A list of puns related to "Easy Star All Stars"
I have been playing in a weekly game of Star Trek Adventures for a couple of months now and it has been a really interesting experience. The game runs unbelievably smoothly not because it is some sort of mechanical marvel, but because everybody at the table just understands what Star Trek is, we have all seen hundreds of episodes of Starfleet officers solving problems and it makes navigating through the sessions feel really natural, especially when the system so perfectly mirrors that structure.
I feel like there is a lesson there that a lot of other games could learn from. Having a couple of pages of example play is great, but your target should really be explaining the bigger picture of how the system expects challenges to be presented and solved.
A game that comes to mind that fails at doing this is Exalted 3e, when we came into that system having played a great deal of 2e it was a shock. EX3e was not as mechanically broken with perfect attacks and defenses like 2e, but it did present a whole new swathe of narrative breaking powers and no context for how they should be used, or if they even should be used. We thought we understood Exalted, but in reality it took a long time and multiple campaigns to understand how to make EX3e really work as a game because the book didn't set that out for you. We had to learn to not make all the optimal choices because the system just didn't support that sort of focus.
I'd like to see games say more than "this is a grim and gritty world where life is cheap and expendable" or "this is a land of myth and magic where heroes are like gods". Those are both starting points, but if you dont have hundreds of hours of television perfectly explaining how you intend the game to work like Star Trek adventures you need to give much more specific details. Break down what sessions look like element by element, explain exactly what a character's arc is going to look like over the course of 20 sessions, tell me where the neccisary but hazardous narrative and mechanical pitfalls in the system are. And don't just do this in the GMs section in the back that none of the players will read, integrate it right into character creation and the pages of talents, spells, and other features.
Im interested to hear what systems you think do this right or wrong too!
Want to keep this as simple as possible. This will get you quick, and easy wins vs the most dominant team in the game.
Team: Leader- JKR , Bastilla, GMY, Kenobi, and Darth Revan ( Zetas for DR not neccessary)
So like all battles we start with speed. Your JKR must be faster than their DR. And your DR must be faster than their Fallen Bastilla. That's it. *Note:If your DR is not faster than their DS Bastilla, your gmy should be. Use battle meditation to shield your DR with tenacity up, so he can inflict fear on the entire team
Use JKR (direct focus) on their DR. This will increase his CD. Begin attacking him with your basic with gmy (stay away from aoe's for now because it will trigger fear from malak). Next use your Darth Revan's (insanity) ability to inflict fear on their entire team, and again increase their DR's cd's. Use Bastilla to give all the buffs to gmy, then have him spread them, giving your team tenacity up. Ds Bastilla wont be able to inflict anything, and because their DR has lost so many turn because of fear, and CD increases he should not be able to get an insanity attack the entire battle.
Once gmy has his buffs, and their DR has multiple stacks of ferocity; it should be easy to one shot him at full health. Then take out DS Bastilla, remembering to keep tenacity up on your allies with yoda. If sith trooper taunts you can remove it with Bastilla, and also use your DR to inflict shock to block any buffs on their team. Kill their ds Bastilla, then their HK-47, and then sith trooper. You can probably imagine how much havoc you can do with a DR that has all Bastilla's buffs plus ferocity!
At this point their malak has pretty much been inconsequential. You can inflict him with shock to prevent his healing, and stun him with gmy and Bastilla. Also you may have been able to get off a few more fear, and direct focus CD increases on him. At this point when he's all alone hes pretty easy to kill (depending on star level).
There it is, a smooth dominant win against the paywall/nerf protected juggernaut. Feel free to ask questions π€πΌπ
Don't forget to curse EA games when you win! π
π Fuck CG and all their pay 2 win bullshitππ© π
I can not find a good website or video with all the current star levels. I hope they will add previews in the game like everyone is saying.

The goalies seemed balanced in pro, and you can score on them with a good grinder or one timer(or breakaway) but as soon as you go to all-star they enable cheat codes. You might as well have a brick fucking walk in front of the net, and every breakaway ends with you getting crushed in the middle of your deke.
How the hell do I beat it? Please help

Hey guys, dont upvote this if its a repost or anything but im all out of ideas.
just got the game recently and I've been having trouble finding the right balance between Pro and all-star dificulty.
I blow teams out 8-1, 6-0 on pro but then on all star I cant seem to get anything going. I have no idea what my ai teammates are doing and the opponents AI seem to steal the puck away from by barely nudging me.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've been trying to play this game for a month now and I'm about to just call it quits. I'm hoping I just suck and its not a game problem because I've been pumped to get back into this franchise as I hadn't played ina few years.
