Hi everyone, I dug out my old A500 after reading about A501 expansions and those pesky Varta batteries. I've removed that and despite some leakage it luckily seems fine, but sadly my old RAM expansion sidecar isn't happy. It's an Evesham Micros Reference unit with 4MB of RAM, and while I have the test floppy that came with it, I no longer have any documentation. It also seems to be a fairly rare bit of kit making it hard to find any info other than this page.
I've had a range of symptoms with it connected
- A500 doesn't boot, power light doesn't come on, black screen
- A500 doesn't boot, power light comes on, grey screen
- A500 boots, doesn't see the sidecar expansion
- A500 boots, Workbench reports the extra RAM, guru meditation when loading the board's RAM test program
I've opened it up (photos attached) but all looks fine as far as I can see. I also can't rule out the connector on the A500 itself as an issue since I don't have anything else to test with. Does anyone have any ideas where to start?

On the 4 August 1265, the Royal Forces of Henry III led by Prince Edward meet The Baronial Forces of the Rebel Barons led by Simon de Montfort at Evesham in Worcestershire, to decide if Simon de Montfort would stay as the defacto ruler of England. In the original timeline, the Royal Forces numbered 10,000 defeated the Baronial Forces numbered 5000, leading to the death of Simon de Montfort and the reinstating of Henry III as the ruler of England.
But what if the significantly smaller Baronial Force managed to decisively defeat the Royal Forces like at the earlier Battle of Lewes. What would have been fate of Prince Edward and Henry III, would they have been killed to stop support against De Montfort or would he keep them alive? Also, how would this affect the fate of England, would this trigger more civil war in England and how would England's neighbors react, would they do nothing like in the original timeline. What would become of the newly formed Parliament of England after De Montforts victory at Evesham. Also, in Long Term affects, how would the relationship between France and other Western European Countries and England be affected by the country still being led by Simon De Montfort than Henry III and then Edward I
I'm bicurious so I'm interested in sucking a dick for the first time. Can't host cuz I'm in high school and I can't drive either.
