Which was better strategy during financial crisis 2007-2009, Fed or ECB?
I'm reading David A. Moss's macroeconomic text.
According to the book, Fed eased monetary policy and ECB did the opposite during the financial crisis 2007-2009 and the subsequent sovereign debt crisis. And the author says "At the time of this writing, it is still too soon to say whether one monetary strategy or the other will be judged superior in retrospect."
Do people know who was better as of now? I want to know who won and whether there was side effects by each of their choices.
