Ethel lived with her parents on one side of town, and Dan had an apartment to himself on the other side. Ethel tried to visit Dan as often as she could but it was two buses each way to visit Dan. Ethel decided to get a car to make the trip to see Dan easier. Do you know what sort of car she got? Sedan.

I attacked her until she ran out of HP, but then she turned into the Hag. And then she manages to escape by disappearing on the map. I think it would be interesting if Larian allowed to kill her on the spot, thus changing some sidequests related to her. 👌🏻
I woke up with this scene in my mind this morning and have been giggling to myself for the last hour. Ted is in a Vietnam army hospital and points out a fellow patient that thinks he's Ethel Merman. Ethen Merman jumps out of bed, singing her signature song, and is only quelled when several orderlies show up and sedate her. Super funny.
That got me thinking. What if Ethel Merman had been doing an ISO Tour and got separated from her entourage? Then she was picked up by the MPs (military police) who did not believe her and sent her to the hospital ward? Now she's trying everything she can do to prove her identity, but keeps getting shut down and sedated?
Edit: It's actually Merman, not Murman.
Not sure if folks have already discovered this but I killed Auntie Ethel before she was able to leave the tea house and retreat to her inner sanctum…and this allowed me to avoid all of the upcoming fights I thought I was going to have to do. Pretty nice to just stroll on in and do whatever I wanted.

i know everyone says this but i really really wish that they showed what happened to ethel or she came back even for an episode

I killed Auntie Ethel 3 times without her managed to escape in this game (the first one with witch Bolt; second one with Guidance bolt & 3rd one with Lae’zel melee attack action surge combo followed by Astarion heavy crossbow shots). I only managed to cast speak to the dead on the 3rd one (since you know the corpse is too damaged on the first two). And I found out that she’s already planning to get killed and have her soul trapped in the amulet I looted. Is she really dead/ she come back from the dead later on.
She’s just sitting there yelling. I killed Ethel before she begged me for her life with a either well timed or poorly timed moonbeam and now mariyana is stuck
