I have a pass to get into the Estée Lauder corporate store that I bought off gumtree a while ago. Does anyone know if I can bring a friend with me or does she also need a pass of her own?

A bit of a random one today. I picked this bottle of Estée Lauder ‘Knowing’ up today after receiving a sample.

For some reason I fell absolutely in love with this scent, despite the fact that it is too strong, a little bizarre, and almost off-putting. I don’t put it on my body— it always goes on my hairbrush or pillowcase. But I can’t get enough of the scent in my hair, which smells like a day in the woods.

I think what really speaks to me about it is its complexity. I’m new to fragrance so my nose isn’t the most refined, but I do okay picking up notes in general. With Knowing, the layers are so rich and complex (especially after the top notes, which are a bit much, are gone) that it feels like its own little world of wood and herbs and animals.

Like I said above, this fragrance comes so so close to being way too much but somehow it works for me. That said, it feels too austere or mature for me (I’m a 25 y/o f student) to spray all over my clothes and body every day so I use it strategically on clothes and hair. I also love burying my face in my pillowcase sprayed with this, maybe with a bit of a Tonka based fragrance on top. Does anybody else own/use this?

I used to use Estée Lauder double wear light in shade 1. It was perfect.

Now they stopped making it and I am using the Estée Lauder hyrda rescue foundation and the lightest is ecru. But that is slightly a little too dark for me.

So if you have tried the above which shade would you recommend I use? 10 or 20?

Or if you have a swatch of both the Estée Lauder ecru together with the 10 or 20 urban that would be great

I don’t like using bronzer and I just use some blush.

I have oily skin and have struggled to find a foundation to control my oil. I’ve been trying this foundation with benefit’s porefessional primer and I have so far not been impressed. It looks too dry on the skin and hard to blend (I use a beauty blender). I’ve heard this foundation is people’s holy grail. Am I prepping wrong?

Hi everyone! I am trying to find a dupe for the mascara listed above. This was my mom’s holy grail mascara, but it’s no longer being made. She ran out of her last tube last year, and no other brown mascaras she’s tried have measured up for her. She says the black, which is still being made, is good formula wise, but she prefers the brown color since she’s blonde with greenish hazel eyes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My favourite foundation for ages has been EL DW Light but it’s now discontinued and I’m gutted.

I’m 30, oily skin with large pores on my nose and cheeks, my skin is clear, not sensitive and I have no other skin concerns. My skin is warm and I wear fake tan so I wear a light-medium with yellow undertone - 2W1 in the EL DW, Nars custard creamy concealer.

My main issue with foundation is that they melt off, wear patchy or separate, especially on my nose and chin. This happens regardless of primer, powder or finishing spray. Although some primers/powders help with other foundations, EL DW Light was the only foundation that stayed on all day.

I’ve tried the following and do not get on with them:

IT Cosmetics CC (doesn’t hold up on my skin, separates), L’Oreal True Match (doesn’t hold up on my skin, vanishes), Maybelline FitMe (just goes super oily in oily patches), Bobbi Brown fluid to Powder (couldn’t find a decent colour match, warm beige is in fact very pink), normal EL DW (too heavy, don’t need that much coverage), Fenty Soft Matte Longwear (lasts but makes my skin look powdery and old, too much coverage), Nars Sheer Glow (wears off too quickly).

Suggestions so so welcome as I have no idea what I’m going to do!

Currently I'm using Avène Tolérance Extrême and it's almost empty so I have to buy a new moisturizer soon. It's nice but it makes my skin just a little bit too moisturized for my liking if that makes any sense? At night it's okay but if I use it during the day in combination with other products my face gets too shiny.

I think I have sensitive combination skin or dry skin, I'm not sure. It gets red and irritated super easily. I've had especially bad reactions to perfume and niacinamide but that was 10% so maybe I'd be okay with a lower amount. I don't really want to take risks though.

In the past I struggled with dermatillomania (skin-picking disorder) which damaged my skin. It still gets triggered sometimes when my skin feels dry or I "sense" something on my skin. So finding products that soften the texture of my skin but don't feel heavy is really important to me.

I was going to buy a moisturizer from La Roche-Posay next, after reading recommendations on here. BUT then I saw that a local store has a 25% discount for most Estée Lauder and Clinique products right now. I couldn't find anything about Estée Lauder on here and I wonder what you all think, especially of "DayWear Anti-Oxidant 72H-Hydration Sorbet Creme SPF15"? Maybe someone can explain the point of a 72 hour moisturizer to me, is it for people who don't apply every day? 😅

How do I make the Estée Lauder look natural? This is the only foundation that holds up well with my oily skin and skipping out on powder is not an option 😅

So I have started my first bottle of this serum a few months ago and have been using it only at night - 4 drops each time. Then I realized wait it says to use it both night and day (despite it being called “night repair”)? Then again today I realized that the website says to use an entire dropper full of the serum per session on face and neck! Huh?? Any experiences or tips? Lol. Also, does anyone get a little pilling from this serum when using a whole dropper amount?
