A list of puns related to "Fashion Crime"
Your honour - I just DNFed Vicious by L.J. Shen and I submit to the jury evidence of some of the worst crimes against fashion I have ever read.
The defendant is one Emilia LeBlanc. A 26 year-old struggling artiste and seriously 'quirky' not-like-other-girls girl with lavender/purple coloured hair and peacock blue eyes. She's boho, she's a hipster and she also got an obsession with cherry blossom trees because she's a weeaboo as well I suppose.
Exhibit A – LeBlanc is seen on her way to work at a bar wearing a bibbed sailor dress covered in smiley faces.
Exhibit B – LeBlanc starts her first day at work as a PA in a law firm wearing a red and white ladybird dress with bright yellow leggings and high heels. She has matched this outfit with a Harley Quinn messenger bag. I want to remind the jury that LeBlanc holds a position at a prestigious law firm in New York, and that she is a 26 year old woman.
Exhibit C – LeBlanc goes to a meeting at a lawyer's house wearing a retro royal blue velvet dress, silver leggings and cowboy boots.
Exhibit D – LeBlanc dresses to travel in faux leather tights and a pink pompom sweater.
I'm afraid I stopped reading at 60% so have likely missed other outrageous offences against fashion, however I believe I have presented sufficient evidence to the jury and rest my case. I ask that you find her guilty, and sentence her to seven years hard labour in a fashion boutique.
So lets have it! Have you read equally awful crimes against fashion is romance? Share it here, and let us judge the offenders harshly!
(P.S - This is just for fun by the by. If you are sat there in your ladybird dress and yellow leggings feeling attacked then I am sorry, and if it helps I dress like a filthy hobo and have no fashion sense what-so-ever)
Similar to films like Death Wish, Ajussi/Man from Nowhere, Nobody, Punisher, Falling Down, Law Abiding Citizen, etc.
I don't really know how to start this off, but am I the only one who feels like this skin is kinda messy?
I've seen people say that her abilities read more as "Void" than eldritch horror. I'm not too bothered by that as they just focused too much on the biological aspect and can easily fix this if they added more smoke and embers.
Miss girl's fashion sense, however...
Ignoring how her splash art could literally be Evelynn, Morgana or other female champs, her dress (in-game) just isn't it? To be fair the splash art looks pretty decent and does its job. The upper part of the dress has vertical lines indicative of a suit and the high collar turtle neck moment feels classy, but unfortunately, none of this translates to the in-game model; it comes across as a tacky white dress with weird lines.
Once again, I have problems with the in-game model, not the splash. And while being let down by in-game models is nothing new (KDA All Out Eve hair), I feel like they could have opted for something else that would have translated better.
I don't know much about mafia culture or fashion, and nor do I claim to, but from what I've seen with a quick google search, her outfit doesn't really fit the aesthetic either. I'd say that female mafia fashion can be split into two categories: suits and dresses. Examples of the former can already be seen in the skin line, MF with a more feminine approach and Akali with a more masculine. The latter is normally simple, sleek and elegant dresses. And while technically, she fits this description, personally, I just don't feel like the in-game model looks classy enough to fit the theme (especially when you compare her to the other skins) cause at the end of the day it's a short white dress with black leggings. Add that to her tied up hair, and she almost looks more like a nurse/cleaner in a work uniform than a leader of organised crime.
I'd have probably opted for a longer (maxi) dress (more elegant and classy), fitting the general aesthetic and also avoiding the leggings. That would be too simple, however, which is why I'd also have liked her design to have incorporated fur into it, either with a boa in the original or a jacket with mine. We see this feature being used in Darius' design which adds that extra something to his skin. Not only does fur come up in female mafia fashion, but it also connotes wealth (due to how rare and expensive the material can be) and cruelty (because of how the material is made, think Cru
