I have an appointment scheduled with the Mayo EDS clinic in Jacksonville next week. I just filled out an intake questionnaire and it's hitting me how real this is, even though I have had months to process it. I have to fly into JAX from out of state and I am stressed about flying to a place I have never been before, for a one day appointment. Stressed thinking about how my flight could get delayed or I wake up late... things that I shouldn't be worried about. I think I was in a really different place when I first reached out to Mayo, my symptoms are much more managed now and I am in less pain overall. This time last year I had no idea what was wrong with me, never heard of HSD or EDS. I think I really need a team of doctors to help me tie everything together and give me a definitive diagnosis (getting genetic testing and all that).
I am pretty confident that I am going to get the care that I need at Mayo, so far they seem very thorough in asking about my symptoms, even before I get there. It is very daunting though, I feel like I won't be able to sleep the night before my appointment. If anyone has experience with the Mayo EDS clinic in Jacksonville, I would love to hear it, for reassurance lol. I want this to go as smoothly as possible, so any tips would be appreciated!
Y'all, it's been real, but I've had a HELL of a couple weeks that have led me to reprioritize a LOT of things in my life. Next up is the Ed Cope Project Venturous! This bad boy is from Ed Cope, the incredible Tom Mayo's protégé! Ed takes a lot of influence from Mayo and it really shows in this knife. It's extremely well built and drops shut with no issues (check out the video)! Cope also had this knife ground very thin and had it assembled entirely in the USA. It also has excellent ergos. Last up we have the incredible Hogue Mini Ritter! Now after Benchmade for some crazy reason discontinued the Ritter Grip we were all disappointed. But now, finally, Hogue has partnered with Doug Ritter and brought back the Ritter Grip! This Mini Ritter is all I could have hoped for and more. Hogue really just knocks it out of the park with these. It genuinely makes me wonder why anyone would ever buy a Benchmade Ritter Grip again, they're that good. I normally have pretty luscious skin for the most part. When I eat too much mayo tho, my face just breaks out like it’s no ones business. After seeing the last episode of 90 day I realized that Rose Marie is rubbing her head with Ed making her acne flair up. Thoughts?
