Felix Gaeta is such a complicated character. He's goes from the young bushy eyed junior officer to institutional believer and supporter to alleged traitor to seasoned officer to muniteer. The fact he stayed loyal to Adams and the president post witch trial shows that he does have some deep values. I understand his desire for mutiny even if I don't agree with it. He had every right to hate the system for his leg and what happened on the Demetrius. I wouldn't call him a "great" character, but certainly one that evolved through the series.
Gaeta's (Song) Lament. I'm midway on my watch of Season 4 Episode 14. I know what will happen next but still I like the character of Lt. Felix Gaeta. Gaeta is one of the show's well-rounded character with clear motivations. Seeing his descent and downfall cracks the frak out of me.
Just before Gaeta ######stabs Baltar with a pen Baltar says he knows a damning secret of Gaeta's. I think he mentions it a few more times later on. What was he talking about?

Christmas, or in this case Dragonyule, has been an event that brought forth joy to numerous folk, whether human, sylvan, crystalian (if we're going to call Lily that) and many other beings that live in Grastaea. From hardworkers and monarchs like Cleo, Xander and Nefaria, to allurers and dragon clansmen like Malora and Xainfried, Fydon and Felix. Even straightforward soldiers with no rest, like Victor teaming up with Lily. But what about the supposed Goddess that supposedly brought forth the origin of this festival herself, as well as one of the most objective-focused agents of the Church? Given what we know about the secrets of the Church and the Goddess itself, this Dragonyule has taken a very serious turn!
Sorry about being late, I've been rather busy with numerous things. But now I can sit down and actually have time to write this post without any clutter in my mind! We have Nevin and Ilia that star the show, and let's not forget our one-eyed Blazewolf grandpa, Gatov! To no surprise, Ilia and Nevin both have their actors reprising them, even though most considered Nevin's voice to sound different than usual. Shall we?
Ilia - Kelly Sheridan. Ilia was Kelly Sheridan's first character (the second being Kuzunoha) to use her real name, since her previous characters of Verica, Xania and part of Mym (sharing the role with Tabitha St Germain) was credited by her pseudonym, Kelly Marie. Kelly is a very popular voice actor, though unfortunately overshadowed by the US voice actors because most anime work ends up in the US (which is fair enough). However, she did appear in early 00s anime shows such as Sango from Inuyasha, Hitomi from The Vision of Escaflowne, Praxina from Lolirock, Scarlet Witch from X-Men Evolution, and so on.

Nevin - Alessandro Juliani. Also the voice of Nevin's angel daddy Ramiel, Alessandro has done plenty of VO work for animations as well as live-action shows. Still, I'm surprised there was no response when this guy was responsible for the voice of L in Death Note, Jacapo Sinclair in The 100, Koji in Oban: Star Racers, Lt Felix Gaeta in Battlestar Galactica, and many others! I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

I usually sympathise with the underdog and it's been referenced in the series that Adama and Roslyn were aloof or indifferent to the challenges faced by the fleet, specifically in the unionisation episode. I think his mistake was not being fast enough to eliminate Adama and his allies, Zarek had the right idea with the Qurom. If they had done a purge of the leaders, the morale of the opposition would be broken. It would have been fun to see the last part of season 4 become the Felix Gaeta show where he's admiral or supreme overlord and flies the fleet into the sun.
