Just an interesting thing I picked up on. Both series are from Russell T Davies, if that makes it more interesting.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

In part one of the Cold Steel series, it is mentioned by someone (I do not remember who, though) that Thors Military Academy Instructor Sara Valestein is one of the strongest combatants in all of Erebonia. This is a very significant claim to make about someone, so I wanted to do a fun little investigation into this claim to see just how true this really rings and put such a claim into a new perspective that is rarely seen from.

The objective will be to scale Sara on a list with other Erebonian characters based on the timeline of Part One. If she makes the top ten, then we can say with the utmost confidence that she was certainly one of the strongest in the Empire at that point in time. The way I wrote this list was starting Sara at the top and moving her down the list each time I think of a character stronger than her. The list ends after the tenth character or I cannot think of any more characters stronger than her.

Here are some slight disclaimers:

1. No matter whether Sara makes the top ten strongest or not, the line will still ring true. There are a LOT of Erebonians, and even if you factor out non-combatants, she is still amongst the strongest anyway by the fact that Erebonia's combat strength is concentrated in its military, most of which cannot match Sara in strength. The ones who outclass her will likely be a high ranking figure of the military, or a character associated with some outlier organization.

2. Prepare for spoilers up to Part Four; while no specific plot event past part one and two will be discussed, the spoilers will mostly lie in the discussing of characters and names from well past the timeline of part one.

3. This list will strictly be a scaling of strength; characters who are ranked higher than Sara may not necessarily beat her in a fight (even though most probably will, haha) because there is a lot more nuance to determining a fight's outcome than just power. Also, characters who are ranked above Sara are not necessarily ranked in order from strongest to least so (I am just listing who came to my mind first).

4. The characters being factored in are limited to active Erebonians, for obvious reasons. Most of (if not, all) Ourobouros will be disqualified from consideration in this list because characters in that organization have no real ties to Erebonia, and the activities they engage in will put them basically anywhere in the continent.

5. Finally, the basis of strength in relation to other characters is
