A list of puns related to "Edgar Evans"
With the three flavor Cornetto movies, we always see a Cornetto brand ice cream wrapper in each of the movies(Shaun - Red, Hot Fuzz - Blue, World's End - Green). Now, with The Interview and This is the End, they use a dog(same breed and dog, not sure what breed though) as an allusion to the movies. In This is the End, you see this dog when everybody is rocking out to the Backstreet Boys in heaven. As for The Interview, it's the dog Kim Jong-Un gives Skylark(Franco). After The Credits of The Interview(not sure if this is after the credits of This is the End), we see a picture of the same dog, with the name "Digby" under it and also the words In Dedication.
Also borrowing some formula from the Cornetto movies is the duo. Pegg and Frost = Franco and Rogan, and also Rogan and Goldberg = Pegg and Wright. You could say Pineapple Express is apart of this trilogy, but it doesn't have the dog, and it was made by Judd Appatow. So, it's like how the movie Paul(also staring Rogan) is to the Cornetto trilogy.

Why Find These Numbers?
A few year's back I became curious as to how many fighters would actually qualify for Reebok's top performance tier for payout money. They tout it around as if it is something easy to achieve, but in reality only 90 fighters would qualify for such a tier, with only 48 of them being active in the first place.
For those not in the know, fighters whom have more 20+ Zuffa bouts under their belt received 20k in incentivized Reebok money per fight (now 25k Crypto.com Money). So, basically only about 7% of the current roster qualifies, and only 4% of all the UFC Fighters in general would qualify.
It is NOT a proper incentive when it is damn near impossible to ever even qualify for. However, I feel that the select few fighters whom do end up sticking around the UFC long enough to reach such a tier, should be getting a whole lot more!
It really is quite amazing to be able to have more than 20+ UFC bouts! One would have to fight at least 3 times a year for 7 years to qualify - to go that long without getting cut is a miracle onto itself!
A Retirement Plan?
As such I was thinking that perhaps the UFC could institute a "retirement plan" for fighters whom survive for this long. Meaning, that if a UFC Fighter lasts to 20+ fights, and wants to retire (after hitting a certain age bracket, let's say 38) then they have a job w/ benefits waiting for them. Kind of like the job that Forrest Griffin has.
Or, if the fighters do not want to take the "ambassador" job, then they can still sit on their asses and collect 1k a month, plus medica benefits, and access to the Performance Institute. Granted that they do not ever compete in MMA again. If they decide they don't want to retire, and the UFC is unwilling to provide them w/ fights, then they can forfeit their benefits and go fight elsewhere.
WWE actually does a decent job of this, with their "road agent" programs. This is where retired wrestlers stick with the company and scout/train new talent, or help produce the live events.
Either way, there should be something greater awaiting these fighters whom have put in the work (and years) to make it this far...something besides CTE. Guys like Melvin Guillard would really benefit greatly from such a program existing.

... keep reading on reddit β‘hullo hullo, i've just finished a big essay project on Lucian of Samosata. He's a syrian satirist from the 2nd century and was active in athens, and we've got around 80 of his works (they are brilliant, go and read them now)
before I started the project, i'd never heard of him, and neither had anyone i know. not even in that vague way you'd know aristophanes or pliny even if you'd never read anything of them, just from having heard them around. lucian seems to be sorely underappreciated. i only found out about him through an episode of a podcast i listen to them premise of which was "hey! i'd never heard about this guy but now i have and he's cool"
so from this lovely broad pool of classicists, how well acquainted is everyone with lucian? a bit? very? not at all and you think he's got a silly name?
One theory Iβve posited over the past few months involves Citadel and Point72βs $2.75 billion-dollar cash infusion having actually been collateral for securities lending and the notion Reddit and Retail Investors were intentionally used as scapegoats by these entities in pursuit of confidential filing approval by the SEC.
While I still stand by my theory a couple of itβs shortcomings have since dawned on me that portray an even more cohesive, cynical explanation of events when taken into account.
A failure to recognize that Melvin Capital itself, like Reddit and Retail Investors, has been a manufactured scapegoat since early January 2021.
The inability to have identified Gary Cohnβs involvement in the acquisition of Melvinβs assets as part of a Private Credit Repayment scheme.
This post will expand upon how I came to these conclusions and explain why I believe itβs plausible that Melvin has only been a shell of itβs former self over the past year.
In December 2020 Robert Rasamny was appointed Melvin Capitalβs new Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Not much was made of this at the time but it just so happens that Rasamny also serves as General Counsel and CCO for a Cayman Islands exempted Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) named Cohn Robbins Holdings Corp that was recently incorporated by none other than Gary Cohn - the 11th Director of the National Economic Council, former President and COO of Goldman Sachs and ally of Point72βs Steve Cohen.
The timing couldnβt have been more peculiar given Cohn Robbinsβ stated purpose:
> βWe were formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses or entities (a βBusiness Combinationβ).β - SEC - March 31st, 2021
And description of activities through the end of December 31st, 2020:

It turned out to be a bit more of a struggle than I thought it was going to be, so I decided to simply sort it by WAR. Does that mean that sometimes a better player got left off the list for a player who simply had a longer career? Absolutely. But WAR is a nice simple stat. So, here's the list!

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
So I'm always looking books like this, and I see threads asking for this same thing all the time. I figured I would make a list of the ones I know about and offer it to you all.
I'm a habitual non-finisher of book series, and it's been a while since I read many of these so there are a lot of question marks when I didn't get to the end or if I couldn't remember, but I did the best I could.
The document is in an Google spreadsheet that is available for all to comment, but I'll also include a list below. If anyone wants to add more or make edits shoot me a PM and I'll allow you to edit the doc.
Here is the Google Sheets link
Other than Title and Author, here are the categories:
Primary/Secondary Genre: I made my best guess, and didn't stick to officially recognized genres. It's good enough I think.
POV: Male or Dual POV. This is straight forward. Occasionally I don't remember and sometimes it's not clear. There may be a few minor POVs in some of these, but except for a few cases, none of these are multi POV stories with hundreds of characters (Dune and Cradle perhaps being the biggest exceptions).
Romance: 1 to 5 rating for how much romance is in each story. 5: the romance is the main plot. 4: the romance is core to the main plot. 3: the romance is one of the major plots 2: the romance is a subplot 1: token romance or minor romance very late in the series
HEA aka Happily Ever After: Does the couple end up together and (apparently) live happily ever after at the end of the book/series? As I said I struggle to finish books, so maybe help me out a little here. I left a lot blank
Non-Human: Are either of the love interests non human? If so which one. I list the race in the "Notes" section when necessary
LGBTQ: As requested, I added a column that states which books in a series feature an LGBTQ main couple. Right now it's just 1 book and reads "book 3 M/M". You could presumably do M/NB or something else if necessary. Depending on how many/if any more get added, I might create a new tab for it. Anyway, this works for now.
Dual Narration: Is there an audiobook version where the male and female have different voice actors?
Here's the list with just titles and authors:
Ready Player One - Ernest Cline
Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss
Armada - Ernest Cline
Red Rising - Pierce Brown
Iron Druid Chron

If you haven't already, please read Part 1 of this post βWhy Gamestop may be the Opportunity of a Lifetime, and why you should take another look at itβ.
The premise for this post is the theory that GameStop Shares (GME) have been, and continue to be, heavily manipulated. The manipulation has created extensive counterfeit shares and hidden failure to deliver (FTD) short positions. When these counterfeit shares and short positions are forced to cover and close their positions, there is a high probability of a βShort Squeezeβ or a 'MOASS.
1. Explaining Short Selling & Naked Short Selling
2. Explaining the Bankruptcy Jackpot and MOASS Theory
3. GameStop's History
Short Selling
The selling of shares you donβt own is called short selling. Market participants will sell a share they donβt own, with a commitment to buy it back later and the intention that they repurchase the share at a lower price than they sold it. If the price goes up, short sellers have an infinite risk. For example, if you hold GME and a Short Hedge Fund (SHF) needs to buy your share to cover their short position and no one else is selling, the SHF must pay your asking price = infinite loss potential to the SHF.
Short Squeeze
A short squeeze is an unusual condition that triggers rapidly rising prices in a stock. When a stock is heavily shorted, and investors are buying shares β which pushes the price up β short sellers start buying to cover their position and minimize losses as the price keeps rising. This can create a βshort squeezeβ:
If a stock's price rises quickly, then short sellers sometimes scramble to close out their positions as rapidly as possible. For a short squeeze to occur, the security must have an unusual degree of short sellers holding positions in it. As the price jumps unexpectedly higher, short positions can also be forced to cover and close their short positions. This adds buying pressure and contributes to increasing the price of the stock. This higher price may cause other short positions to be forced to cover and close their short positions, driving the price even higher. Typically this is accompanied by other long investors also purchasing the stock in an attempt to profit from the short squeeze (often referred to as FOMO).
Naked Short Selling
Typically, you cannot sel

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

Inspired by u/K-JOAQUINN's post speculating that Bayonetta's theme song will be East of the Sun (West of the Moon), I decided to share my collection of moon-related jazz standards with you all. These songs are all from the golden era of swing and have established themselves as popular songs to cover.
I'll break this into three categories: my favorites, other candidates, and honorable mentions.
My Favorites:
