I am a little bit obsessed with Eyeball Records and I have made a personal goal to listen to every release of theirs as possible. I know not everything they did was emo, but I was wondering if anyone in this sub could help. Here's a checklist of everything I've been able to find so far: eyeball checklist link

Discogs had some releases that weren't from them so I am a little dubious.

I was looking through my music library in my (very old) ipod and I came across an album called "Our Love." It's a compilation album with some of the artists that were with Eyeball Records at the time. The weird part is the album cover had the Bullets cover on it. I remember ripping the CD into my computer years ago (back in 06 or 07). I cannot remember where I purchased it though.

I'm very confused because that's not the albums correct album cover. Younger me didn't even know or barely remember that mcr existed, yet alone Bullets. I'm guessing back then when I looked for album art, Bullets only came up for album art so I chose it for the CD rip. (Younger me was too stupid that it was an mcr album cover)

I guess my question is does anybody remember a compilation album from Eyeball Records?

Is there anything you'd watch over and over?

so I remember getting a copy of Bullets from my local library a while ago and being really confused about some of the tracks being listed twice (I believe it was the first 7), and the duplicates definitely sounding different than the rest of the album. I shrugged it off back then, though, but now I've been getting back into it and listening to the album on Spotify again, and I've noticed that of the first seven tracks, only one is the original MCR track and most are what I've now been able to deduce are the Eyeball Records samplers (track list below).

does anyone know why they're labelled with MCR track names instead of their own names, and why Spotify has the wrong ones? sorry if this has been asked before, I couldn't find an answer with Reddit's crappy search function and it's been confusing me for a while!

Well, this is a new one for me.

For background, when we originally accepted this guest's booking, the first few exchanges were normal, reasonable, boring. The usual back and forth of getting our most important questions answered. I booked him without issue because he didn't ask for anything ridiculous, and he seemed reasonable. He has 1 5 star review of the "great guest, would host again" type.

He booked over a month in advance. A day after booking, he sends me a message that says "You know, normally by now, a host would have sent instructions on how to get in". This is an issue because both our listing and our acceptance email say that one of us will be there to greet the guest at the door and show them around (this is a shared home, so we take them through all the public rooms and also point out the guest rooms, make introductions if another guest is around) and because the "normally by now, a host..." part really rubbed me the wrong way. But I responded cheerfully and said something like "as mentioned in our listing and in the acceptance email, one of us will be there to greet you. All you have to do is ring the doorbell" (and yes, there is an actual picture of our actual front door with a little arrow pointing at the doorbell letting people know to ring it because it is a black doorbell on black-painted door frame. Some people have had a hard time seeing it before).

I get several more "normally by now" messages that are all obnoxious. "Normally by now, a host has given me instructions on how to get to their home on public transit" My response: "As mentioned in our acceptance message, if you need direction on how to get to our place, you need to let us know how you're getting into the city and the approximate time, so we can best advise you

I have not been clued in on vaxxed information bother from the vaxxed and anti-vaxxed side. I have been struggling to hd my job afloat. I'm still new at the gig (5 months). My sister and I have always had the whole ‘twin-tuition’ thing going on. Our parents joked that we spoke our own secret language—one without syllables or sentences. We just understood each other, y’know?

Not gonna lie, our ‘link’ came in super useful. Like during a pop quiz, Alex would pretend to stretch her neck and glance in my direction, and the look on her face would tell me: what did you get for number 4?

And then I’d raise an eyebrow. I put ‘B’, but I’m not 100% sure.

This other time, when we were out with a group of friends at the bowling alley, she scratched her nose, which was her way of saying: Allie, that Tyler guy in your lane is super cute, ask him out!

There were times I hated being a twin, like when we had to put up with dirty jokes or got treated like one person. I mean, okay, we looked identical, but there were SOME differences; arts and crafts were my jam whereas she was always the sporty one. Overall, though, I loved having her as a sister. The creature that had hold of her ship somehow pushed its voice directly into her brain. The process had not been pleasant. It also had not been particularly enlightening. Whatever it was trying to say, she couldn't understand.

"What the hell was that?" Tactical officer Weber was shaking and slapping his head, like he was trying to get water out of his ear.

"We didn't respond to its radio signal, maybe it thought we couldn't hear it." Comms officer Tran seemed relatively unfazed by the mental assault.

"Damage Report."

"EMP, but no explosion, so not a nuke. The only damage so far seems to be fried electronics." Tran was listening in on the damage control teams as they began their work. "No hull breaches, that thing has wrapped us up nice and tight with its tentacles, but either isn't strong enough to squeeze us apart, or doesn't want to."

"Why is the reactor offline?" The reactor was hardened against nuclear strike, which of course also meant against EMP. All of the ship's critical systems were. But right now the only systems that were working were those with local battery backup power.

"Unknown ma'am, engineering says they'll report when they figure it out."

Captain Trent was blind and useless sitting on the bridge. She kicked her mag boots together to activate them, then released her harness. "I'm going to the observation deck to see what the hell is going on out there, keep me updated."

The bridge was located near the center of the ship. Alliance design philosophy was to put the important stuff behind as much metal as possible. So it took the captain a few minutes of climbing and walking to reach her destination.

The observation deck had the largest window on the ship, but Amanda couldn't see much of the creature. She pressed herself against the glass to try to get an angle up and down the ship's outer hull. I cannot for the life of me understand how more people are not talking about this, but since at least RDR2 getting DLSS, a trend has formed of oversharpened, highly inconsistent DLSS implementations.

This has now spread (at the very least), to DOOM Eternal with its latest DLSS update, and now God of War. They all have varying levels of sharpening applied when you move the camera, causing flickering, and an inconsistent, often oversharpened look. RDR2 is one of the worst offenders, with entire trees flickering to the point of them looking downright broken, but DOOM and God of War are still so bad in motion that I consider them to be unplayable with DLSS, at both 1440p and 4K, no matter the quality mode.

More annoying still, ONLY DOOM allows configuration of DLSS sharpening, and even in that case, setting it to 0 doesn't fix this issue. The game still gets painfully sharp when in motion and softens when you stop. I have no idea what is going on with these implementations, but it's truly awful and is turning this from tech that I look forward to trying in new releases, to something I dread checking out, since it will probably be scuffed like these implementations have been, relegated to something I wish I could use.

I might try to capture some high quality videos and upload them to showcase exactly what I mean, but anyone that has access to DLSS in the above titles should be able to see it fairly quickly for themselves.

I'm not sure if this is my home ipv6 misconfigured, or an issue with Naver Line. Nothing is in the search engines.

Display of images (and video calls) do not work in ipv6 though text chat works fine. This across different versions of the app on different phones, and the Chrome plugin.

Ignoring the fact that he traded Chauncey Billups away for half a bag of chips, Rick Pitino was a horror show as the coach. During his tenure he went 102-146, one of the worst in Celtics history. He also famously employed full court press for an entire regular season, and lost the locker room pretty quickly.

Brooklyn Nets: John Calipari (New Jersey Nets)

Another college coach that was bad in the NBA. Although he had some decent results, making the playoffs in 1998, his favoritism towards Sam Cassell soured the locker room atmosphere greatly. The team quit on him as they started the 1998-1999 season with a 3-17 record, Calipari was fired.

Charlotte Hornets: Paul Silas

Hornets/Bobcats franchise have had some pretty tough seasons, but Paul Silas is here mainly due to having the worst win percentage (7-59) in league history.

Chicago Bulls: Tim Floyd

Being the successor to Phil Jackson with 5% of the legendary 90s Bulls is no easy task, but Tim Floyd is still the worst Chicago Bulls coach. It was pretty difficult to look pass 13, 17, and 15 win season. In his 4th season in Chicago he started the season 4-21 before resigning.

Cleveland Cavaliers: John Bellein

The Cavs have had their fair share of terrible coaches, but Bellein is probably the worst of them. He had to apologise after a film session for saying his team was "no longer like a bunch of thugs", and had a pretty horrific .259 record.

Dallas Mavericks: Jim Cleamons

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. First, a little bit about myself: I've been a SafeMoon investor since late March (March 23rd to be exact). I work in the film and television industry, having studied camera tech and lighting design, as well as a minor in marketing management. Something that always bothered me was SafeMoon's lack of marketing know-how; more specifically, they seem to have their priorities all wrong. Allow me to explain:

A properly marketed product thrives within its own ecosystem, which acts as a funnel to direct a consumer in a specific direction to purchase specific products. Think of it like water going down a drain; the body of water may start in a larger container, but it all gets funneled through the same hole. The funnel should start broad, and work its way to a finite goal. In order to make your ecosystem thrive, you need the following:

• A well-designed website that both informs consumers and encourages them to purchase your product

• Broad advertising campaigns that reach out to different sects of the public across a multitude of platforms

• Well-produced video pieces that drive engagement to your platforms, and explain large concepts in a simple manner (Explain it to me like I'm five)

• A PR Department that works to ensure positive relations with the general public as well as the mainstream media

• A finite definition of the product's vision, and why consumers should want to be a part of this product.

As mentioned earlier, these parts need to create a funnel that directs consumers to buy SafeMoon. The workflow for this should be: Definition of Vision --> Public Relations --> Produced Media --> Ad campaigns --> Website --> Purchase

Here's where the issues start for SafeMoon. Let me break it down, piece by piece:

Definition of Vision:

Is it a token? A Cryptocurrency? A Blockchain? Wen Blockchain? Wait, there's wind turbines? We're getting scientific with particle science? We're creating a mesh network? Are we a telecom company, a blockchain innovation company, or a Renewable energy company? All of the above? These are questions that every new serious investor will be asking themselves. SafeMoon owes it to itself to try and define its vision in a more finite manner. John has tried to do so in his recent Operation Pheonix Reveal video, however I'd argue that seemed to fall very flat, and left more questions than answers. More on the video later.

Setting the scene:

So there I was, (no shit), dressed in field DPM (disruptive pattern material, aka Camo) with a massive bergan (issue rucksack) standing in a frozen field on the moors in February at zero dark early, staring at a map and desperately willing it to make some fucking sense.

My feeble head-torch was looking at the squiggly lines and the surrounding humps of black hills on black fields, with black water running somewhere nearby in the shadowed landscape. I looked around again, as though that would suddenly help it click in my head where the hell we were, and realised that as my team chatted amongst themselves, I was the incompetent junior officer we all joke about who couldn’t read a map properly.

Well fuck.

My First Independent “Command”

There were (fortunately), several factors in my defence. Unfortunately, this didn’t make it any less of a disaster.

My particular brand of muppetry could be explained by the fact that I was:

• A very junior officer in the Royal Navy, and had no business being on land, let alone in uniform with shades of green on it.
• Completely untrained in land navigation, being used to naval charts and calculating wind and tide rather than elevation and map-to-ground.
• In an area I had never been before, with 6 hours notice, in the dark.
• (As it later transpired) 3 miles from where we were supposed to have been dropped off.

Rewinding just a little more, we find our intrepid 18 year old Midshipman (O-1) busy working on an assignment, safely in his cabin at BRNC Dartmouth. (The UK version of Annapolis, but RN Officer cadets are only there for 6-12 months depending on branch).

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Just finishing construction on my studio with all the soundproofing, insulation and new walls we put up and I’m about to start purchasing for my vocal booth acoustic treatment (pics linked below)

If anyone has any recommendations on how to go at it that would be great. Not sure if 1 or 2” foam is the best to deaden the higher frequencies and I’m wondering how to keep the signal as dead as possible but not have a boxey or overall muddy sound to the vocals when recording (mostly rap / hip hop)

The sharp click of Jerry's heels coming together echo slightly in the thrown together squad bay for Recruit Platoon 1001, A Company. He'd just finished administering the Drill Instructor's oath, and laying out his expectations and intentions for training. Now it was time to hand things over to the professionals and make this group of mean, green soldiers from beyond the stars into Marines.

"Chief Drill Instructor."

First Sergeant John Hightower snaps to and steps forward crisply, coming to a perfect position of attention. "Reporting as ordered sir."

The men formally exchange salutes, parade ground crisp with every motion.

"You have my orders, carry out the plan of the day."

Jerry turns on a heel and marches out of the squad bay as the tension starts to grow behind him. He can almost feel it... and heads into the Drill Instructor house through it's outside entrance so he can listen in and watch the show.

In 2020, I was politically persecuted and sentenced to X months of imprisonment under the infamous ‘picking quarrels and provoking trouble’ (Chinese: 寻衅滋事) for, according to the CCP regime, posting ‘inappropriate remarks’ in a private (‘protected’) Twitter account. Page 2 to 30 (apparently here on this web page there will be no page numbers) is a detailed statement on this. Following that is a list of documents that I handed in on D MMMM 2021 at the UK Border of XXXXXX Airport. Supplemental information is provided following this list.

In fear of further persecution from the CCP regime of mainland China, after months of preparation, I finally managed to flee the regime on D MMMM 2021 and arrived at the UK Border the next day. I then applied for asylum right away at the border, and submitted all the documents that can prove my experience I had at that time. I do solemnly affirm that every word written in this statement and every proof provided are true and genuine and I am, therefore, sincerely imploring your consideration.

Setting up a new thread for housing the PPP streams from Plague's Picarto since only so many VoDs get saved at a time otherwise.

Rarely Picarto can corrupt the VoD audio and make it unrecoverable after the fact, so if anyone wants to add a layer of redundancy feel free to record a stream's audio live and then confirm that the VoD itself looks good before deleting it. Some of that redundancy is already being done but more eyeballs doesn't hurt and if we have at a minimum a copy of the audio floating around I can still create an archive entry for it.

Give me a heads up if you notice any issues with the archive.

Just sharing my experience ahead of the new year's resolutions posts:

The thing you usually hear is 5 years but it's been over 4 for me so close enough lol. In 2017 I made a conscious effort to lose weight and get healthy. I'm 184 cm (and female, stay out of my DMs please) and went from ~240lbs/32 BMI (238 highest recorded, though I'm sure I was in the 240s) to 170lbs/23.3 BMI within six months. I took a break for awhile and maintained ~170 for about two years without too much effort. I did gain probably 15-20lbs during 2020 (didn't weigh myself), but easily lost it plus more in 2021 by being conscious of portions and getting more exercise. I've now been around 160 lbs/21.4 BMI (lowest 156, highest 165) for six months or so.

Things that helped:

• The happy scale app (don't weigh myself regularly anymore, but when I did it was great)
• Not cutting out entire types of foods - I still eat fast food and junk, just not for every meal
• WELLBUTRIN. Started taking it for depression this year and it's been a total godsend, plus it's wiped my appetite so maintaining my current weight is acutally sort of difficult because I never crave anything
• Finding low-calorie/more nutritious substitutes like chickpea pasta (still eat regular pasta and stuff too, I just like the other options as well)
• MyFitnessPal during the initial six months. I don't use it anymore because I can pretty well eyeball most things and keep loose track automatically in my head now
• No such thing as cheat days. I incorporated all the foods I like into my regular diet, just in smaller amounts, and days like Thanksgiving or Christmas are only a couple times a year so who cares what you eat on those days. I just found that doing a free for all on weekends quickly undid all weekly progress.
• Finding the eating schedule that worked for me - I prefer just coffee in the morning, snacks during the day, and eating a heavier meal in the evening. If I tried the "don't eat after 7pm" thing I would be miserable, and eating a full breakfast either makes me feel bloated and sluggish or I actually get hungrier during the day. There's no one magical schedule that will work for everyone.
• Reasonable exercise goals - I wanted to do an easy 10 min mile (can do 7 now if I push it), proper push ups, and unassisted pull ups. I hate running (though I still do it) and never want to run a marathon, so I don’t bother making that one of my goals since I don’t care about it
