Adiantum wilesianum - This is a tropical maidenhair fern closely related too and often confused with Adiantum polyphyllum. It also has a very distinct smell that fills the room which I wouldn't describe as pleasant....

Many people mistake these for grass but they are in fact Isoetes (quillwort). They are more closely related to ferns and have been around since the Jurassic period. Photo from Arabia Mountain, GA, USA.

Skylarking- is this the related to cashing in your Fern-ticket?
I suspect Skylarking is a naturally outdoor clothes-optional intimacy, as the sonic backdrop of bird chatters and insects and buzzy hummers intensify the alfresco setting.
There's also a Gloustershire idiom calling for a 'Fern Ticket'- al-fresco initimacy as close as wanted,

Minor fern related emergency, help from a local gardener?
I'm posting for a friend who is having a bad day. He's going to be giving a big career related talk in Vancouver on Monday and a portion of his talk involves a live demo with a touch sensitive fern, called mimosa: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mimosa_pudica
Despite prepping for several weeks in the greenhouse, he had some last minute trouble and has been looking for young samples of this variety before hopping on the plane. No luck, so I suggested the good folks in the Vancouver sub who might be able to recommend a store or knows a guy or something that could help find an 8" tall mimosa touch sensitive fern somewhere in Vancouver before Monday. Plant size is very important apparently! He will surely compensate the helpful individual somehow. Thanks, fingers crossed!
Edit: Great leads so far, thanks!

Davallia parvula, a mini, epiphytic, "vining" fern which is great for terrariums. It's relatively easy to grow and resilient. Moist, humid, low to medium light. Sphagnum works well for substrate. This one was featured in my recent video about 10 easy to grow miniature terrarium plants.

Hello! Is my hemionitis arifolia just underwatered? It has been in a relatively cold room because my asparagus and some other ferns are thriving in there. We just had our first night below 0, I read it needs at least 15c all year and it might have been under that the past nights. :(
