Whether you are rooting for the post-apocalyptic Impossible Mad Matrix dance floor beats from the Ukraine, or the sursild-inspired post-boy-band-first-solo-single sounds of the Fjords, this is the place to be.
With the obvious exception of rule 2, and possibly 22, all normal sub rules apply.

I'm Sietse Bakker and I'm the Executive Producer Event at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 and responsible for all creative and event programming.
I have been working for the European Broadcasting Union since 2006, including as event supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2019 I was appointed as Executive Producer Event of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, which would take place in the Netherlands but was, like many other events, cancelled due to the pandemic, for the first time in its 64-year history. After the cancellation we immediately decided to do all we could to host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.
And we're back, hosting the biggest and most complex TV show the Netherlands ever had. Looking forward to answer all your questions about it.

I feel like it’s more important now than ever, since we have no live music, and very few TV events have similar magnetism.
Title pretty much. Final going on at the moment, how does all of this seem from the American perspective?
I was looking around Wikipedia articles about the contest, and I found that the Philippines once aired the 1972 contest in Edinburgh.
This can be confirmed from the writeup on eurovision.tv. The articles I've also visited moreover state that it was specifically broadcaster ABS-CBN without a commentator (which recently lost its franchise around a year ago); I cannot find a solid source yet regarding the broadcaster being ABS-CBN.
What are your opinions on this? Do you think the country would be able to broadcast the contest live once again in the future?
