with a mezzanine level like the Venue had?
The City of Fargo and Fargodome wants to build a convention center attached to the dome. It seems like a good opportunity to turn one end of it into a building similar to The Venue @ The Hub was. It could still be used for convention space and business meetings
Then tear the Fargo Civic down because they let it fall into disrepair and let them build the performing Arts Center there. That building will not be suitable for concerts. It will have permanent seats.
If the goal is to attract concerts, tourist dollars and attract a workforce (people want to live where things are going on), this seems like home run
Here is an incomplete list of shows held at The Venue back in the day. Unfortunately we have no place to put them so they skip Fargo

Back in the day, I used to speak with Tyler and Hodgy EARLY EARLY odd future days (2009-2010) on myspace when they were just shooting fish eye lenz skating videos acting a fool at 7 elevens in Hawthorne . We gotta think about the fact that at that time the jerkin movement had became the cool thing for the youth to do as an alternative to gang banging along with crumping and skateboarding. That exact era birthed Odd Future. These dudes were a few years younger than me but I knew somehow that they were gonna make some noise if not nationally/ locally.
In LA as a black teenager theres usually a few things that can pull you. Either you completely are secure in your identity of being a square and a regular citizen or you dip and dabble into the gang world until you fully join which you usually know if you will do by age 12-14. Outside of this there's athletes, skaters, dancers and then the kids in pergatory to gang banging which are taggers and cliques. Odd future essentially was a skateboarding / art clique of kids who couldv'e been swayed by gang banging but for the most part grew up in enough of a middle class structure to make the right choice. Hawthorne, Ladera Heights, Westchester and parts of west LA are where most of ODD Future stems from with the exception of Left Brain and Casey Veggies (Originally was in odd future in 2007-2008 before doing his own thing) who grew up in rougher enviornments and more immediate gang neighborhoods .
Tyler used to go by ACE / ACE THE CREATOR and casey veggies sounded EXACTLY like Kanye flow and delivery wise. I wanna say tyler had like 2 or 3 songs up and each one had maybe 5 or 600 plays. This was in 2008-2009. I cant say I knew they'd blow up as big as they did but I def knew they were gonna grow and make noise. It was perfect timing of the myspace era coming to an end and people using youtube / people starting to want lyrical rappers again.
This was the end of the myspace era and beginning of blogspot/ tumblr and rap blogs being important right before youtube really became the main place for all independent rap content.
Tyler was clearly influen

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Background:
Vince Staples is a young rapper from North Long Beach California. His previous works include Summertime β06, Big Fish Theory, and FM! Vinceβs early life was spent as a bit of an outsider because, while his father ran drugs, Vince remained straight laced. He was determined to stick to a good path. Vince grew up with next to nothing and dealt with crime and poverty for most of his youth. Once in high school, Vince moved around constantly and did what was needed to survive. This ended up shaping him into the tired, ethereal artist we know and love. On his self-titled album, Vince looks into himself and the place he was raised and reflects on how much of himself comes from his youth. He also muses on his fame and how despite it all, he remains the same struggling boy from North Long Beach.
Review:
My first exposure to Vince Staples was his feature on Humanz by the Gorillaz. His appearance on the opening track, Ascension, laid the groundwork for the party at the end of the world theme that carried that album. I started looking into the rest of his discography not long after and thoroughly enjoyed everything I heard. Vinceβs dark sense of humor entertained me bar by bar and kept me hooked through every album. However, none of his albums would hit me quite like his self-titled this year.
I did not have high expectations going into this album. I saw that it was another short album by Vince at only 22 minutes and 8 tracks if you cut out the two interludes. However, what I found was my favorite album from Vince to date and one of my favorite albums of 2021.
I heard the album in what I would consider the perfect setting, a gloomy early morning on my way to my day job. Opening with ARE YOU WITH THAT?, the album immediately hooked me. Vince sounds so exhausted and fed up on this thing and I love it. The opener sees Vince look back with

Thereβs a definite pop focus but I picked these tracks with an ear for diversity of sound/artistry so thereβs quite a few different things going on here and some picks that might make you roll your eyes, but I think thereβs something for everyone! FFO means βFor Fans Of,β itβs a reference point for who I think would like each song.
Here is a link to a playlist I made of (most) of the songs.
#Singles:
> Joyce Wrice (ft. Freddie Gibbs) - On One (from Overgrown)
> FFO: Tinashe
It seems like everyone is nostalgic for the β00s these days but if you were specifically missing those block party busting r&b jams, Joyce Wrice has you covered. She oozes the essence of this era of r&b starlets thanks to her flirty-yet-fiery delivery and the Aaliyah sample (βRock The Boatβ) takes this connection even further, but the charismatic rap verse from Freddie Gibbs has a distinctly more modern feeling that still flows well. One of many stellar tracks on her debut album but it stands out thanks to the pop friendly hooks and crazy replay value.
> FFO: Red Velvet
In tarot the βWheel Of Fortuneβ card is supposed to invoke good luck and prosperity and the song really captures that vibe with the bright melody and hopeful lyrics, both of which Riri carries perfectly. The quirky production makes everything even more exciting, itβs got a new jack swing beat but then thereβs all sorts of horns and synths and samples layered on top so itβs just brimming with energy while still being perfectly in control.
> LΓLΓ - Hurt Less (from overkill)
> FFO: Avril Lavigne
Emo pop-rock meets self-deprecating Tik Tok music, and thatβs a compliment! Canadian singer LΓLΓ started with this sound last year (so she was actually a bit ahead of the curve on this trend) but she took until this year with the overkill EP to really nail it. This song is indulgently relatable and the chorus just creeps up on you, itβs so catchy and

##national money transfer system is being established in Armenia
Central Bank will implement the "STAK Money Transfer" system within a few months.
The goal is to make domestic and international payments without opening a bank account. In the future, the system will allow transfers to a bank account or e-wallet.
CB rep.: STAK will allow you to receive any transfer in any bank. All Armenian banks, the ArCa system, and other transfer systems will be connected to the system. STAK will connect to similar "subsystems" of other countries, including Russia's Rapid Payment System.

##Armenia plans to reform clinics, ICUs, and children's medical services
Healthcare Ministry's Maternal Dept.: a taskforce was formed to begin the process. The first is outpatient services. We need to modernize the facilities and retrain specialists. This will improve the service quality and reduce the load on hospitals.
Institutions providing pediatric medical services get overloaded because of flu and other viruses. People usually rush to hospitals instead of clinics. There are days when only 15% of hospital patients end up needing hospitalization.
Besides modernizing equipment and skills, clinics should have specific standards. Their role should be preventative care and organizing home treatment in case of mild illnesses.
The financial model will change. The funding hasn't been reduced but there will be internal redistribution to prioritize funding for heavier cases.
The quality of ICU care will improve. We have a series of problems in the provinces. Outside Yerevan, only Gyumri has large ICU facilities with lots of equipment and specialists. //

##Background:
Over the past 5 years Mach-Hommy has released a barrage of new age boom-bap projects: from his Griselda debut βHaitian Body Odorβ in 2016, to the colossal 2017 wave of βDump Gawd: Hommy Editionβ, βLuh Hertzβ, βFete De Mortsβ, βThe G.A.T.β and numerous more, his 2018 and 2019 releases including βBulletproof Luhβ and βWap Konn JΓ²j!β, as well as 2020βs βMachβs Hard Lemonadeβ. Staying quiet after the release of MHL, photos emerged Christmas Day of Mach-Hommy and Westside Gunn together, showing the two had reconciled after a falling out following the release of HBO. After this Gunn announced various albums on Twitter, including a Mach release under Griselda, titled HBO 2 in the tweet. On Easter Sunday, Gunn released βEaster GunnDay 4β, featuring Mach-Hommy, in which it was proclaimed that the two would be dropping a project titled βPray For Haitiβ. Photos and footage of work on the album in Puerto Rico showed collaboration with the likes of Camoflauge Monk, SadhuGold and Westside Gunn himself. It was announced the album would drop on Haitian Flag Day, May 18th. Despite this, it wasnβt until the following Friday, May 21st, that the album was finally released.

I kind of already made a post about Yestoday before but I wrote that one while I was sleep deprived so I kinda want to yell about why I unironically think Yestoday is the best song in NCT's entire discography in a more thorough concise manner, going through the song itself, the lyrics, the MV, the whole shebang (mostly cause I want a post to revisit whenever I feel like appreciating Yestoday again but my previous was too messy imo lmao).
Disclaimer : There will be tons of probably wrong music terms being thrown around cause I know nothing about music lmao
I was curious about the song the moment I saw the title. Yestoday as a word on its own is so intriguing to me personally. I was wondering whether it meant Yesterday-Today or Yes, Today, both interpretations which I love. It could either mean Yesterday transitioning on to Today hence Yestoday. Or it could be Yes, Today which I interpret as Yes, Today is more important and focusing on Today in general ( Yes to Today/No to Tomorrow. Does that make sense or do I sound crazy?). Either way, I was hella intrigued from the moment I saw the title for the first time.
I am generally not a fan of more minimalistic kind of production, but I love the production on Yestoday. I could listen to the instrumental on its own tbh. When I first heard it, I immediately thought about the work of Nujabes (it reminds me of Blessing It) which is an artist I adore who is considered a pioneer of lo-fi hip hop. I think Yestoday is in the alt hip hop genre? And the instrumental really reflects that with its mix of slightly jazzy sounds and hip hop which creates a kind of intimate and slightly melancholy soundscape that suits the song perfectly. No idea if the following artists are considered a similar genre, but when I first listened to it, it reminded me of other artists I enjoy like Epik High, Offnoff, Nafla, Rad Museum and a few others. There are only a few elements to the instrumental like the snare beat, the horn (?) instrument in the beginning making appearances throughout the song, the little synths and keyboard noises that all combine together to make a perfect accompaniment that is both interesting but simple enough for the artist to fully shine.
You can't appreciate Yestoday without talking about its lyrics. I'm s

Artist: DJ Muggs x Rome Streetz
Album: Death & The Magician
Listen:
Background by /u/farm_sauce
Through a prophetic sense for the future of the genre, mixed with his undeniable roots in the evolution of popularized hip hop sound, DJ Muggs has become the βNick Furyβ of east coast rapβs Avengers, assembling the most lyrically talented verbal superheroes the east coast has to offer, and has asserted himself as an undeniable force for all that is pure and essential to hip hop.
DJ Muggs, born Lawrence Muggerud, is a Queens borough native with a passion for New York hip hop culture. Muggs started his career DJing in the New York underground scene in 1988, shortly before linking with B-Real and Sen Dog to form one of hip hopβs most iconic supergroups, Cypress Hill. You may have heard of them. Muggs produced 7 albums with the group, four of which achieved platinum status, the remaining three going gold. In the late 80βs and 90βs, Muggs wasnβt just on fire, he was a nuclear fission plant for creating iconic music. Some of his most iconic collaborations were with rap hall-of-famers like GZA, House of Pain, Fundoobiest, and Planet Asia to name a few. He was shaping what the everyday listener thought hip hop could sound like, establishing the genre has an American staple, and creating a sound that would be revisited for decades to come.
It was Muggs who took The Alchemist under his wing in the early 90βs. The Alchemist, who needs no introduction to this sub, sparked Muggsβ growing passion for mentoring and collaborating with new artists, especially those whose musical abilities far surpass their exposure and fame. Muggs wanted to work on the razorβs edge of hip hop, carving a path forward with two things in mind: an undying loyalty to the nostalgic sound of 90βs boom bap production, and absolutely filthy elite lyricism.
In 1997, Muggs released an album titled Soul Assassins, defined by its grim and sinister melodies laid under slow-paced and menacing drums, interjected with haunting audio clips that gave the audience an all-too-close look at the rotten underbelly of American soc
