There's an upbeat 80s pop song featuring guitars, with a male singer, and I have a bit of the melody of the chorus in my head. I don't know any lyrics, but there's a part sung by I think some background singers or maybe it's an instrumental that sounds like this:

For some reason I'm associating this song with Magic, or Sorcery, or the fantasy genre, or some movie with those things in it? That might be a red herring, because I don't know why that would make sense.
It doesn't get much recognition because it's hidden within a de facto Christmas song. Led Zeppelin and Jim Jim Hendrix get all the fame but what about Mike Oldfield? The dude's a legend and his guitar solo in In Dulci Jubilo deserves far more praise. And who can forget the tune he did for Blue Peter, check out his stuff when you can
