i've always been interested in economics and finance but now that im at the end of the road looking for potential jobs, and i realized i never actually had a clue what a 'finance' job would look like
I failed at networking and never got an internship while in college and i feel i may have screwed my self a little

Hello everyone I’m currently a freshman at UTD majoring in Computer Engineering (I already have my associates degree so I’m technically considered a junior), when I choose this major I thought it would be something I would be interested in since I’ll be learning about both hardware and software but honestly after my first semester I just don’t see myself being in this field, also the job opportunities seemed to be great but now I think it’s not worth it. Also, I found myself being extremely stressed and anxious all the time last semester and I’m already feeling it this semester. I want to switch to a major that would pay well, isn’t as hard as computer engineering, and would give some sort of school life balance. I’m currently thinking about finance or ITS but don’t know which one would be overall better and would have a good chance of me landing a decent job post graduation. Any and all advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance

Currently I am a freshman Biochem major. I got straight As in my first semester (Calc I, Gen Chem Honors w/ Lab, Philosophy) and will be taking Orgo w/ Lab, Cellular Bio. and Calc II this spring semester.
While I am doing fine so far, I feel a lot of anxiety that I am going to not get into medical school on my first or possibly second try. I'm thinking about majoring in Statistics since the job prospects are decent out of college and it seems easier than CS or engineering whilst being maybe marginally harder than biochem. Also, while college math is hard, I have always been good at math and I breezed through Calc I (I got like 90s while the class averages were 45-55).
I also thought about being a chem major since that's my favorite subject, by far. But, I heard physical chemistry is the equivalent of being raw dogged and I don't want to tank my GPA. Plus, job prospects for biochem vs. chem are not that different, especially since the biochem major at my school allows me to take some upper level chem classes anyways.
The other option is doing engineering. But, that's like the worst major GPA wise. I think maybe chemical engineering would be closest to what I like. But again, I'm not trying to mess up my plan A for a better plan B.
Unrelated: Any recommendations for getting clinical experience during COVID? Hospitals near me are not accepting new volunteers. I have applied to a lot of scribing positions but have not gotten any response. I am considering caregiving positions. But, I'll be honest, they don't sound very interesting to me. I might still apply if I don't get into anything else.

Im at a point in my studies where i am required to choose my major for the rest of my undergrad. My specific bachelor allows for a dual major and im interested and 100% going to do finance to move into hopefully wealth management, portfolio management, capital management etc. But im really stomped on my second major. I understand the link between finance and accounting but I dont enjoy accounting studies so im left with either business analytics, business information systems, or accounting (if it is really worth it). Im hoping to use go into a financial career path with my second major giving me more competitiveness rather than the other way round.

Finance student, enrolling late because of complicated life stuff. I have some health issues and don't want to be attending in person, but can only find 1 class that is fully online? I've searched for all classes, not just open classes.

Hi! I'm a first-year student and currently studying a double major in Marketing and Finance.
The initial thought is just that I'm really good with numbers but I like to do creative stuff like thinking and working on ad campaigns as well as event organizing. So I choose a double major in something I'm good at and something I like.
Although it's only been 1 semester, it's already clear that I'm much better at any subjects related to Finance or Accounting than in Marketing. I got 83 and 84 in Finance and Accounting while only 76 in Marketing which is all still Distinction but I have a much harder time in Marketing and a much boring time in Finance and Accounting.
I'm currently working as an intern at Deloitte in the Audit and Assurance Support and it's fucking boring. I immediately know it's not what I want to do although I'm pretty good at it.
So now I'm lost, what I'm good at is not what I want to do while what I think I want to do is not what I'm good at. :)))))
My question is, WTF can I do?! It's there something in between or I'm should just focus on one thing.

Currently a freshman at a semi-target and interested in pursuing a career in IB post-graduation. My thought process is that the former option may look better to future employers. However, the latter option would provide more maneuverability in my schedule to take a greater number of courses that I am interested in and possibly allow me to graduate a semester early.
I plan on tailoring my CS Major/Minor towards courses in data analytics and web and app development. My hesitation with the CS major is that I would have to take courses that I am neither interested in nor are applicable to my career.
