A list of puns related to "Engine Cooling"
I'll keep this short:

... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβve been working on a 4 prop seaplane in stormworks, it uses 2 3x3 modular engines, each with 3 cylinders.
Each 3 cylinder engine has: 3 air intakes 1 fuel intake 2 coolent manifolds
For each: 1 manifold connects to an open air 5x5 electric radiator with 2 fluid pumps
1 manifold connects to 2 connected 3x3 open air electric radiators with 1 fluid pump
Even so after ~2-3 mins of flying regardless of rps or fuel intake the engines will overheat.
Iβve been searching online for how to successfully cool a 3x3 engine with no success. Any suggestions/things that could help?
Note: this plane is a work-in-progress

Name: Overheating Seaplane (WIP)
I know this is a fairly frequent topic, I really quite like the versatility of modular engines and I also like having engines that rev a bit more. I absolutely despise playing this game with "optimal" engines that operate at what, 6 RPS? You can barely hear them, to me it completely and utterly breaks any immersion.
The modular engines are fun to set up and tinker with, up until the point you get to cooling. It seems like no matter what or how I set up cooling - they will always accumulate heat until they start overheating.
Whenever I've used the normal diesel engines on boats I've used a liquid-liquid cooling system to great effect, this same system on a modular just does not work - no matter the size or how many pumps I add.
I've tried having more separate loops, each with their own cooling system and manifold. It just won't work.
Are they bugged? Poorly balanced? Or is this just the overall design of the game? To have all engines operate at such low RPS's that they sound as if they're about to choke any second?
I have since stopped using modular engines entirely, they're simple not worth the hassle when it comes to the cooling. Always the same issue. :/
For quite some time now I have been having a hard time with cooling modular engines. Most recently I have been working on a VTOL and using two 2 cylinder 3x3 engines. When flying at 20 RPS in hover mode, the temps stabilize at around 78C, when in plane mode the engines will overheat. I am using 2 cooling manifolds each with a 5x5 radiator PER CYLINDER and it still will not stay cool. I am also getting around 40 L/S of flow through each loop.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Im new to aircooled engines and there are scarce info on google. thanks.
Hello, Is it a good idea to combine a water cooling of an air-to-water intercooler and engine cooling into a 1 system ? If yes, what would it require ?
I`ve build setup with 1 cylinder modular engine and with basic small engine.
When I turn off basic engine it starts cooling very fast, but when I turn of modular it cooling like 1 degree per minute.

Here is the link to my boat. Spent about 2 days troubleshooting my cooling. Can someone please take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong?

some people suggested that I upload and put the link here for the boat with the engine in question along with the post so here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2626555674 please fix the dam cooling and extra points if you can make the ship go faster.
Hey guys Iβve been looking into a hulix surf and a hiace, Iβm leaning the a hiace with the 2.8 turbo diesel. I was reading about how these engines can over heat easily, is that common and what kind of fixes are out there?
I have a 4-cylinder 3x3 engine for a ship. It works great but it needs better cooling. Right now, it uses 12 large electric radiators, but the heat shoots up above 5 RPS, meaning the ships is pretty slow. Can these be cooled effectively or is this just a waste of time?
So, i have 26 radiators linked to my engine, 6 of which are underwater and i can't have my engine at more than 65% or else it catches fire. Does anyone know what to do?
Iβve noticed recently that my car hasnβt been maintaining its engine temperature well. Itβs not overheating, but the thermometer gauge on my car has been running up to 3/4 to the red line after 10-15 minutes of driving. Iβve checked the fluid level in the reservoir, and although itβs a touch low, Iβm not sure if that alone is the issue. Is there anything else I should check before I add more fluid?
