A list of puns related to "Eibsee Cable Car"
It's my 11th created course, but I finally got my 1st course approved on TGC: Eibsee, Germany. I tried to recreate one of the most beautiful places in the world, but it's a lot better in person.
My favorite hole is 11, a par 5 with a Biarritz green. Let me know what you think!
So, if anyone is using some relatively widespread brand (like Baseus, UGREEN, choetech or similar) for a similar scenario, pls share your brand/model.
Disclaimer: those who don't have phone holder attached to a monitor, pls don't read further, it won't make a lot of sense to you:) I'm looking for experience-based advise. Thank you!
Mandatory requirements:
As it's often hard to know upfront if smth is adjustable enough, I'm not asking for Aliexpress links, as I should be able to return it if it doesn't fit.
Thought it looks like kinda simple question ("there are millions of those, take any"), it turned out to be not so straightforward.
I've even tried to find a combination of two holders from same manufacturer, but couldn't spot anything in "A/B" brands catalogs. Like, taking "gooseneck with suction cup" from one model and "holding head" with wireless charging/etc from another model. Will try to combine cross-manufacturers products, but that will be kinda last resort.
Great majority of them aren't really usable when you try to attach them to the back of your display/screen and adjust camera to look at you for telecons.
The last one I've used was Baseus Osculum (WXYL-A01):
I've tried to find smth from Baseus/Ugreen with flexible arm meeting those requirements - no luck (kinda similar to UGREEN LP113, but with wireless charging and mountable to a monitor, not to the table).
Nice to have features are:
Just had my battery charged at autozone because my car wasnβt starting. They recommended I could check the alternator of my car by unplugging the negative cable of the battery after I turned the engine on. I did so, and the car kept running, but my windshield wipers started wiping super fast. I decided to turn the car back off after about 30 seconds because I didnβt want to ruin anything. Besides the windshield wipers there was a noticeable decrease in how strong the car was running after I took off the negative cable. What could this tell me about why my car wasnβt starting before I charged my battery?
I recently found out that a rodent chewed through the ABS sensor cable on my 2020 Nissan Sentra, taking out the ABS system, cruise control, as well as emergency breaking - right before a long winter trip through freezing rain. That's right, a simple mouse can take out your ABS and emergency breaking.
This can happen on all cars, but newer cars are even more susceptible to this, as the exposed cables were recently switched to eco-friendly insulation made of soy - making them very tasty for rodents to chew on.
Nissan, as well as other automotive manufacturers, have monopolized parts on these newer cars, and charged me over $1000 to simply replace the ABS sensor and the cabling. You also wont get much better deals elsewhere, as even your most honest mechanic has to buy these parts from the manufacturer at these insane prices.
To prevent all this, the next time you or your mechanic gets under your car, you can spray the exposed cables with a peppermint-based rodent spray, smells great for you, not so much for the rodents. Spraying some around your engine compartment to prevent any rodents from nesting and chewing the wires there is also a good idea.
A more ideal solution might also be to use rodent tape treated with capsaicin, your mechanic might appreciate this, knowing that your car components aren't covered with some kind of spicy deterrent that will get on their hands.
I'm not talking about electric cars I'm talking about the electricity when I plug my phone charger in for example. Where does it come from? How long does it last? Do I need to refill it somehow?
I'm not a car guy so any help is greatly appreciated!
Edit: thank you everyone. Very helpful comments. r/cars has a great community.
