I had a chance to go see Eyes Adrift a few years ago and was so excited. I was getting to see a member of Nirvana, Sublime, and the Meat Puppets. I was up close to the stage mostly for the show but my pictures lack better quality, sorry. Anyways, after the show I waited for what seemed like forever by the bus. No one was coming out except for a roadie a few times. Bud, the drummer (Sublime & Eyes Adrift) opened up the door and signed my ticket. Was pretty stoked about that. A while longer and the roadie came out again and we gave him a piece of paper that had my website address on it (I used to run a pretty decent Nirana fan site). He also took my copy Bleach on CD onto the bus.

About half an hour later, or what seemed like 5 hours, the crowd around the bus died down to about 5 people including my two friends and I. I was leaning up against the bus door when it opened and I almost fell over. I looked up and there was Krist. He hugged me and thanked me for the web address and handed me my Bleach CD, signed. I was just about ready to pass out from being nervous and shy. I'm pretty sure that was one of the most awesome moments of my life. So glad I waited outside of that bus as long as I did.

Lewis Hamilton has faced so much criticism over the years for various reasons, including those mentioned above. But how much truth is there in those accusations?

I decided to dig a little deeper and give some facts and reasoned responses to each of those criticisms.

Beware: This will be a very, VERY long post.

"His success is because Ron Dennis sponsored his early career"

Hamilton started his karting at the age of eight. By the time he was 10, in 1995, he had won the British Kart Championship and the STP Karting Championship.

The following year, 1996, he won the Sky TV KartMasters, the Five Nations Championship, and the Champions of the Future series.

In 1997 he won the Super 1 National Championship, and the Champions of the Future series again.

In 1998 he was signed up for the McLaren Driver Development Support Programme.

So I think it's fair to say he was signed up by McLaren because of his early success rather than his success was because of his sponsorship by McLaren.

"He only won his first World Championship because Glock let him by"

As bizarre as this conspiracy theory is, there are still those who believe it.

So for those people.....

On lap 65 of the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix Hamilton was 4th, Vettel 5th, Kovalainen 6th, and Glock 7th.

On lap 66 Glock passed Kovalainen but was still 20 seconds behind Hamilton.

On lap 67 Hamilton and Vettel pitted for intermediate tyres. Glock did not. So Glock was now in 4th with Hamilton 5th and Vettel 6th.

On lap 69 the rain became heavier, and Vettel passed Hamilton.

Then on lap 71, the final lap, Massa crossed the finish line to win the race. But Hamilton, on intermediates passed Glock, still on his dry tyres. to claim the 5th place he needed to take the World Championship.

So in those last laps from lap 65 onwards Hamilton went from 4th to 5th, but Glock went from 7th to 6th. Glock's decision to stay out was actually a gamble that paid off. He gained one position.

And that means whatever Glock did, pitted or not, he would

Luther, arch-betrayer of the Lion is locked up beneath The Rock. But every so often a Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angels will go to talk with him, to receive information or advice on something. Morderan kept Luther's imprisonment somewhat stable for a while to ask what he should do about Cypher, who had appeared at random to both help and hinder the Dark Angels. Luther told him the story of when he met the Lion, and advises him to treat Cypher not as a beast but as a man, because immediately shooting him won't give any insight into what Cypher actually wants or plans. Morderan doesn't seem to really understand the story and gets excited about the idea of capturing Cypher. The first line of this excerpt is the end of one chapter, and the second is the beginning of thee next chapter.

One of my players has to leave for the military next week after playing for 12 sessions with us. His character was a nameless warforged sorcadin who fell from a skyborn Cyre 1313, dispatched as the eyes of a mysterious patron (Vecna) for unknown reasons. Nameless set adrift in the domain of dread, until recently only came upon a name based on his past lives' previous profession: Padre. This I left as a red herring to the characters "name" until the end.

Their main bad guy, the vampire Baron Metus (the exact opposite of Strahd motivation wise) had been unknowingly working with the secret side villain: a twice-banished (implied critical role connection) Venca communicating through the Tomes of Stilled Tounges, who has concocted a scheme of usurping Azalin within a new body to render himself Mortal once again. To restart his quest under a new name and soulmark to bypass his banishment behind the divine gate Jesus style, and to take his newfound divine knowledge as insight to finally slay the Raven Queen and dethrone the Dark Powers.

Part of this knowledge is the Ultimate Secret for the Lord of Secrets: The Players at the Table. I gave the players their moment: The Baron was dispatched by Vecna to collect the Arcane body of the Warforged to serve as a potential vessel for Vecnas rebirth, in which Vecna communicated Padre's true name. So in a scene where the party was almost killed, the Paladin surrendered himself to the main bad guy, to which he replies "You're a brave man, [player name]" and everyone screamed in astonishment as he misty escaped with the paladin in tow, leaving his fate ambiguous if/when said player returns.

The pool complex I work at is pretty typical, if rather large. It’s not in the centre of the city, it’s closer to the edge, and as such has loads of space to work with. There are gyms and courts and several large pools that it’s comprised of, all inter-connected with warm and pleasantly humid plexiglass tunnels. Extra appreciated at this time of the year.

Sometimes as I’m walking through one such tunnel in my shorts, sandals and lifeguard shirt I’ll catch a glimpse of someone outside, shivering through their coats in the snow, and I can’t help but feel relieved to be on this side of the glass.

My boss is an eccentric lady. The manager. She laughs and smiles a lot but damn if she doesn’t always look so tired. It’s like I can see the stress aging her in actual, real time. She needs to take it a little easier, is what I think.

“About a year, I think?” I reply, and there is a pause.

I can’t quite put my finger on it... but something suddenly changes. The atmosphere becomes a little more strained. A little more tense.

I shift uncomfortably.

Kate, my boss, glances up from the desk and over my shoulder. I turn around to see one of my colleagues behind me through the open doorway. Nice guy. He’s been here longer than me, I think. But the moment my eyes meet his he turns away, and heads off and away out of sight.

I look back to Kate and the silence stretches on.

I manage an awkward laugh, but she does not smile with me, now.

“Employees that have been with us for as long as you have, Dan, are given the opportunity to earn a little extra money”.

“Ah, okay”, I reply, eyebrows raised.

She rubs her wrist absent-mindedly. Running a thumb over the ‘V’ she has tattooed there as she looks at the wall in thought.

“We run night sessions here sometimes. Did you know that?” she says, still not looking directly at me.

“For real?” I ponder this. “No… No I didn’t know. Is this a recent thing?”

“No”, she replies, and does not elaborate any further.

More silence.

I shift with discomfort in my seat. The air is, as it always is in the complex, humid, but goosebumps shoot up across my arms

I just finished one of the endings >!(idk the names, is the one you take the warp core from the Ash Twins Project and warp yourself to the eye of the universe with the vessel). Holy shit, I non ironically felt more terrified playing this game than any other horror game I've played. Getting close to a black hole? Falling into the sun? Diving into deep waters in a planet full of tornados? Wandering rocks? Running adrift of your ship with low oxygen in the middle of space?!<

I feel this game understands cosmic horror much better than any Lovecraftian game I've seen. Because the horror you experience comes from dealing with overwhelming forces that you do not comprehend, but that are not actively malicious, they are just...indifferent. They are beautiful, mesmerizing and terrifying natural phenomena in the game's universe. So yeah, when I talk about this game to my friends I always tell them it's a very good horror game.

Some clubs have played as few as 17 matches. Others, 23. Twixt the two are, well, predictably, clubs that have played—wait for it—18, 19, 20, 21, or 22 matches. And that, dear readers, is why your correspondent gets paid the big bucks. Hard-hitting, no holds barred investigative journalism. I highly doubt that you'll find this kind of fact-finding at El Metro, The Sun, or any number of birdcage-liner sites. At any rate, let's get down to the proverbial brass tacks. There's all sorts of goings-on to sort through.

1. Man City (22 played, 18 W, 2D, 2L: 56 points)
The Citizens continue their almost-Thanos-like domination of the Prem, dispatching would-be foes and rivals with the samed bored and jaded cartoonish ennui of the Marvel supervillain. On Saturday, Chelsea did their best "early 'Guardians of the Galaxy'" attempt at defeating City but could only come away empty-handed on the short end of a 1-0 loss that perhaps flattered the visitors ever so slightly. Truth be told, it's remarkable to see a squad arguably playing in third gear for most of the match against one of its closest rivals ("closest" being a very generous, here meaning "on the same pitch at the same time") and coming away with one of the more-comfortable 1-0 wins you'll ever see. City were generous enough to let Ederson have a few saves, if only to stave enough existential angst, but the outcome, as always, was never really in doubt.

2. Liverpool (21 played, 13W, 6D, 2L: 45 points)
The Scousers did their best to reprise their role of terrier chasing and barking at passing cars, swatting Brentford away by a 3-0 scoreline, to keep themselves within shouting distance of shouting distance of Man City. Don't write them off. They're "only" 11 points adrift...and they have (cue dramatic music) a game in hand. If they keep this up, they'll be a scant eight points behind the league leaders. That might well very be good enough to finish roughly eight to ten points behind City in second place. Huzzah! AFCON has, I dare say, exposed Liverpool's dependence on Salah and Mané. They again looked dull, one-dimensional, and predictable. Still, they have enough quality in their sqaud to trounce a newly-promoted side that sits 14th, so they have that going for them.

Hello there everyone, here is another chapter bringing entertainment to your collective braincells. For your collective reading pleasure, I have a crash course on FTL in the SCU. The SCU uses warp drives to create a bubble of warped space around their craft enabling them to travel faster than light without breaking any laws of physics inside their ships. This warp travel's speed is dependent upon the class of warp field that a ship can generate, a top-of-the-line cruise ship like The Shining Knight with its Class 1 drive has a maximum real space velocity of around 5,000c. while this may seem incredible, it would still take The Shining Knight well over a year to cross just the 4,500 light year core of the SCU and close to three years to cross the entirety of the SCU. This is due in large part to ships needing to stop to refuel their reactors every so often, a ship like The Shining Knight has no internal refinery and enough fuel to safely travel about 14 days at maximum warp. many ships like Captain Filch's Arctic Heart have speeds of only around 3,500c but much higher fuel capacity. Sweet and Sour

Jessie was standing in his new room on board a starship. He had been on ships before of course, but now he was part of the crew. This was exciting, with a pang of sadness in his heart he wished his momma could have seen him now. Flexing his cybernetic forearms at the unpleasant memory he sat on the edge of his bunk.

The Shining Knight, as he had learned it was called, had large rooms for a ship of its size due to its birth as a passenger liner. This made for very pleasant crew accommodations, he had a decent sized room with a large closet and a personal bathroom with a low intensity shower and multispecies toilet. He was thinking about his choice in decor and how he should go buy some furniture to spruce the place up when he heard a tapping at his door.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Barasha bowed her head in reply. "The pleasure is ours here at the studio. I'm going to cut to the cud, everyone wants to know. When are you two going to take mates? The line of Sam rests in your loins, and neither of your older siblings have mated yet. Do you two worry about this?"

Jean turned red and giggled.

Clara nodded and composed herself. "Well, we're both still young. We, well I am planning on doing secondary school still. Maybe after I finish schooling, get a career going, I might settle down."

Barasha looked over at the holocameras. "Interesting. Your primary focus isn't on building up families right away."

Clara shook her head. "No, Barasha. Humans, I guess can have a lot of children, but they haven't been anywhere near as prolific or birth oriented as Grazers tend to be for over a few hundred years."

Barasha pointed to a spot above her head. "These are populations of Clowder species. Here, the Grazers you can plainly see, ever trending upward. But here, humans, you can see a massive drop. Your species is still overcoming an interstellar civil war, your numbers are quite low. Don't you feel a duty to your species to reproduce?"

Jean took a breath and spoke up. "Our audience knows us from our socials, they know we love our family and help them in any occasion we can. We love the Clowder, and everyone here. Yes, humans have dwindled, but we are bouncing back. Duty however, it isn't just made manifest in how much we procreate, but what we do with the rest of our lives. Yes, I do hope to have kids one day. Hell, I would love bunches, but I don't just want to be known as a brood mare. I want to have a positive impact, help people, be something on my own before I have someone dependent on me."

Yesterday I was digging through songs hoping to maybe find a couple of clues we may have missed, and once I got to AnR I noticed something.

The album the AnR MV comes from, Rakuen e no Shingeki or RenS for short, has two extra songs that people don't talk about. Tasogare no Rakuen and Kakumei no Yoru ni. This is what I found on the fandom page:

So, the first song has colorful butterflies, the second song has black butterflies, and AnR has white butterflies. Why is this important? Let's look at the cover art of the album.

On the left we see blue and yellow colored butterflies, in what appears to be a sunset/dusk setting.

In the middle, it's night and we have black butterflies.

Finally, on the right we have white butterflies in what seems to be dawn.

So, the first song is represented by blue-yellow butterflies during dusk, second one is represented by night and black butterflies, and AnR is represented by white butterflies during dawn.
