A list of puns related to "Fender Bassman"

For sale is my kickass β67 Bassman. I really do love this thing but my current amp love interest is with another amp at the moment so this must move on.
Iβve owned this for about two years and bought it from the southwest. I attribute the hot heat and face melting riffs to wearing the faceplate how you see it.
nonetheless, this amp has been maintained while in my possession. This amp was gone the by the great Dean Zink. Dean is a tech who builds amps for Michigan greats such as Bob Seger and is also licensed to work on old Fenders such as this one. This has had a cap job and is ready to rock into the future for many years to come. Itβll come with the receipt for all the work done. Dean also installed a PPI master volume. This was a non invasive mod using the external speaker jack on the rear of the amp and is completely reversible if youβd like. Use it for getting great cooking overdrive at lower volumes and it wonβt suck your tone like attenuation. Or, leave it off and itβs completely out of the circuit. Anyway, I think Iβve covered about everything on this amp. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Looking for $1350 local to Metro Detroit. Iβd also entertain local trades. Iβm willing to split up the head and cab and ship the head on the buyers dime.
Hello, everyone. I've been considering buying a fender bassman, as I've loved how it's sounded on my friend's line 6 helix. I'm not interested in using the helix, as I tend to mod my amps and take pride in their appearance. The helix kind of kills both those things, at least for me. I don't know, I guess I like my amps to look nice, but this is getting off track.
Anyways, yeah, a bassman is in the cards right now. I've been looking at the 59 bassman combo reissue, the blackface bassman head, and the silverface bassman head. They all seem to hover around 700-1200 used, and the question I have is, is there any real difference in these different models, besides appearance and speakers? I'm familiar with the differences between tweed, blackface, and silverface amps, but does the bassman change at all throughout these different iterations? Thanks a bunch mates.
I get that comparing tones can be difficult, so I wonβt ask anyone to do that here (unless you think you can). All I want to know is: which do you like better? What features do you like/not like on either of the amps? For reference, I play very fast walking bass lines in a punk/hardcore band. Power-wise, I know both amps would have me covered. Iβm just curious about tone. Thanks!
Hey, I recently received as a gift a fender bassman from the year 78. It's a silverface, stock, mint condition. I wanted to know a few things.
Thanks.
I plan on getting the bassman because I like the dark tone and I read it takes pedals well but the twin reverb is tempting as well, what are your thoughts. I have a metal, punk, grunge-esque sound.
Iβm not sure if itβs just me thinking of it or if itβs actually true, but is the current Fender Super Bassman 300 watt tube head related/ similar sounding to the old SUNN 300T heads? I canβt remember if I heard that was true or if itβs something I just thought since Fender has the rights to SUNN amps.
Mods, feel free to delete if it's not okay to ask for something that's not a pedal.
Looking to trade any and/or all of this for a highly customizable synthesizer unit with keys, preferably one easily capable of sounds suited for industrial rock.
I've been collecting pedals and related gear for a little while, and am looking to offer the more rare items I have in exchange for a synthesizer. I have little knowledge of them, but will love to look up anything offered.
I'm also interested in wacky pedals: synth, bitcrusher, modulation, pitch shifting, whatever else you got
For the longest time I was dead set on a Verellen Meatsmoke as a bass amp, but they unfortunately closed shop before I could order. Since then Iβve decided on the Fender Super Bassman as the closest/best replacement, for the following reasons:
β’ 300 watts of all tube power β’ effects loop for my modulation and volume pedal β’ switchable channel switch for distortion β’ Bassmans have been popular for guitar amps in doom. Iβve heard the Sunn Model Ts are based on the Bassman circuit, but Iβve been unable to verify this. Regardless I feel it could also be a monster guitar amp. Again, unable to rest this claim
Iβve not found any demos of the Super Bassman or even the 100T being used in this context, so Iβm turning to you before making a decision. If anyone has experience with this amp for doom bass or knows of another good doom amp that fits the same criteria (high wattage, master volume, effects loop, foot switchable distortion channel), let me know please
Hi all,
A 1968 AB165 Fender Bassman I recently picked up has a faulty volume knob on the bass channel. The amps lets a constant signal level pass through regardless of what the volume knob is set at. I believe its due to the volume knob on that channel not being grounded (see photos) as the normal channel seems to match the schematic as being grounded. The schematic shows that its supposed to be grounded but the prong that should is not connected to anything. Just looking for a headknod from someone else before i try this to be honest.
