I have so many issues with WiFi. At home, the calls cut out and the constant hand-off between WiFi and Cell causes issues mid-conversation. The call quality on WiFi is consistently terrible.
At work, the WiFi connection is even worse - and for some reason, handoff to cellular doesn't even happen. In order for me to take a call on my cell while in the office, I need to turn off WiFi.
The real deal breaker for me is that there are so many inconsistencies with MMS when I am on WiFi. I've had my phone connected to WiFi for the last 24 hours, and in that time frame, my sister sent a series of MMS messages to my fiance and I. I only realized I wasn't getting them because, obviously, my fiance got them and I live with her. So I decided to disable WiFi on my phone, and bam, the MMS messages from the prior 24 hours start flowing in.
Look, I get what Republic is trying to do, and I get the incentive for offloading to WiFi - but at the end of the day, what you are really doing is accepting defective/lower quality service for lower cost.
Maybe this is an acceptable reality for some, but for me, I kind of prefer my service to be consistently working. Kind of defeats the purpose of having it at all if it has so many glitches and failures. It's 2015, that's all I can really say. No reason for issues like this. No excuse.
