Looking at the start of our season with 3 losses and no goals scored, if you’d have told me that we’ll be nominated for goal, player(s) and manager of the month awards for December with 4th place I would have said your retarded. What a turnaround this for Arsenal!

Does anyone else think it would be super weird to look the same age as your parents? Like Lucien probably looks the same age as his mom. And the Lady of Autumn could technically still have kids...I mean, I grew up in Utah so it isn't that weird for me to see moms being pregnant at the same time as their daughters/in-laws but I still think it's very strange. I guess if you grew up seeing your parents/elders the same age it might not be weird.

So I’m a sucker for stories involving travel to other dimensions, or trips to the past, or other cases in which a character ends up somewhere which is unfamiliar to them. I’ve seen some people mention this kind of thing before in passing, and I know it’s a theme which you could probably train the AI on easily enough.

I’m just wondering if other people have done stories along these lines, and if there was anything in particular which worked well/helped keep things on track? I am grappling a bit with a sense of option paralysis; there’s so much I could do but it’s hard to pick one idea and stick to it. :)

So I know I haven't posted anything in a while... I'm actually really sorry about that, and I hate that I haven't gotten around to it. You might care to know that I am indeed working on what's going to be a pretty long series, but I'm not gonna spoil that for you by giving away too much. Still, I don't want to be that horror writer who skips Halloween (because nobody does) and I missed you guys a lot... therefore, I've decided to dig up something for you. I'll post the start of a new (different) series in a bit, maybe an hour or two or something, but just a fair warning: this one isn't finished. There's a couple parts to it already so I hope you'll like it and perhaps it'll keep you engaged, just don't expect it to be updated like clockwork. More on that later though.

I would have read it in 2013/14, and the cover was one of those with a cutout circle on the front, dark red. The main characters name was a month or a day I think (maybe Saturday?), and at the beginning she was in her bathroom or something and had to climb out her window. Mostly what I remember was the title of the book being absurdly long, even when I was reading it I couldn't remember it. I think "fairyland" was in the title as well.

I've noticed that FairyLand's website has listed most of its current line as "out of stock" for the last couple weeks. I was planning on treating myself to a FairyLand minifee doll for Christmas, and have been saving up. Does anyone know if/when FairyLand are likely to release their next minifee doll?

Has anyone come across any fan-made art from Paul McAuley's Fairyland? Specifically art of the dolls. When I first started reading, my mind envisioned blue skinned Despicable Me Minions and I can't shake the image.

I've seen all the book covers and have googled this thoroughly. Just wondering if anyone's got or has seen any images from the book that might not come up in regular searching.

So I've been having trouble beating the title level and have had to reset multiple times.

I found recently that I suddenly can no longer complete some of the early battles that I was able to beat originally, both of which have 2 phoenixes.

The phoenixes just infinitely rebirth from their eggs - I kill them tons of times and they just keep turning into eggs and being reborn. I tried resetting many times, closing the app and reopening, turning off my phone and on again but nothing has seemed to fix the issue. I'm not sure why this started happening all of a sudden. Also, this doesn't happen on stages with only 1 phoenix.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if this the right crowd for this type of gaming, but I’m looking for suggestions for my wife. She’d never call herself a “gamer” but she has been playing a browser based game called Fairyland (https://www.fairylandgame.com/) on and off again for the last 15 years.

In essence, you have a virtual garden in which you plant plants and try to attract critters for other “gardeners” to spot.

Periodically there are themed challenges and quests where certain critters need to be spotted in specific quantities and order.

It can be quite engrossing and time consuming. My wife has some chronic health problems, so this has been a helpful diversion.

The community is fairly political which occasionally can make things stressful. Some of the player-mods have also become a bit mercurial which has also taken a lot of the fun out of it.

She’s considering leaving the game or at least taking a break but it would create a void. So I’m looking for alternatives for her.

She’s enjoyed Animal Crossing (newest one) but found the limits on island size limiting.

She’s not really into games where reaction time and hand-eye is important.

She has a Switch, iPad, and Mac laptop.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This was first announced in August, but I thought I'd share it since no one ever posted about it here. Starting next year, the series will be revived with a new artist but otherwise the same team behind it (Young is still the writer, and the colorist and letterer are the same as before). Based on the images shown, the new artist looks good, too!

And leading up to the revival of the main series, there will be short stories from other artists and writers released on Young's Substack. (That August post originally announced them as timed exclusives for paid subscribers - timed until later publication - but he later decided to make them free for everybody after all.) These stories will also get published next year as an anthology release, and the first one is out now!
