A list of puns related to "Eugene Levy"
I donβt know if any of your heard about how the OiS app for Tumblr banned a bunch of words for βsafety reasons.β This is a list of the words that are now banned.
And somehow Eugene Levy made the list!
...I realize there's a universe in which Richard Schiff plays Jim's Dad in American Pie, and it makes me giggle thinking of him struggling with the line about "stroking the salami."
Personally I love his facial expressions as Johnny so much, and the slow repeats of words with a different expression. I think he is the heart of the show, and he gets not enough credit for that.
BTW: yes it is contribution, I am not a native English speaker.
I just love it when Johnny Rose repeats sentences to emphasize them. Eugene Levy is doing such a good job, it is so typical for the character. The repeated sentence usually has a slightly different phrasing. I could just watch that all day. "You're NOT my partner, Roland, not my PARTNER." "This is NOT a write-off, not a WRITE-OFF!" That's the post. Hooray for Johnny.

The last two days I discovered a niche sub-genre of documentary that Iβm deeply into which is documentary about really βout thereβ conspiracy theories and the people that believe in them. After binging all of Q: Into the Storm and following it up with Behind the Curve I think as a society we are primed for a mockumentary to help point out the insanity and let us all laugh at how ridiculous things have become. Enter Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy. Together they made a career creating brilliant mockumentaries like Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind, satirizing real world phenomena such as community theater, dog shows, and the folk music scene. Now that batshit insane conspiracy theories spread over the internet are a genuine phenomenon, I really would love to see a satirical take on them, in the mockumentary format. Anyone else really into seeing Guest and Levy, along with their staples like Catherine OβHara, Michael McKean, Parker Posey, Jennifer Coolidge, John Michael Higgins, and Michael Hitchcock all meet up for the first international conference of Lizard People Truthers?
Edit: Did not expect to get this massive a response, but Iβm thrilled to see that Guest and Levy have such a healthy fanbase! To respond to a few points Iβve seen repeated in the comments:
Itβs been pointed out that Guest and Levyβs formula is to take the mundane and inject it with lively and absurd characters to create comedy, so taking something as ridiculous as Qanon or Flat Earth wouldnβt fit their style. This is a fair critique. Although I do think they could make it work by flipping the formula, take a bunch of seemingly normal people with mundane lives and reveal they all believe something absolutely insane. That being said, maybe another creator like Armando Ianucci or the Documentary Now team would be a better fit. I went with Guest and Levy because theyβre the first creators to come to mind when I think of mockumentary.
I wouldnβt want the mocumentary to be specifically about Qanon (or Flat Earth but Qanon is clearly the more hot button issue), just something as obviously crazy. I agree that it wouldnβt be as funny if itβs making fun of something real, just the types of people that get sucked into the conspiracy theory wormhole.
And lastly, I didnβt consider how negatively Qanon has affected many people, from tearing apart their families over the ideology, to encouraging violence including the storming of the US capitol. Thankfully I donβt kn
In the entire series, we can hardly see Eugene Levy blink on screen. It is considered as a good practice for any actor to not blink and Eugene hardly blinks. Maybe that's why his acting is so on point during reaction shots. Whenever any other character acts crazy or says something weird, the shot cuts to Johnny's reaction(there are a lot of shots like this) and it hammers the scene home. His facial reactions act like a finishing piece.
