A list of puns related to "Eastern Association Of Rowing Colleges"
Sup guys, Iβm a senior in HS and I got into rowing over the summer. Fam got me a Concept2 for my birthday in October and been grinding ever since alongside wrestling season. I am 5β10 160lb and relatively a fit guy, endurance wise and strength wise. Is it even possible for me to make a d1 rowing team, or am I simply too short and too small?
How come whenever a fantasy novel or movie features a location themed around gothic horror tropes such as small superstitious peasant villages, forests, vampire filled castles etc. itβs always set in a vaguely Austro-Hungarian empire themed location. Why is there an association in the pop cultural imagination between gothic horror and the balkans/central-eastern europe? What about the Austrian-hunagarian and Russian empires led Europeans to utilize them this way?
My daughter is new to the erg. What are your suggestions for the best training program? We are looking for a program that doesn't assume previous knowledge but will walk her through things step-by-step. Some additional info: We have a Concept 2 rower at home. My daughter is a competitive gymnast who trains 16 hours a week. She started sculling last year, so she has some experience on the water. A monthly subscription model like Dark Horse is fine (doesn't need to be a free plan). Just looking for the best plan to help her understand the erg and get her on the path to having her numbers be the best they can be. Thank you for any help and suggestions.

Anyone know the SAT scores that colleges in America are looking for considering you have a pretty fast 2k?
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 73%. (I'm a bot)
> Scientists from The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing have published new research which examines the relationship between folate and vitamin B12 status and its associations with greater prevalence of depressive symptoms in a group of community-dwelling older adults.
> Understanding the link between folate or low B12 status and depression in later life is important as depression is a risk factor for functional decline, admission to residential care and early death.
> The study uses data from TILDA, and examines participants aged 50 years and over who were assessed at Wave 1 of the study and who provided measurement of plasma folate and plasma B12 and screening for depression.
> Key Findings of the study The study finds that low B12 status is associated with a significantly greater risk of depressive symptoms over four-year period, but no such associations were observed for folate.
> This study is highly relevant given the high prevalence of incident depression in older adults living in Ireland, and especially following evidence to show that one in eight older adults report high levels of low B12 deficiency rates.
> Given the rise in loneliness and depression in older adults after the onset of COVID-19 restrictions, this study highlights the importance of increasing B12 intake or supplementation to help mitigate against potential risk factors of depression in older adults.

Former college swimmer turned covid erg-er coming in peace - just curious how much a solid D1 program put in most weeks during training. Weβd typically put in 9 workouts a week for ~2 hours swimming and then 2-3 lifts a week. Knowing the relative demands on your body are fairly different but nothing else about your sport, would be interesting to learn. Thanks!
Also, as a bonus, was it too much? Shoulder blowouts are so common in college swimming, I couldnβt help but think our volume was too high back in the day. Thanks!

I know people like to give a common sense story that goes something like this.
"Well you see, the night is dark, and the night is scary because it's dark, and black is the darkest thing, therefore black is associated with the night and thus is scary and evil."
Is this true? Can we know this is true?
